TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------

Is it true that some guy tied balloons to a lawn chair and
flew several miles into the sky?

What is the Darwin Award?

--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------

What poet wrote the famous line, "How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways"?

Poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote that famous line
to her husband, poet Robert Browning, in the late
nineteenth century. Here is the complete poem:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to
the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach,
when feeling out of sight For the ends of being and ideal
grace. I love thee to the level of every day's Most quiet
need, by sun and candle-light. I love thee freely, as men
strive for right. I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs,
and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I
seemed to lose With my lost saints. I love with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall
but love thee better after death.

When balloons escape into the sky, how high
can they go?

It depends what they're made of. Mylar balloons (the ones
that look as though they are made of foil) only go up about
a mile before they pop, but latex balloons can rise as far
up as six miles. That may not seem like a surprising distance,
but it's at about the same altitude that jetlines cruise.
Weather balloons, of course, can fly much higher.

Pick A Higher Standard

No matter how hard my mom tries, every plant or flower
she has attempted to grow seems to wither and die an
untimely death under her care. But she never gives up
hope.

While she was visiting home recently, my sister nudged
me and pointed to a line of new plants placed by the
kitchen window. "Look," she whispered, "death row."

I get amused at how people come to the conclusions
they do. The above joke, on the surface, is funny, except
for one thing; the mother could also have a reputation
for persistence.

I know folks like this who can't seem to grow plants.
She will learn. On the other hand I know lots of folks too,
who are no good as heart surgeons. Each of us has a
talent. We need not make fun of those who are trying
to develop another.

The human condition is like that. They will take only
the things they want and make a case of it, being
completely wrong in a lot of cases. It can be seen at
an early age where you get kids that all pick on a kid
"from across the tracks", or who is poor enough his/her
family can't keep up in clothing styles, or who has
some malady that allows them to walk somewhat
crippled. There and then we call it vicious and we all
know kids can be vicious at times. We just never
care to think we carry that into our adult lives.
Sorry folks ... we do.

Again it puts me in mind of developing a higher
standard of values and sticking by them through all
conditions. It is too easy to go with the flow. It is too
easy to do what the group is doing even when it is
wrong. In the group, somehow, what you are doing
doesn't seem so wrong, yet you wouldn't think of
doing it if you were alone.

In developing higher standards and sticking with
them it will help keep you on the right track even if
the group you are in is doing the wrong thing. You
can stand out in a group. You can help lead a group
the right way. You can lead. But at least you can be
true to your own standards rather than be tossed to
and fro like a sheep in the flock.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -
by Karin Henderson

Mercury / Amalgam Dental Fillings
PART 8 of 8

This subject is extensively covered in Your Complete
Guide to Mercury Detoxification: How to Safely Remove
Mercury from Your Teeth and Body (available in early
2005). This book specifically deals with every aspect
of mercury detoxification and I know it will be very
helpful for those that decide to go the detoxification
route. It is also beneficial to begin mercury
detoxification before and during amalgam filling
removal, especially for those with mercury related
symptoms or diseases.

Conclusion

I believe that anyone who is still not convinced about
how the mercury released from their amalgam fillings is
affecting their health should take the time to read A
Mouth Full of Poison. Our website,
www.mercuryfreenow.com will provide them with
additional information about the health hazards of
mercury and about the books. Visitors can also add
their names to an email notification list that will
tell them when Your Complete Guide to Mercury
Detoxification will be available.

I applaud your efforts to help and support those
suffering from Meniere’s and other health issues and I
hope, in some small way, that I have contributed to
that.

In Health,

Tom

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Mazunta was back in about five minutes with a
smile on his face that stretched from ear to ear.

One of the things about living by higher law
was that you could know in advance of what was
happening. It didn't take long for the group to
tune in to see Mazunta had made arrangements for
the fire tonight to be a special one in honor of
Tim and Sharon.

Love was important to these people. They had
learned long ago that things go better when love
is present, and, long ago, they made a group
decision to teach that principle to all in the
village, especially the children. Over the years
they had been able to develop a condition where,
naturally, love was the dominant characteristic of
the village. As a result they prospered, enjoyed
peace and were almost unique among villages that
lined the river.

They had created a ceremony that honored love
and when they saw young couples in love they then
held that ceremony at their regular evening fire.
This night would be one of those.

Sam and Alewka smiled. It filled their hearts
with gladness that Tim had found his mate of
choice. They knew things would be fine. Sharon,
having learned higher law meant that the pair of
them were now equally yoked. They would understand
and love one another and build their futures on an
equal footing with a mutual goal. That pleased Sam
and Alewka Henry.

Eloise, sitting there on the beach, was
pleased as well. She knew what feelings Tim and
Sharon were going through for it had not been that
long ago when she and Mazunta had to run that
gauntlet of controlling their desires. She smiled
deep within herself, pleased that she and Maz had
waited for their wedding night before exploiting
their sexual desires. It meant a difference in
their life together.

As she looked and studied upon it she found
that since she and Maz had exercised that control
it gave them both a clear conscience. It meant
they were strong and could hold their own because
of that strength. It meant they qualified for the
leadership role which they held in the village.
Their own confidence and self respect that was
forged in part by their self control of their
sexual desires during courtship gave them a power.
That was picked up by perception amongst the
villagers and they revered that in the couple.

Eloise well knew Tim and Sharon would enjoy
the same benefits for the same reason. She closed
her eyes and sent that message to Sharon by
thought alone. Opening her eyes she saw Sharon
looking at her with a knowing smile. The words
came back "Thanks".

The day was spent visiting. The sun was warm,
the sky was clear and sitting there on the beach
was as close to heaven in earth as one could get.

The kids were always enjoying their game of
ball. When one got tired or had to leave for any
reason they simply left the game. The game would
continue without them and when they came back they
would simply join up with the game again.

Only once did the group see other people from
somewhere other than the village. There was a
group of three canoes that were paddling down
river. It was a trading party from up river. The
entire village knew what was ahead for this group.
It would take a week to get to the trading town, a
day or two there and two to three weeks for them
to paddle this far back up river, and probably
another week for them to reach home again.

Everybody on the beach waved at the flotilla.
They waved back and for a brief moment of time
they were joined in well wishes.

Nearing supper Eloise suggested they retreat
to the hut where they would prepare supper, an
idea that was shared and accepted by all.

They rose and began to slowly walk toward
home, meeting folks along the way. They would stop
and chat as they did. Each time folks they would
be speaking with would look at Tim and Sharon with
a knowing glint in their eye. It amused the
couple.

Eventually they made it home. It took some
time because they had to pass David and Pam
Wiley's hut and both David and Pam wanted to
visit. They wanted to catch up a little on life in
Pinehill. This was the first time Sharon had met
the couple and was a little surprised. She had not
known they were here and were formerly Pinehill
people. Sharon's world was expanding by the
second. She learned there were many things in
life she had not realized.

Finally they were at the hut. They all sat
around the fire circle, camp fire style and
carried on the conversation they were having as
they arrived.

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!

"Treat your body like a temple, not a woodshed. The mind
and body work together. Your body needs to be a good
support system for the mind and spirit. If you take good
care of it, your body can take you wherever you want to go,
with the power and strength and energy and vitality you
will need to get there."

HA! HA! HA!

Two avid fishermen go on a fishing trip. They rent all the
equipment: the reels, the rods, the wading suits, the
rowboat, the car, and even a cabin in the woods. They
spend a fortune.

The first day they go fishing, but they don't catch
anything. The same thing happens on the second day,
and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on
the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches
a fish.

As they're driving home they're really depressed. One
guy turns to the other and says, "Do you realize that
this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred
dollars?"

The other guy says, "Wow! It's a good thing we
didn't catch any more!"
