Grit Can Earn More Pay Than Bright!

There once was a chicken farmer who lived in a small
village in China. One year, all of his chickens were afflicted
with a strange blight that caused them to lose their feathers.
The farmer was deeply concerned about this, because
winter was coming, and, if the chickens had no feathers,
they would freeze to death. So, the farmer decided to
consult the two wisest men in the land.
First, he visited Mr. Ching, the renowned scholar.
Mr. Ching leafed through all his agricultural and medicinal
texts and poured over books and scrolls well into the night.
Finally, he returned to the farmer and told him that if he
crushed the leaves of a gum tree into powder, made
it into tea, and fed it to his chickens, they would be cured.
The farmer then went to Mr. Ming, the great seer. Mr. Ming
cast stones, read tea leaves, and poked through entrails
until finally he came up with the answer: "Tea made from
gum leaves will cause feathers to stick to chicken."
Now the farmer was ecstatic. The two wisest men in the
land had given him exactly the same prescription, so, as
soon as he returned home, he took some gum leaves
and made tea from them. He mixed this with the chicken
feed and fed it to his chickens.
But it didn't work. The chickens continued to lose their
feathers, and, with the onset of winter, they all froze. The
moral of this story:
"All of Ching's courses and all of Ming's ken, couldn't get
gum tea to feather a hen!"
It figures. I like these jokes. They often have a "truth"
behind them not always obvious to the first glance.
In my lifetime I have met two terrific salesmen. These
men are fabulous men who succeed in places I can
only dream of succeeding.
One of them was a lad right off the farm. He had no
experience with sales, no experience with the city, and,
as far as I know, no experience dealing with the
"sophisticated" ways of city slickers.
But, he had experience with the land. He knew that you
planted regardless of whether the forecast was for a good
year or not. He knew you had to tend to your stock even
if it was forty degrees below zero. He knew you had to go
places and do things you would rather not, in weather that
was against you, and when it would be nice to be sitting
in front of the television in a nice warm house.
He applied those traits to his sales work. He simply knew
the the word "no" was not the answer he wanted to his
question. So he kept on going where lesser men quite. He
didn't hear "no".
Where "city men" knew that "no" meant "no" he did not. He
knew what his objective was and regardless of weather or
other circumstances he would reach it. He was not
obnoxious, he was friendly, likable, fun to be with, good
natured. He just never quite on himself, on his clients, on
his objectives.
You see, he was not yet "educated" in the ways of the city.
He was not "educated" in the ways of university men. He
was not "educated" in the game of one-upsmanship. He took
on life as life was offered. He had long ago learned on the
farm as a lad, that only when you give up does everything
cave in on you, only when you quit does the cash get low,
only when you stop does the other person become the
better salesperson.
He had no education, yet he earned much more than those
with education earned. He did not dress up in fancy suits,
drive splashy cars, nor associate with the "upper crust", yet
he earned more money than all of them. He just worked where
others would not. He just kept going where others would quit.
He just never stopped until he reached his objective.

ATTACHMENT!
Some computer users are getting messages with
attachments purporting to be virus updates. They're
not. They carry a Trojan horse, which installs the virus
Backdoor.Death.25. That virus allows the intruder to
seize control of your computer. The messages purport
to be from Microsoft. They claim the update is for
Kaspersky Anti-virus software. Neither Kaspersky
nor any other Anti-virus firm sends updates via
e-mail.
It is a good practice not to open any attachment. Even
double check those friends send you. They could be
infected.

Can you see how it all goes back to understanding your consent
and what could be planned for you? If your consent says someone
is going to look at your kidney (which one) and remove the
stone(s) it doesn't give the medical team the right to remove
your kidney. But would you know the difference? Probably, if you
had a really good in-depth understanding explanation. So insist
on the explanation and study some medical pictures. But it's
still your body: your decision. Your signature will be on that
consent form. You have to sign it and date it, and it has to be
witnessed. And it has to show that the doctor gave you clear
explanations of the procedure. But it is your responsibility to
understand what is being said. So use all the tools at your
disposal: dictionary, questions, medical atlas.
If you are now going through some sort of procedure and are
faced with something similar, I want to remind you that you went
to your doctor to get help for something that is causing you
grief. You want that fixed. So make sure you know what is going
to get fixed and not be faced with still another problem. This
is a partnership. Your responsibility is just as important as
your health care team's responsibility. So do your part. The
consent will show theirs.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

The three of them met a hundred or more others who
had been called. The plan soon became clear. The
disease was spreading so rapidly it would take work to
bring it under control.
They decided that the best thing would be to prevent
it's spread by forming a large circle thirty miles radius
from the center of the area infected. spreading out
around this circle they realized they would have
to call more help.
Soon there were thousands that formed the circle. It
completely surrounded the infected area, and there
were no diseased animals behind them.
Slowly they began to move toward the center. Whenever
they encountered an animal of any kind they "cleansed"
it. But their real work was in broadcasting waves of
healing energy in front of them toward the center of the
circle. All remained in the invisible and moved slowly,
methodically above the treetops.
The process was taking hours, but everything in their
path had to be "cleansed".
As they moved toward the center they were each getting
closer to one another. Their progress was at the
approximate rate of three miles an hour, (about 4.8 kms
per hour) As the time passed, there was, behind them, a
chorus of joy sent up by all the birds and animals. The
jungle became a veritable garden of beauty.
Some of the workers were entirely in the plains. As they
passed over with their cleansing, the plains turned green
and lush behind them. Anything they passed over became
new and beautiful. The people, the animals, the birds,
the insects, all became more animated and happy. The
workers left a joy behind them.
Five hours had passed, and while the disease was
spreading within the circle the circumference was getting
smaller. Another four hours and the workers were
shoulder to shoulder. Nothing behind them suffered
the disease.
Now they were in a position to "cleanse" the core of
the circle.
Shoulder to shoulder they sent out the vibrations of
"purity". Every cell of every structure, animate or inanimate,
yielded to the force. They began sending it to the area at
their feet and slowly lifted the energies until they were
moving toward the center of the circle. Then it was done.
Being finished, the group was disbanded for their assorted
homes. A few, namely Riata, Oomano and Romano were
left to secure the outbreak of the disease. They floated over
the area for another two hours scouring out anything that
might have escaped their loving energies. They found
nothing that they had missed.
Where hysteria had run rampant, there was peace. Where
there was fear, love now prevailed. Where there was death,
life now thrived. Where the grasses were dirty brown, they
were now green. Where there had been no flowers the
place was now a garden spot.
The entire area that was infected was now clean and free
from all disease and malady. Those who were lame,
walked. Those who were blind, now saw. Those who
were deaf could now hear.
The cleansing had renewed the area as if life itself had
started over. The total death toll from the outbreak was six.
All others were made whole. All the hospitals were now
without patients. People walked the streets as if there had
been nothing interrupt their lives earlier.
The people talked and amazed. It had been a very long
time since this area was as green and beautiful as this.
Many did not understand what had happened, being
ignorant of the rabies that was threatening the area. They
accepted the result, nonetheless.
Fruit trees that bore scanty fruit, were now abundant
with fruit. Gardens that gave little were now abundant
with vegetables. Clothing that was dirty, worn, torn and
too well used was made whole. Nothing had escaped
the broadcast of love from the workers.
Wells that were running dry were now flowing over. All
was touched.
Riata, Oomano and Romano made one more sweep of
the area. It was beautiful. The disease had been
eliminated and life was not only back to normal, but the
work of the Masters had left abundance, good health and
love behind. This would last the people of the area for
centuries to come.
