Our job here in this column is to bring you information
about what is happening around the net. Our thoughts
are that for those in internet marketing it will bring useful
data that will cause you to market to your target
audiences better. And for those who are not in
marketing, then the points are, we hope, nonetheless
interesting.
* Seniors remain a significant minority on the net. While
their numbers are the fastest growing among net users,
they remain among the smaller of the age groups using
the net. That condition will remain. Yet this is an important
market to consider. The seniors have time and
usually money.
* TravelCLICK finds online hotel bookings to hotels'
central reservation offices climbed by 34% in 2003
over 2002, with 66% of all online bookings for the year
coming from the actual hotel chains' Web sites.
* Monster's Employment Index, following online job
listings on over 1,500 Web sites in the US, has been
steadily rising since the turn of the new year – from a
score of 102 in January to a score of 109 last month.
* In 2001, Yahoo! claimed the largest share of search
engine referrals in the US, reports WebSideStory. In
2004 there's a new sheriff in town -- Google achieved
nearly 41% of US search referrals on 23 March.
* A continuing onslaught of spam could mean big
business for vendors and outsourcers in the business of
blocking it. Radicati projects anti-spam solutions
revenues will surpass $1.74 billion by 2008.
I draw all sorts of conclusions from the info above. One
thing is for sure - the use of the internet in our daily lives
is increasing to the point where it would be folly for any
business to overlook it as part of their marketing strategy.

Your Immune System: How It Serves You
And Why You Need To Keep It Healthy
PART 1 of 4
The Immune System is a series of protective mechanisms
created in your body. It keeps internal
(pathogens/disease-causing) and external
(foreign bodies) invaders from affecting your everyday
life. (These invaders are called "free radicals".)
It is made up of a variety of defense mechanisms
including antibodies (via the Inflammatory Process)
which have very specific functions. We don't often think
in terms of these, but the skin and digestive tract (mucous
membranes, saliva, stomach juices), spleen etc., play
very important roles.)
A healthy Immune System has an abundant amount
of anti-oxidants (along with other elements.) These are
received through a well balanced, complete,
nutrient-rich diet.
Here is a very simplistic example and explanation of
the "inflammatory process". You step on a nail.
Immediately the body recognizes this as an abnormal
"invasion" and sends out the inflammatory process to
neutralize the invader. In this case, it would be an
increase of fluid, including large amounts of white
blood cells. This fluid will remain there until the
healing is complete or until some other process
(antibiotics) takes over. This volume causes its own
problems as the pressure causes pain and warmth.
And when this process is also active in places like
the ear, brain, or eye, because of limited space, it
will cause additional problems.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

"Let's stop in and see Missy and Mazunta, on our way
home." said Oomano, always thinking ahead.
They arrived at some time around ten in the evening. The
village was at the fire.
As was the way in the village, the moment the newcomers
had arrived and come to the fire circle, they were
presented with food and beverage. All three were
hungry, having worked all day on the rabies epidemic.
They finished their meal, thanked their hosts, and sat
back to enjoy the fire for a while. It was already too late to
say goodnight to the kids back home. Abetta would have
them all in bed and asleep by now.
Eloise left her chair for a minute and sat with the girls and
Romano, Mazunta joined her shortly after. It was nice to
get together with friends again.
"Missy, we stopped by, from a task we were called to, so
we could confirm that we could use your honeymoon
hut for our honeymoon." said Oomano.
"By all means. We were over there the other day and
made sure everything was fixed up and ready. I think you
will enjoy it there. We sure did." answered Eloise.
Mazunta and Romano got to talking. "Not even a month
left now and you are going to tie a knot with your mouth
you won't undo with your teeth, man." said Mazunta,
teasing.
"Yeah! I know. But I love this woman. I have never felt like
this before, Maz. I have had many women, in my younger
years as part of the gang, before you found me, but I have
never found anyone but Oomano with whom I really felt I
want to spend all my time with. She has my heart all tied
up in a knot, just for her." Romano came back, "You know
how that is! Look at you and Missy!"
"Yes, you're right. It is wonderful. We are very happy
together. And now we have AliAnn, life has become much
more precious. I am very thankful." answered Mazunta.
"How is she? She is how old now?" asked Romano.
"She is nearly six months old and she's fine. She is
beginning to move around on the grasses and dirt now.
We have to clean her up every night. She still sleeps in
the afternoon. She sure has captured her Daddy's heart."
Mazunta replied.
"I'll bet. Oomano wants to have children of her own, too.
I don't know exactly how that is going to work. She has
all those kids Miguele keeps bringing home." laughed
Romano.
"Riata, how are you these days? I haven't spoken to you
in a very long while." said Mazunta.
"I'm fine Maz. I'm keeping busy helping out my sister with
all the kids at home. Daddy keeps bringing home kids.
We seem to be running our own little
orphanage." said Riata.
"Speaking of orphanages, how is yours coming along?"
asked Mazunta.
"Fine, Maz. Two of the kids have committed to higher
law and I have been working with them. They are
progressing fast, and they are working with the rest of the
kids. I am very pleased with what I see." said Riata.
"That's good. I like those kids. You did quite a job there.
Good work!" said Mazunta.
"Oh! I have some news for you!" said Oomano, "Sien
dropped by and he is going to perform the marriage
ceremony. I'm thrilled."
"Wonderful!" said Eloise, "That's wonderful Oomano,
I'm happy for you. Sien will do his best to make this a
memorable day for you. I am looking forward to the day.
How many now?" Eloise asked with a glint in her eye.
"Twenty eight!" came the answer.
"Are you guys going to spend the night with
us?" asked Eloise.
"I don't think so. I think we'll stay until the fire is over
and then go home." answered Riata.
"Good! Then let's chat after the fire. Mazunta and I,
when we are here, are sort of expected to be in our
chairs. It is symbolic, but important." said Eloise, as she
rose to return to her chair.
Mazunta was close behind and the fire continued
as before.
