So You Think Others Don't Know!

While working as a television news cameraman, I arrived
at an accident scene, and a cameraman from another
station pulled up behind me. As I parked the news cruiser,
I heard a policeman on the scanner using the radio
phonetic alphabet to alert other officers. "Be aware that
the Mike Echo Delta India Alpha has arrived," he said.
I approached the officer, looked him in the eye and said,
"You might be surprised to know that some of us in the
Mike Echo Delta India Alpha can
Sierra Papa Echo Lima Lima."
Every time we think we can communicate in a language
others do not understand we then feel we can use that
language to say things we do not want others to know.
It's the same old game we play with young children,
when we spell out c-o-o-k-i-e-s, instead of saying the
word, or we do it with a pet who has come to
understand the word t-r-e-a-t.
Unfortunately it is also done by those who speak more
than one language. I remember while in India, I was
once asked out to a supper at the home of a friend.
While there I knew they were speaking of me, behind
my back, so to speak. Little did they know that while I
did not speak Hindi, I did understand their facial
gestures and hand gestures, the tones of their voices
and the volume of their voices.
I did not have to understand the words to know what
they were speaking about. I then suggested to them
that if they really chose to speak about me they might
do that in English, so that I might contribute. It took
them by complete surprise.
Too often we get ourselves caught up in that kind of a
trap, when we begin to play games because we think
we know something others do not.
Don't play that game. It is like gossip, deadly at best,
and at worst, can hurt a lot of people in the process.
I live my life on the basis that I get involved in nothing
others cannot know about. That way I don't have
anything to hide and leaves a lot of room and time
for me to complete more important things. Try
it. None of us has any real secrets, except, maybe,
those things we know full well we should not be doing.
Life comes easy to the straight shooter. Hard to the
one with secrets. Your choice.

Scaling an Image
Word 2000
To scale an image in your Word document, you must first select
it. When you click on an image, Word selects the image and
displays sizing handles. To scale a graphic with the mouse, you
drag one of the handles until the image reaches the desired size.
Dragging a handle on either center side resizes the width of the
image; the top or bottom center side resizes the height of the
image. Dragging any of the corner handles resizes both the width
and height of the image.
To scale the image with the keyboard, select the image and choose
Format, Picture to open the Format Picture dialog box where you
can enter specific numeric values for the height and width of the
image.

April Is Cancer Awareness Month
PART 2 of 4
Each of our lives IS our private life. It is not your spouse's
or your child's' or your parent's. It is yours and you have to
live it, manage it and acknowledge that this is the real you.
Those feelings of fear or joy are yours: not someone else's.
This also means that you walk in your own shoes: along your
path. You actually have to do the walking (living). No one can
do it for you. And that's hard to realise and then to accept. So
it's vital that you create some sort of boundaries of things you
will allow into your "experience" and those you will not accept.
It also means you can CHOOSE things for your own good.
My purpose here is to acknowledge that the walk of anyone with a
degenerative condition.be it lupus, arthritis, or cancer, is the
immediate problem or crisis. However, it's still very possible
to have the end in mind and to stick to your long term goal.
First, there is the choice between a positive and a negative
outlook. And it is a CHOICE. Be encouraged that there is
tremendous hope for any such degenerative condition, especially
cancer, with new treatments. But I caution you that you will
have to work very hard to be positive rather than have to accept
all the negativity around you. It's almost like building a
protective wall and saying NO to things that others want you to
hear. People will delight in sharing all sorts of unpleasant
experiences just when you need to be propped up with big doses
of hope, energy, love, and massive amounts of determination
mixed with focus. (Please feel free to frame Dr. Waitley's

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"I guess that is what I've been missing. I was confronted
by a person I have known from the past. I wasn't very
pleased with my performance back then and I was even
less pleased by what she did. I noticed that all these
years I must have been carrying hard feelings toward her,
because there they were, right up front, when I saw her.
Then my day didn't go well." said Sandra.
"That's exactly right, Sandra. You must now forgive
yourself for having such thoughts, and then learn to look
at that person only as a person NOW, having no past with
which you must contend. She undoubtedly has gone
through much in the intervening years, and, like you, is
no longer the person who did what she did. Today, you
can feel sorry for her if she has not learned to live by higher
law, for certainly it is completely outside her ability to do
you any harm. And if she did you can correct it immediately.
You have no need to have any feelings for her other
than love." responded Riata.
"Sadhu says that, too. But I took it from him as a teacher,
where I take it from you as a friend and mentor. Please
visit me more often. I am learning and want to learn, but
there is much." Sandra stated.
"You bet there is, but, like typing, the more you concentrate,
the sooner it comes and the more accurate you are. You
are doing just fine. I am pleased." assured Riata.
"I had a call the other day. I was impressed on the inside
to go help out with a rabies epidemic happening in India.
I did not go because I did not understand fully what was
happening. Can you tell me?" asked Sandra.
"I was there, Sandra, as was my sister Oomano and her
fiance Romano. The disease came out of the jungle and
was spreading to domestic animals in a city. It took
hundreds of us to bring it under control. I know you have
not had guidance from me on these things, but if you had
followed you would have been of much help. How would
it be if I come get you the next time I get a call, and we can
go together. That way you will know what happens at
these things, and you will meet many more who live by
higher law. We are on the increase you know." said Riata.
"Oh! Riata! It would be so wonderful if the whole world
could live by higher law. It is so great to be free of
bondage." said Sandra.
"The whole world can, Sandra. It is just that they have
chosen not to live this way." was Riata's reply.
"But the whole world does not know about higher
law!"exclaimed Sandra.
"Ahh! But they do. Every child as they grow through life
is given a glimpse. They can see and make choices.
Some make those choices and as they grow, need only a
kind word from someone who lives by higher law, to make
it happen. That is what happened to Oomano and I. It is
also what happened to Sonora, over in Africa, whom you
will meet shortly. It happened to you. All have the choice
if they would but listen." Riata was on a roll.
"What do you mean I will meet shortly?" asked Sandra.
"That's one of the reasons I came to see you today.
Romano's and Oomano's wedding is coming up in less
than a month. They wanted me to invite you. You will
meet a lot of people who live by higher law. Please
come." said Riata.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world. Do I bring a
gift?" asked Sandra.
"Yes, yourself. Living by higher law, they need nothing.
But they will most certainly be happy you came. I will
give them the news upon my return home, today. Do
you have any more questions for me at this
moment?" asked Riata.
"I don't think so." was the answer.
"Good, let's take a walk. This is beautiful country. A touch
cool all the time, but the air is so pristine. I love it." said
Riata as they walked.
"Oh! By the way. The wedding? Be prepared to stay for
about three, maybe four days. You will be very impressed
at those who attend. It will be a wonderful time." Riata was
catching up on her thoughts.
"Do you travel all over the world all the time?" asked Sandra.
"What do you mean?" came Riata's question.
"Well, you just said you were in India to help with that
rabies epidemic. Then I know you are here with me now,
and you also just spoke of Sonora in Africa. It seems to
me you have been around." Sandra observed.
"It looks that way doesn't it. Actually I did not visit Sonora
lately, though Oomano has. However I go where there is
trouble with which I can help. You will too. You'll see. I'll
come by the next time I'm called and you will see what
happens." answered Riata.
