in recognition of the friendship established between
the two nations during the American Revolution. (So
remember THAT the next time someone beats up on
France.) The Americans were in charge of building the
pedestal, however. To transport the statue here, the
French reduced the 300-foot-tall statue to 350 individual
pieces packed in 214 crates and sent her over on the
frigate "Isere." It took four months to reassemble her
here.

Oprah Drives Web Traffic

Oprah Winfrey's power appears to be limitless.
Besides having the ability to essentially dictate the
top spot on the New York Times Bestseller list and
launch the superstar career of a certain folksy shrink,
Oprah now has influence in cyberspace--specifically
over Web traffic.
A new report from Hitwise demonstrates Oprah's
influence on the "Health & Medical Wellbeing
category," which encompasses 274 diet- and
health-related sites analyzed by the online
competitive intelligence company.
Following fitness guru Bob Greene's March 29
appearance on Oprah, and prominent promotion
within the Mind and Body section of the talk show
host's Web site, traffic to Greene's site--
www.getwiththeprogram.org--skyrocketed during
the week ending April 3. The site went from a
ranking of 135 to number 7 in Hitwise's Health &
Medical Wellbeing Category. More than 30 percent
of the site's traffic came via a link from www.oprah.com.
"That is one of the biggest jumps we've seen," said
Bill Tancer, vice president of research for Hitwise,
which has been tracking Web site usage in the
United States for about a year. "The biggest jump
we have ever seen from a 'TV promotion' was, of
course, the 'wardrobe malfunction' during the
Super Bowl."
The Greene site also made a huge leap in market
share within the category, increasing by an
astronomical 1,127 percent. It jumped from a paltry .
14 percent on March 27 to 1.92 percent on April 3.

If my thinking is correct Oprah will be doing very well
with her site. Her empire appears to be building by leaps
and bounds and she clearly seems to have the Midas
touch. Good for her. Let's hope she makes no silly
mistakes that end up causing her grief and trouble.

"Hi Karin,
My name is Sam and last October I was diagnosed
with Prostate Cancer. After learning that 4 out of 7
biopsies were in the 4-5 range,"
In order to determine a correct diagnosis and to
make a helpful decision, several tests must be
performed. These are usually done in a specialist's
office, (depending on the their preference and
available equipment).
1) Digital Rectal Exam DRE: feeling the size and
prostate gland via the rectum.
2) Prostrate Specific Antigen PSA: a blood test that
determines the level of risk for cancer.
3) Needle Biopsy or ultrasound biopsy. Cancer
tissue has a different density than normal prostate
tissue. Ultrasound and lab testing will be able to
distinguish the difference. (For an excellent description

Sam's choices were:
1) Watch and wait to check the progress of the growth.
This would depend on several factors, including age,
health, and other issues.
2) External Beam Radiation (EBRT)
3) Internal Radiation
4) Combination of several modalities

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

"That's right. If we draw a circle larger than the area in
which they feel they can blame us and if, within that circle
there is never any crime or act committed by any person
against another that will harm or hurt them, then the police,
the city, the fire department will have no reason to come
in here and close us down. That's a good idea." said Reno.
"That's right!" said Amenti, "Let's do it."
"Think on this first. We want to prevent theft, killing,
kidnapping, all manner of crime. We want to prevent fire
from any source or reason. We want to prevent floods
from any source, riots for any reason and any other malady
that might cause city officials to think we should be closed
down. In other words we want the perfect area, where only
love prevails, for where love prevails, no evil will gain a
foothold. Is that right?" asked Riata.
This conversation was taking place in front of all the kids
for their learning benefit.
"That's right. So if we broadcast love and set it up so only
love prevailed within that area no misdeeds will
occur." said Amenti.
"Okay Amenti, you take the area from this line south, and
Reno you take the area from this line north, draw lines
within which you want love to prevail and broadcast that
to stay forever." said Riata, holding out her arms as a
demarkation line.
"I will rise above all and watch, just to fill in any gaps you
might miss." said Riata.
With that the three of them disappeared upward.
Amenti drew his line wider than the half circle area he
was given. As far as he was concerned there would be
no way the city government would find within "his" area, a
reason to cause trouble. He hovered above the area and
drew distinct lines and within them, after concentrating,
he broadcast love unto every nook and cranny. The entire
area was saturated with love. Then he caused it to stay,
permanently.
His counterpart, Reno, had pretty much the same
determination and conviction and did much the same in
"her" half circle. She hovered over her area, unseen, and
thoroughly ensured love prevailed everywhere.
For her part, Riata broadcast love over the whole circle.
When they were done they returned to the orphanage.
There was a stir there.
It seems that as they were doing their work, the love that
was sent unto all created a mellow and loving feeling
within the breast of every citizen in the area. There was
greater and better communication among those standing
in line at the shrine. Several merchants were outside their
doors speaking with those standing in line. There was a
distinct feeling of love in the air.
The broadcasting of love caused the "healings" at the
shrine to occur faster, and, so, the line moved a little faster.
The people noticed they felt terrific long before they
approached the shrine and long after.
Additionally, the trees and plants grew green, flowers
sprouted, birds sang, animals no longer attacked each
other within the area.
Within two weeks the area's reputation had spread far
and wide and folks from all around came into it to do their
business. They all felt better the moment they stepped
within the circle. The merchants did amazingly well and
for everyone it was a wonderful experience. Most folks
within the city came there as often as they could.
City officials came too. And as they entered the circle
their minds were changed to one of "love thy neighbor".
By the time they arrived at the orphanage they had long
forgotten why they had come.
The area became known affectionately as "the Garden
of Eden". It rapidly became a tourist attraction. The entire
city benefited from its creation.
The kids at the orphanage heard no more from that day
about any "special" or "revenue sharing tax".
It became a solid lesson for the kids at the orphanage,
too. They all learned, again, that using love as a weapon
all evil was diffused or diminished. They learned that love
hurt no one, but embraced and built up those who came
under its influence. It showed them, once more, that love
among them made them strong, and that together, using
love as their weapon, they could withstand anything.
It promoted, within the kids at the orphanage, an increased
yearning to learn higher law. Amenti and Reno found they
were very busy teaching, and many of the kids were now
close to total commitment.
