PUT IT IN WRITING!

Ever been asked to 'Put it in Writing.'? Sure, you have. Did
you immediately go to your desk and effortlessly record your
thoughts and suggestions? Or, perhaps, you struggled and
anguished? For most folks, producing useful, credible and
appropriate written communication requires careful thought.
Those folks are wise. Written communication is an excellent
opportunity to showcase your communication skills. Writing
something down not only clarifies an issue, it tends to gives
the idea longevity, and, sometimes, a life of its own. Write
carefully!
Written communication can be a double-edged sword, can't it?
Well done, it can positively influence your career. Poorly,
quickly or thoughtlessly done, it can work against you
repeatedly. In a way, it IS written in stone. There it sits
for everyone to see...and revisit.
Caution: Avoid putting negative information in writing!
Absolutely do not put negative information in writing unless
it is accurately supported by verifiable fact.
If you want or need to convey your opinion or perception, do
so orally. Say it, rather than write it. Things have a
tendency to be scrutinized much more closely when they are in
writing. Folks look for inaccuracies and 'fodder for blame' in
written communication. Written words scribed in the heat of
the moment can sit in someone's files and become inadvertent
weapons for years to come. A negative written communication
can become a time bomb just waiting for the wrong person to
detonate it. In 'Getting Promoted', Harry E. Chambers says:
"Enemies created in writing tend to have long life spans." Be
careful.
There are a few basic guidelines to keep in mind before you
put pen to paper or allow your fingers to touch those keys.
Sure, the important thing is the message itself, however, how
that message is conveyed is a message in itself! Grammar
counts. Poor grammar detracts from the message. You do not
want anything to get in the way of your important message, do
you? Your computer may be a help as it suggests grammatical
changes, but, it is not infallible. You need the skills to
catch errors. You know that your spell checker is limited
otherwise it would not have left this poem intact:
Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea.
It plainly marcs four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin Knot Sea.
Eye strikes a key
And type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.

Make your writing concise. No one has the time or desire to
read a novel about your topic. "Just the facts, Ma'am." That's
what's needed. Quality, not quantity, is best. Winston
Churchill is reported to have said to an aide placing a
three-inch-high report on his desk, "That report, by its very
size, demands that it will never be read." Be sure to read
what you write before you send it. No one needs an exercise in
endurance to capture your point.
Take every opportunity to put positive information in writing.
Thank and congratulate folks. Report on all successes, major
and minor. Recommend solutions. Provide updates. When you've
got something good to say, Harry Chambers says: "Insure
accuracy, provide proof when available or necessary, and
distribute the communication as widely as possible." Being the
author of good news can put your name in a positive light when
promotion time arrives, too! This has got to be good!
Write as you speak and speak thoughtfully. This is the best
guideline for written communication at work.

When you double click on an icon,
you are "executing" that icon's program. And the word
'execute' means "to start up".
You'll notice that certain downloads have three letters after
them... "exe." That's short for "executable" and means the file
will do something when you double click on it. So you see, you
must execute a file to bring it to life.
Executable files are very common, and very scary to some.
They think that an exe file will contain a virus. And it could.

A Few Other Points:
Personality Changes With Toxic Problems
The excretion of body waste products is a normal and
necessary function. Waste products, liquid or solid,
have to come out of the body and it's done through
an automatic process. So if anything in its path is not f
unctioning properly, unusual things occur. These may
take to form of toxins and they may have a peculiar
effect on the person. I recall visiting an elderly gentleman
who I thought was rather crotchety and unpleasant
especially to his wife. I went back several days later to
do a post op visit and teaching, and found a totally
different human being in the same bed. He was a new
man! The toxins were removed from his body and he
was back to the loving person his wife assured
me he was!
Preventative and management measures:
Get into the habit of eating high fiber foods (to pull
through all the toxins), and drinking large amounts of
fluids (especially water). Also seriously consider taking
supplements that offer optimum nutrition. Our foods do
not have a lot of nutrient values any longer and we also
are exposed to many environmental toxins (free radicals).
Do discuss the use of Saw Palmetto with your health
care provider. Saw Palmetto acts on the prostate to
reduce the inflammation/swelling pain and throbbing.
It also increases the bladder's ability to contact and
eliminate the contents into the urethra.
Stress is one of the most aggravating factors and we
are only now beginning to see the effects of it on many
health conditions. The physiological results of it are
harmful over a long period of time. You should make
a CONSCIOUS effort to find and use stress-reducing
techniques. Stress, in many forms, surrounds each of
us every day. It requires a decision as to how we will
ALLOW it to rule our lives.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

Right in the middle of the kids game of soccer stood
a group of people.
The kids stopped the game until everyone became
oriented.
The Strikers had brought Jim and Hilda White with them
and the Henrys had brought Sue Miles with them. In all
there were seven adults standing right in the middle of
the soccer match.
Oomano and Romano spotted them immediately and
ran out to meet them all. There were hugs and kisses
all around, except, of course, for those men who "knew"
men didn't do such things.
Oomano introduced the guests to the kids and then the
group moved off the field, and under the canopy where
folks sat to keep in the shade.
It was ten in the morning, the sun was high in the sky and
showering down much heat. All around folks were up and
at their daily chores.
Riata, Abetta, Miguele, Kenyata, Mombudo and Sonora
all came running out of the house the moment they spotted
the new arrivals.
There was much hugging and kissing. This was a very
close group of friends who had not seen one another for
a long while.
The shade provided by the roof over the stone patio, was
insufficient. There were too many people to sit under the
canopy.
Romano went to work immediately and manifested more
flooring, more roof and more chairs. The expanded structure
would be shrunk back to normal size following the wedding
event. But for now it was expanded to accommodate all
the guests that were expected.
Romano was thankful for living by higher law. The one
thing they had not thought about while planning the
wedding, was the need to have this outdoor patio made
larger to handle the crowds that would be using it.
Riata and Oomano set up a table at the rear of the patio
and upon it they placed jugs of water and other beverages,
plus plastic glasses, cutlery and napkins.
Soon Abetta broke from the group and went inside. She
returned with her arms full of plates of food, which she
set down on the table.
Folks could go get food and drink when they wanted. But
for now they were all so engrossed in being with one
another they never even thought about such things. Abetta
and the girls rejoined the group and participated as if
they were guests.
For each of them it was as if heaven had opened up and
spread grace upon them. The love, the kindness, the fond
emotional feelings enjoyed by all toward each other was
captivating. None wanted to leave. It brought back memories
of a wedding long ago in the village upstream from here.
The love was compelling. It called for reciprocation and
all participated.
It was not often folks felt like this. Whether it was that all
were away from their daily environment, their chores, or
just because of the genuine love they felt for each other, it
didn't matter. This was already an event at which they all
took photographs with their hearts.
The conversation continued unabated for hours and hours.
The group from time to time would move to the table for eats
and drinks, and then back again to their chairs. They were
completely oblivious to anything else around them.
Within this group were eight who lived by higher law. Much
of their communication, between them, was the silent kind
that appeared as thoughts within the recipients head. As
a group they had not been together for a long while, and
not ever since Ben Striker had committed to living by higher
law. At the present moment Ben was the newest of the
masters. He was made welcome among them, and he was
so very thankful he had committed he was overwhelmed
with love.
If you and I had been hovering over this land this day we
would have seen a brilliant glow coming from Abetta's and
Miguele's yard. The love broadcast from there this day
was overpowering and spread far and wide. Even the
neighborhood felt the wonderful influence.
