TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------

Is it true the snakehead can walk on land?

Why are they called "snakeheads"?

--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------

Why did 600 Nigerian women recently threaten to take their
clothes off?

Last month about 600 Nigerian women, ranging in
age from 30 to 90, threatened to disrobe as part of their
protest for jobs, electricity, and development in the
oil-rich Niger Delta. Most Nigerian tribes consider unwanted
displays of nudity by female family members (wives, mothers,
and even grandmothers participated in the protest) to be a
particularly powerful shaming gesture.

What are snakeheads and why are they causing such a stir in
Maryland?

Snakeheads are scary fish (at least to all OTHER fish). In
Crofton, Maryland, state officials are trying to deal with
two northern snakeheads that were dumped in a pond after a
fish hobbyist grew tired of them. The problem: snakeheads
are deadly to other pond life. Native to China, the northern
snakehead devours almost everything it comes across. And
female snakeheads can produce thousands of offspring pretty
quickly. Already, 99 baby snakeheads have been caught in the
pond.

Here's To Think On . . . with Ken Darby
-----------------

Fussy Are We?

A picky customer comes to a small food shop and sees
a new delivery of fresh fruit. "Give me two kilograms
of oranges and wrap every orange up in a separate piece
of paper, please," he says to the saleswoman.

She does.

"And three kilograms of cherries, please, and wrap up
every one in a separate piece of paper, too."

She does.

"And what is that there," he asks pointing out a bushel
in the corner.

"Raisins," says the saleswoman, "but they are not for
sale!"

Are you ever this fussy over things? If so, ever ask why?

There are those who let petty things bother them so
much they cannot see or enjoy life. Are you one of
those?

Take a look around you. Look at the life bubbling up in
your family. Look at the life pushing forth in your gardens,
in the trees, in the world around you. Get to know that
life. It it far more important than the fussy little things
you worry about.

If you want to get emotional about anything, something,
get wrapped up in life itself, that force within you that
motivates you and makes you breath, see, feel, think.
Get to love that energy, that force. Get to see it in all things
for nothing is without it.

That life that beats within your breast calls out for you
to express yourself in good, creative and healthy ways.
It is not there to require your worry over things that are
unimportant. Think on that. If your biggest worry is what
color are you going to paint the bedroom, then you are
missing out on many treasures. Life for all can be so rich
and fulfilling that petty things no longer exist. It is up to
you to make the choice. Go for it ...

Fussy Are We?

Anxiety, fear, stress are all symptoms of one who is not in
communication with their Maker inside. Some fear punishment from
a fictitious person sitting on some fictitious throne who is
looking down upon you just waiting for you to do wrong. Your
Maker lives within your own breast and the sooner you have a
communication with your Maker the sooner peace, rest, prosperity
become the symptoms you display.

Bones: Don’t Take Your Support
System For Granted
PART 1 of 9

Lately I have been getting some interesting questions
and comments about bones. It is easy to see how bones
can be misused if you don’t really understand their
purpose. The idea seems to be that no matter how you
live, your bones, at least, will always be there to
“support” you. I don’t agree. Bones are like any other
living cells: they have their own functions to perform,
plus specific or specialized tasks. It helps to see
yourself as one gigantic cell, with many, many
different “specialized” components. Nurture each
component, and you are one happy, healthy person. The
good thing is that there are only a few things that
constitute good nurturing and those are the same for
all components, including all the “specialized” parts.
Your body converts what it needs. You simply give it
the good “basics”. I want to explain a little about
normal bones and their functions. Then outline how they
thrive, and how they can be damaged. Because we expect
our bodies will always heal, I will mention things to
encourage that healing. As always, this is a general
discussion on how your bones help you live. It not
meant to be taken as any sort of medical advice.

It is fun to imagine what would happen if you didn’t
have any framework to house your body parts! (Picture a
tent without framework or inner poles!)Your brain would
be wobbling and maybe rolling off your eyes…one or
both! Would your neck still sitting near the top end of
your chest...or could it have slipped to the side?
What’s holding you up if you don’t have any bones in
your legs? And where would your kidneys be floating?
Let’s not even think about bladder or bowel control!
Seriously, all parts of your body are interdependent.
No matter how small a part you may loose or damage, the
damage “reverberates” throughout your entire body.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

<><><><>

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to

4Now for the story

Amenti had committed to higher law at the same time and
day Reno did. That changed both their lives for the better.
This was long after Riata had been shot and the orphanage
evolved into a shrine where thousands of people came to be
healed. Amenti and Reno, both, played a vital role in the
orphanage carrying on, in the organization and in the
running of it.

Riata, of course, having overcome death, made herself
available to aid the kids where needed.

It was at the marriage of Riata's sister Oomano that
Amenti and Reno were given the opportunity to commit to
higher law. Jesus had come to bless the union and had
removed all impediment to living by higher law in those who
wanted.

Amenti and Reno took up higher law as being a natural
evolution of their then thinking. Riata had worked with them
and they were at that point where they wanted to proceed.
Now, the pair of them had finally married. The ceremony
had been arranged much to their surprise, but they were
certainly ready.

Here, in their little corner of one of the worlds most
spectacular sights they now spent the first few days of
their honeymoon. They were alone. That was a condition they
were not used to . It was hard for them to refrain from
thinking of the kids at the orphanage.

Yet, they had each other. During the warm days they wore
hardly any clothing. In the cooler nights they built a fire
just outside the door of the hut the men had built for them.

They were situated about half a city block from the
river and they had many miles in each direction that they
could walk. However, the canyon closed in to the river on
each side of them and they were virtually locked in. If
other men had come they would have to come by some sort of
water-craft. For Amenti and Reno, the fact they were land
locked posed no problem whatever. They were free to come and
go as they wished.

So what does one do with themselves, all alone, with
nothing to do? Newlyweds, of course, had each other to
explore. That meant heavy sexual feelings, but it also meant
learning to live with each others habits, bodies, smells. It
meant getting used to the mental make up of an individual.
It meant learning to place the other first and being
completely ready to expose even your weakest points. It
meant learning to give oneself up totally to the new union,
the new condition. In this there could be no reservation,
ever.

Amenti and Reno knew this. When they said "I do" in the
marriage ceremony, they meant it. They were wholly cognizant
of the commitment they were making and wanted it. Here in
this quiet place they had each other and they were so much
in love nothing else existed.

Theirs was not a love of quick infatuation. They had
lived in the orphanage in Matto Grosso for years, working
together. Then they moved to China and lived and worked
there for years. All the while they were in love but did not
sleep together. They were long used to each other. Now they
felt right sleeping together and that was loaded with such
heavy emotions they became lost in one another.

The day was warm. Reno came out of the hut, stretched
and began to slowly walk down to the river. It wasn't long
before Amenti came out of the hut and looking around for
her, simply followed her tracks. Just over a little rise, a
sand dune if you will, he spotted her. She was sitting on
the sand in front of the river, holding her knees to her
chin and lost somewhere in pensive thought.

"A penny for your thoughts!" Amenti did not want to
startle her so he was gentle of voice and approach.

"Oh, hi! I was just sitting here in love with the world.
This is a beautiful place, I am safe, I am in love and my
heart is so full it is almost overpowering me. I love you."
Reno reached out to him. He took her hand and came closer to
her to hold her and hug her. He sat beside her. Their sexual
needs were sated at this moment so it was filled with an
uncluttered openness and appreciation each for the other and
for who and what they were.

"I suppose this is the time when most folks talk about
what they want to do with their lives. What do you think?
Should we move from the orphanage and begin to live on our
own, moving from task to task as some of the others do? Or
should we stay at the orphanage and help out?"

"Amenti, I have been wondering that too. I am glad you
brought it up. It appears you are prepared to move and I am
of the mind we should. The kids at the orphanage all live by
higher law so they certainly don't need us or anyone for
that matter. So if we went back there to live and work we
would only be fooling ourselves. I think it is time to move
on into another chapter of our lives."

"I am glad you feel that way. Before we have children we
are free to move about. We can make ourselves available like
all our friends, to go help mankind in the assorted times
around the world where he needs it. I would like that.
Sooner or later we will naturally fall into our time and
place."

"That's kind of the way I feel, too. So long as we are
together we shall be fine."

"For that matter we'll be fine even if we are alone. Do
you know we've been together for over fifteen years?"

"Yes. I remember the first time I saw you. I think I
fell in love with you that very day. You were a bad boy
then." Reno laughed. "I know, I did many of the same things.
Street life is hard on youngsters. Thank goodness for
someone like Riata."

U-boat: Why doe we call the German submarine a "U-boat"?

Because the German name for a "submarine" is unterseeboot -
and so, the "U" stands for "undersea".

HA! HA! HA!

On a visit to my wife's native England for our honeymoon, we
arrived at London's Gatwick Airport.

Tania headed for the British passport control line while I,
an American, waited in the foreigners' line. When my turn
came, the customs officer asked me the purpose of my visit.

"Pleasure," I replied. "I'm on my honeymoon."

The officer looked first to one side of me, then the other.
"That's very interesting, sir," he said as he stamped my
passport. "Most men bring their wives with them."
