COMING - COMING - COMING

FRIDAY, MARCH 11, 2007

Next Friday we will be launching the book -

"AND BILLIONS WILL DIE"

The book deals with subjects like global warming, population
increases, food shortages, economic collapse, fuel shortages,
global dimming, safe drinking water shortages and many other
topics.

A full year of intensive research has revealed more problems for
mankind that any government wants you to know. See for yourself
what your own personal life will be like. Find out what it will be
like to go to the grocery store only to find empty shelves. See what
it will be like when what food you can find costs twenty times what
you pay today.

Do you know what will happen to you when all these things
happen at once? Do you know what "Superbugs" are coming
and what will happen when they arrive?

Do you know the government already has plans for shutting down
facilities like transportation systems and public buildings like schools
and hospitals?

Do you know these conditions are all converging into a
relatively short time frame and are likely to hit all at once?

The book deals with the conditions in which all will live and shows you
how to survive. We have set up a web site that deals with how to spot
the timing of such things and what you can do to keep you and
your family safe.

Learn that "GLOBAL WARMING" is the least of man's problems and
you will see they keep that front and center so you will not see the
other things coming at us.

Watch for it next Friday. This is one book that is a must read to
prepare you for the future. It can save your life.

Who was the first person to go over Niagara Falls in a
barrel (and survive)?

Annie Taylor, a 63-year-old schoolteacher, was the first
daredevil to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel. (She claimed
to be 43 at the time, but genealogical records say she was
older). On emerging from her barrel after plunging over
Niagara Falls, Annie said, "No one ought ever do that
again."

Is it true that Coca-Cola used to have cocaine in it?

Sort of. The original recipe for the drink that became
Coca-Cola contained coca leaves, the plant that produces
cocaine. Even today, a few coca leaves are added for
flavoring, but there's no cocaine. Coca-Cola was invented in
1886 by a pharmacist who was also a morphine addict. John
Styth Pemberton developed the drink as a medicine against
headache, impotency, and nervous disorders. The original
cola contained wine in addition to a fair amount of coca
leaves. In Pemberton's day, cocaine was not thought to be
harmful. Even doctors (such as Sigmund Freud) touted its
virtues. At first, Coca-Cola was more like a syrup than a
thirst-quenching drink. But some guys at a soda fountain had
the idea of diluting Pemberton's drink with a little
carbonated water. Coca-Cola as we know it was born!

Cold snap puts chill into spring
POSTED: 2249 GMT (0649 HKT), April 7, 2007

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- It's two weeks into spring, but
it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Cold air in much of the country has those celebrating Easter
this weekend swapping out frills, bonnets and sandals for
coats, scarves and socks. Baseball fans are huddled in
blankets, and instead of spring planting, backyard gardeners
are bundling their crops.

The National Weather Service was predicting record lows
Sunday for parts of the Southeast and Midwest, and an
unseasonably cold weekend for much of the Northeast. Snow
was forecast in parts of Ohio, Michigan and New England.
(Watch where the cold and snow are lingering )

"Our musicians are worried about their fingers," said the
Rev. Michael Bingham, pastor of Wesley Memorial United
Methodist Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where Sunday
lows were predicted to be in the low 20s. The church's
sunrise Easter service usually held in a courtyard will be
moved indoors.

In Morrison, Colorado, officials were forced to cancel an
annual sunrise service at the Red Rocks Amphitheater because
seats and stairways were covered in ice.

In Washington, D.C., visitors to the nation's capital awoke
Saturday to see cherry blossoms coated with snow. Snow also
fell in metro Atlanta Friday night, and even in parts of
West Texas and the Texas Panhandle.

Heavier snow in Ohio postponed Saturday's doubleheader
between the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners. The
doubleheader had been scheduled because Friday's home opener
in Cleveland was postponed. (Watch how a young baseball fan
sums up the day )

In Nashville, Tennessee, a forecast low of 22 degrees Sunday
would beat the current record set on March 24, 1940, when
the morning temperature was 24 degrees.

"We're going to be in record territory, for sure," said Jim
Moser, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in
Nashville.

Farmers were worried about the impact the weather could have
on crops. Blueberries could be particularly affected, said
Stanley Scarborough, production manager of Sunnyridge Farms,
which has fields in Baxley and Homerville, Georgia.

Scarborough said the majority of the state's blueberry crop,
a variety called rabbit-eye, is normally harvested around
June 1. This year, the bushes bloomed early because of a
heat wave last week. Scarborough said the blueberries are
not able to withstand freezing.

"At 26 or 27 degrees, you would probably lose half of the
Georgia crop," valued at $20 million to $25 million,
Scarborough said.

In Alabama, growers scrambled to protect early blooming
peach orchards. State Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks
said if temperatures stay at 28 to 29 degrees for two hours,
there could be "very severe" damage to the crop.

"If we stay there for four hours, we could possibly lose the
peach crop," he said.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - - with Karin Henderson

The Ins And Outs of Breathing
Every breath you take is vital to your survival
(This is not just discussion of the obvious - look!)
PART 8 of 10

There are many types of allergies. They include allergic
rhinitis (hay fever), atopic dermatitis, anaphylaxis, hives, and
blood transfusion reactions. For our purposes, we'll stick with
the respiratory ones, but I want you to recognize that this
protection is available to you naturally throughout your body.

It then follows that if the lung "tubes" or passages or pathways
(bronchus and or bronchioles) are not working properly for
whatever reason, a reduced amount of energy (O2) will reach its
cell destination. And that translates into tiredness and maybe
shortness of breath. If you follow this line of thinking, you
will understand how quickly the diameter and the capacity of
this "compromised" airway can lead to problems.

Whatever the cause, several outcomes can happen in or to the
passageways. The airways can go into spasm. The entire passage
can be blocked. Or it can irritate the lining so much that it
simply can't protect you and now produces a lot of fluids. This
is its effort to "wash out the irritants". And the continuing
narrowing of the airways as they get closer to the exchange site
may then lead to a very tight feeling in the chest, shortness of
breath, and wheezing. This requires immediate hospital care and
you would most likely be given an anti-inflammatory medication
to reduce this swelling. This is all part of the immune system:
the body's natural protection for you.

For short-term situations, if the invaders are quickly cleared
out, everything settles down. But the long-term "use" of this
inflammatory response can result in injury to the cells in the
layer under the cilia. This in turn can lead to chronic
inflammation that can cause significant damage to the lung
tissue and eventually impairs the overall lung function. Current
research favors the concept that oxidative stress results from
these pollutants (free radicals) and its ongoing attempt to
overcome this chronic inflammation. It is felt that this is
behind most of our lung diseases like asthma, chronic
obstructive lung disease, and even lung cancer.

PERCEPTIONS . . . by Ken Darby

-----------------------DISCLAIMER

Some around me think I am an opinionated old goat.
Whether that be true or not I will sometimes, in this column,
talk about things people don't like to talk about - or don't want
out in the open. Take it all with a grain of salt.

Do your own thinking, and don't accept the things I say as
gospel. They are only mental meanderings from a simple soul.

Expect The Unexpected!

Don’t you ever wonder what on earth they are talking about
when they talk about global warming? Look at today’s Cover
Story. Where is global warming in that? I’ll bet those
folks, all living in the deep freeze, are wondering about
that today.

Well, bear in mind no one said global warming meant a
specific area at a specific time. In fact climatologists
often speak of “freak” conditions, conditions that are
unusual or shouldn’t be.

It is for that reason we will get more hurricanes in one
season and fewer than normal in another. We will get many
and stronger earthquakes and many of those will be in areas
never before struck with one.

There will be flooding where there was none before and
freezing where it didn’t freeze before and you can bet all
these will happen at the most inappropriate time, having no
thought for man.

The concept of global warming deals not only with the idea
the temperature of the earth is warming. It deals also with
the “effects” of global warming, many of which influence
natural disasters like flooding, polar ice melts,
hurricanes, lack of fresh water after the glaciers melt. All
these things happen because they are the primary or
secondary effect of global warming.

Yes, you can expect strange weather anywhere on earth. Who
knows, we might even get a shift in the earth’s axis and
turn frozen areas into tropical and the tropical into polar
areas. That is not a prediction. It is put here only to have
you see you should expect the unexpected.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?

Jazz: Where does the wor "jazz" come from?

The word comes to us from Creole French - by way of the
minstrel show dandy who carried a cane and wore spats, "Mr.
Jasbo." In Creole French a "dandy" is called a chasse beaux
- or a "beaux chaser" - because he's so attractive that he
chases all the other beaux away. The syncopated music we now
call "jazz" was used in the "cakewalk" - a form of of
competition for these "beaux" at box socials. Minstrel shows
adopted the character, the dance, the music, the name of the
dance and the name chasse beaux for the competitors - but,
not knowing French, spelled the latter, "Jassbo," "Jasbo"
and "Jazzbo". The vulgar meaning of the term has its origin
in another characteristic of the original beaux.

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!

"We can often do more for other men by trying to
correct our own faults than by trying to correct
theirs." -- Francois Fenelon

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

HA! HA! HA!

Last year, when the power mower was broken and wouldn't run,
I kept hinting to my husband that he ought to get it fixed,
but somehow the message never sunk in.

Finally I thought of a clever way to make the point. When my
husband arrived home that day, he found me seated in the
tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing
scissors. He watched silently for a short time, and then
went into the house. He was gone only a few moments, and
when he came out again he handed me a toothbrush.

"When you finish cutting the grass," he said, "you might as
well sweep the sidewalks.
