Why did King James II ban golf?
King James II allegedly banned golf in England and Scotland
in 1457 because he was concerned that the sport distracted
men from the archery practice necessary for national
defense. Why do I say "allegedly"? Well, it seems that King
Edward III of England in 1366 ALSO banned a sport to prevent
his subjects from being distracted from their archery
practice. King Edward III is said to have outlawed bowling.
His soldiers, no longer able to bowl, kept the sport alive
by marking down "strike" and "spare" whenever enemies were
killed or wounded, respectively. Two kings doing the exact
same (unusual) thing to preserve archery? Hmmm.....sounds
like a legend.
Is it true that after World War II some Japanese soldiers
continued to hide out for decades, convinced the war was
still happening?
Yes. Several small groups of Japanese soldiers continued to
fight long after the end of World War II, unwilling or
unable to believe that Japan could have actually
surrendered. Most of these soldiers were taught that
surrender was NEVER an option. The most famous of these was
Intelligence Officer 2nd Lt. Hiroo Onoda who emerged from
the jungle of Lubang Island with his weapons nearly three
decades after Japan's surrender. Lt. Onoda and a small band
of fellow soldiers were the only survivors of an American
attack on the island near the close of the war. After the
war, they continued to hide out and refused to believe the
fighting was over, even when planes flew overhead dropping
leaflets telling them the war was over. This seemed to them
to be an obvious trick by the enemy to lure them out. Search
parties, often including relatives of the soldiers, were
also unsuccessful in convincing the dedicated soldiers that
Japan had surrendered. By 1974, Lt. Onada was the only one
left. One day he approached a young Japanese man who was
surprised to meet the mythical "Onoda-san". Soon Onoda
returned to Japan as a hero, who had fought bravely.
Unfortunately, after returning to Japan, he was unable to
adapt to modern life and retired to a ranch in Brazil. He
revisited Lubang Island in 1996.

HOPE, a Dominant Characteristic
With the possible exception of a time just after the second
world war there has never been a time when people thought
man could possible destroy the world - until now.
Now, as then, people felt they could do nothing about it,
yet they went out and at great cost built “bomb shelters”,
just in case an enemy sent an atom bomb. Just as in the
second world war the people at that time were full of hope.
They wanted the best to happen and went about their business
as if it was. So too, during the “bomb shelter” era and that
is more than evident again today.
A large part of the world does not yet realize how
dangerously close the world is for the destruction of
mankind. They think global warming is coming and whether
caused by man or not, there is nothing they can do about it.
They proceed through their day with the attitude “I’ll face
it when it gets here.”
That helps one get through one’s daily life but it does
nothing to help you survive “once it gets here.” You see,
the problem is not global warming in and of itself. The
problems may well be influenced by global warming but the
difficulty is going to be no money, no food and civil
unrest. When these conditions prevail then disease will move
in and an already weakened and fearful people will succumb
by the millions.
There is no reason for that to happen except people today
don’t believe and they will not prepare. They could survive
such an occurrence but they, today, don’t believe it is
coming. That is too bad, for when these things begin to
happen it will be too late to prepare. Food prices will
already be too high. Food will no longer be available, and
during a time of gangs in the streets searching for and
fighting over food it will be too late for one to “get
ready”.
The most significant finding during the research for the
book “AND BILLIONS WILL DIE” was that man has created a
legacy of time bombs all over the place. We hear a lot about
global warming but have no idea about other things that are
far worse. Concentrating on one thing like global warming is
one way the government can have you focus and in doing that
you will not see what some of the real problems are.
The craze toward ethanol production is just another ploy.
There is no possible way ethanol will do any real amount of
supplying energy or reducing greenhouse gases, but there is
a frenzy to produce as much as possible.
I caution you the frenzy is related to making money, not
saving the world. It is another way of producing hope,
though false hope, and keeping your vision from seeing what
is really happening.

Blood, Its Circulation And Its Pressure

When blood shows up in unusual places something is wrong and
needs to be investigated. Because it circulates all through your
body, any abnormality or infection can easily be carried along
with it. Blood without boundaries is simply fluid. It needs to
be contained in some form and sent all over your body,
systematically and consistently. This means a network of
passageways. This network is called the circulatory system. It
provides the means for the blood's "mission" to be fulfilled.
All this starts at birth and ends in death. There is no normal
part of you that is without a blood supply, but there may be
some areas after a trauma that won't receive any "service". No
blood: no life. But that doesn't mean all of you dies. It may
mean just a part does. Your body is very organized and in order
to maintain balance, it will "borrow" from one cell to another.

Just as you don't carry clean and dirty laundry together, blood
doesn't get carried in the same vessels. There are two "one way"
passages: arteries and veins. Just like a river or a tunnel,
something has to allow the entire set of ingredients to reach
the end of the line, intact. A healthy passageway or "lumen" is
clean, smooth and has no debris attached to it anywhere along
the walls. The fluid is propelled along without any
interruptions or blockages. The walls are elastic and move in a
rhythmic pattern, consistently.
Arteries, veins, and the circulatory system are the
transportation corridor or system that blood circulates through.
"Arterial" blood is blood that has just been cleaned and is full
of good things such as these nutrients, chemicals, and oxygen.
(Transported by the arteries) comes from the lungs, with a fresh
load of oxygen, and stops along the way to pick up chemicals and
nutrients. These nine "body" systems are all served or connected
to this lifeline. The arteries get smaller and smaller as they
branch out more and more to cover the entire body. Eventually
they drop their life-giving load to the tiniest cell.
In the individual cells, the oxygen and the nutrients and
chemicals are dropped off. A return network (venous
circulation: oxygen removed) will pick up the waste products
that are created through "metabolism". It is a much more relaxed
or passive system and needs the help of valves to keep the blood
from flowing back to the extremities. That's why the blood
doesn't stay in your feet if you stand up a lot...or pool in
your backside if you sit a lot.)
Metabolism encompasses all the physical and chemical processes
within the body that create and use energy, such as digesting
food and nutrients, eliminating waste, breathing, circulating
blood, temperature regulation.

A Little Wisdom Today Will Save BIG PAIN LATER!
How can you prepare for global warming when you don’t know
how it will affect you?
How can you avoid getting some superbug when you don’t know
when it is coming or what it will do?
What can you do if you lose your job, have no money or can’t
buy food?
The answers to these questions are what you should be
looking at today. Right now when things are going pretty
good for you is when you should be getting ready for times
when things may not be so good. It is called wisdom. It is
the preparation for a period when you may be unable to buy
food, have money or superbugs are having their way with the
public.
It is a simple matter of getting ready, quietly, for a time
that will be coming upon us. We don’t know the exact date
and minute of these conditions. We just know it could easy
begin within a couple years and last for 15 or 20 years.
That is why it is a good idea to slowly, quietly prepare.
That way you will not be the one panicking. You will not be
the one who fears for your life. You will not be the one
that suffers. A small amount of preparation today will save
a huge amount of suffering later.
