. . . the most important book in your future
"AND BILLIONS WILL DIE"
. . . deals with subjects like global warming, population
increases, food shortages, economic collapse, fuel shortages,
global dimming, safe drinking water shortages and many other
topics.
A full year of intensive research has revealed more problems for
mankind that any government wants you to know. See for yourself
what your own personal life will be like. Find out what it will be
like to go to the grocery store only to find empty shelves. See what
it will be like when what food you can find costs twenty times what
you pay today.
MORE IMPORTANTLY - LEARN WHAT YOU CAN DO
TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS.
Learn to live, be happy, have peace of mind and survive when all
these things happen at once? Do you know what "Superbugs" are
coming and what will happen when they arrive? Learn ways to stay
healthy.
Do you know the government already has plans for shutting down
facilities like transportation systems and public buildings like schools
and hospitals? Learn ways to live without these services.
The book deals with the conditions in which all will live and shows you
how to survive. Go to this web site where it deals with how to spot
the timing of such things and what you can do to keep you and
your family safe.
Learn that "GLOBAL WARMING" is the least of man's problems and
you will see they keep that front and center so you will not see the
other things coming at us.

Is it true that Hitler designed the Volkswagon Beetle?
No, he didn't design it. Ferdinand Porsche (the founder of
Porsche) was the designer. But Hitler's government did
finance the project. Hitler was fond of cars and when
Porsche approached Hitler with his idea of producing a small
"people's car," Hitler agreed to provide funding.
Were Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun ever married?
Hitler married his lifelong mistress on April 30, 1945, the
eve of their joint suicide.

YOU CAN BE SAFE . . . with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
Set Your Mind At Ease
The following is a verbatim excerpt from a report given to
the UN within the last week. It was written up in
boston.com. Here is the link -
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2007/
04/17/coastal_areas_face_risks_from_warming/
“"None of us will escape the impacts of climate change,"
said Patricia Romero Lankao , one of the report's authors
and a scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric
Research, a nonprofit group based in Boulder, Colo.
The newly released review also found that rising
temperatures in the United States would diminish snow
accumulations and increase water evaporation, threatening
rivers, lakes, and other water sources. In the Great Lakes
and major US river systems, lower water levels could have an
impact on water quality, production of hydroelectric power,
and relations with Canada.
Warming temperatures could also spur increases in
respiratory illnesses, accelerate the spread of infectious
diseases such as Lyme disease and West Nile virus, and
produce more extended periods of high-temperature days .”
It states pretty clearly North America will suffer greatly
at the hands of global warming. The report does not go all
the way into all of the effects, however. For example it
doesn’t say food will become scarce. It doesn’t show that
the economy will virtually collapse under such pressure and
it does not show that many, too many, will be without jobs
or income. That is what happens when you have rising
temperatures such that crops cannot grow and coastal land
areas are flooded, permanently. It is what happens when you
no longer have hydroelectric power. It is what happens when
you have a considerable shortage of safe drinking water.
You can react to these reports with fear, if you like. Or
you can have a serious look at them and begin to discuss how
you and your family can avoid these effects. By doing this
discussion routine you will go a very long way to knowing
you can handle what is coming.
One thing you should know. Even the scientists will tell you
these things are beginning to happen much more rapidly than
even they thought could happen. In other words, it is a good
idea to have a look and begin to prepare now.
Uncertainty is what causes you to be fearful. When you don’t
know what is forthcoming you worry and become scared. Once
you do know then it continues to be frightening because you
realize, or think you realize, you can do nothing about it.
Well, you are right. You can do nothing about global warming
or its effects. You can only prepare yourself and your house
for what those effects are. When you do prepare you go a
long way to setting your mind at ease.
I strongly recommend you begin your thinking, your research
and your preparations now. The sooner you begin the sooner
you will reach peace of mind again.
I also recommend you begin by subscribing to
http://thinksurvival.org/
By doing so you will have one site where you are not only
kept updated with the most recent of reports, but given all
sorts of ideas as to what you can do to prepare.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - - by Karin Henderson
Blood, Its Circulation And Its Pressure
PART 5 of 8
BLOOD PRESSURE is the pressure of the blood pushing against the
walls of the arteries. It's like a garden hose. If there is only
a trickle, it can't perform much. If it's too fast, it can blow
a hole in the wall of the vessel (tube). And it can blow through
debris that might form clots. It's usually lowest in the morning
as you have been resting all night. As the day progresses, it
gets higher. If you have to monitor it, choose roughly the same
time each day and the same machine and the same clothing. Rest a
few minutes when you get to the machine. Do not compare readings
from mornings to afternoons, or machine to machine, especially
digital and mercury ones.
There are two readings: the first (opening or top) reading is
the "systolic". It is the pressure of the blood when the heart
muscle contracts and presses against the artery wall. The
second, lower, "diastolic" is the reading when the heart rests
between heartbeats. Normal values are a systolic of 110 to 130
and diastolic of between 60 to 80. Over the length of my nursing
career, I have witnessed many changes in the interpretation of
blood pressure values and readings. Some did not make much sense
to me. If this might be a problem for you, do your own research.
Let's look at some of the problems created by "abnormal blood or
blood pressure". The individual cell needs oxygen, nutrients,
and chemicals. And all cell needs are pretty much alike. It is
the cell's tissue of the nine body systems that determines the
cell's purpose and its activities. So it follows that if any of
the blood's components are missing for any reason, the cell will
be incomplete and can't do its assignment.

PERCEPTIONS . . . by Ken Darby
-----------------------DISCLAIMER
Some around me think I am an opinionated old goat.
Whether that be true or not I will sometimes, in this column,
talk about things people don't like to talk about - or don't want
out in the open. Take it all with a grain of salt.
Do your own thinking, and don't accept the things I say as
gospel. They are only mental meanderings from a simple soul.

Practice What You Preach
In every generation there are those, usually the old, who
will say “The world is going to hell in a handbasket” or
“When I was young . . .”
And when I was a younger man I used to listen to this kind
of talk. It most often went in one ear and out the other and I
went on my merry old way. You see, I had what I
affectionately call the young man’s thinking disease. What
that means is that, like all young men, without any just
cause I used to think myself invincible. So, then, in truth,
I thought I could do anything and survive anything. Boy,
life was good back then. So much was accomplished out of
nothing more than sheer ignorance.
Yet as you age wisdom sets in. That doesn’t make you any
more fearful. It might only make you a little less arrogant.
And it also shows you different ways to accomplishing things
you never saw before.
So, on the whole, I find life much better now. I find I am
happy and I know why I am happy. I find I can look at things
without having my emotions rip and tear at me to react. I
find life much nicer now than I ever did.
Some of you, who read my work, may say “How can you be
peaceful when you write about such terrible things?”
The answer to that question is - I practice what I preach. I
am prepared for what I see as our future. And I continue to
prepare as this future slips and slides into place. I know
in my heart of hearts I will not only survive what is coming
but that I and my family will thrive. That does not mean we
will have a lot of money and “thrive” like you think of
today. It means we will be happy, healthy and have the food
we need. It means we can pretty much be invisible to “roving
gangs” who are looking for food. And it means we can and
will adapt to whatever the future will bring because we
prepared.
I ask you to consider doing the same thing. I set up a web
site that provides you with that information. It is a
subscription site that costs you the modest sum of $5.00 per
month. That fee helps us keep the site on line and bring you
the latest news. Come join us and you, too, will thrive.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Mackinaw: Where did the "mackinaw" get that name?
The term was first applied to the gaudy blankets issued by
the Government in the 1820s and used in Indian trade,
especially at the trading post of Mackinac, Michigan - which
had been named Mitchimakinak by the Ojibway Indians. The
jackets were first made of this colorful blanket cloth; and
since "Mackinac" is pronounced "Mackinaw," they were called
"Mackinaw" jackets.

HA! HA! HA!
On our 25th anniversary, my husband took me out to dinner.
Our teenage daughters said they'd have dessert waiting for
us when we returned. After we got home, we saw that the
dining room table was beautifully set with china, crystal
and candles, and there was a note that read: "Your dessert
is in the refrigerator. We are staying with friends, so go
ahead and do something we wouldn't do!"
My husband turned to me and said, "I suppose we could
vacuum."
