Just Be Thankful!

A foursome of senior golfers hit the course with waning
enthusiasm for the sport.
"These hills are getting steeper as the years go by," one
complained.
"These fairways seem to be getting longer too," wheezed
a second.
"And somehow, the sand traps seem to be bigger than I
remember 'em too," said the third.
Hearing just about enough from his buddies, the oldest,
and the wisest of the foursome at 87-years-old, piped up
and said, "Oh my friends, just be thankful we're still on
THIS side of the grass!"
Isn't that a truth? I love this joke for it reminds be to be
thankful. Being so has been one of the strongest motivations
in my life. I find that when I am thankful for whatever happens
to me it enlightens me to see the lesson things contain.
I find that when I am involved in something I don't like I try
always to be thankful. I get myself calm and go inside. There
I express my gratitude to my Maker for the condition and
often I find solutions, answers, and always lessons.
I believe nothing happens by coincidence, that instead we
broadcast to the universe what we want and the lessons
come along to prepare us to receive our request. Sometimes
those lessons are unsavory. Sometimes they hurt. Sometimes
they are so abundant we cannot handle it right. Always there
is a lesson for which we should be thankful.
Being thankful helps calm us down. It helps us have a real
look at the real circumstances. It helps us set aside our
emotion that we might see.
Being thankful is a close cousin to being forgiving. Both
cleanse the soul of burdens one carries around. One must
learn that to forgive does not mean we must again become
involved with another. It does mean we harbor no malice
toward another. There is no room in your heart for anger
and joy. You get one or the other. You are in control so it
is your call.
So, if you would prosper, if you would learn what life
has to offer...

I move files and folders about by dragging them across in
'Explorer' (right click 'Start', click 'Explorer)
But Windows treats your dragged files differently if you're
moving them around the same disk, or if you're moving them
between disks.
Drag a file from one folder to another, and the file is
moved. But drag the same file to another disk that's
separate from your hard disk, like a floppy or a Zip disk,
and it's copied. NOT moved.
If you want to get control of the situation, and always be
presented with a verification of your intent, use the RIGHT
drag method. Really. Just right click instead of left
clicking when you drag an icon. When you release the right
button, you'll see a context menu appear with these options:
Move Here, Copy Here, Create Shortcut(s) Here, and Cancel.

What Is Health? What Is Wellness?
Some Concepts To Consider
PART 1 of 5
Health and Wellness: our fantasy and our strong desire. But do
you know what is to be healthy? To be well? How do you practice
being "well"? These ideas include a practical definition of
health and wellness, basic knowledge of what your body needs and
a short biology lesson. Also the prevention of degenerative
diseases is touched on and the possible need for nutritional
supplementation is reviewed.
Health is defined as the state of mental, physical, and social
wellbeing. It is the absence of disease or other abnormal
conditions. It is NOT a "static" condition, meaning you fix it
once and it always stays that way. "Health" is in constant
change. It adapts to stress, in order to maintain homeostasis.
The Medical Dictionary defines it as the condition of an
organism (human) or one of its parts (different organs and
systems) in which it performs its vital functions normally or
properly. It is the state of being "sound" in body or mind,
especially, in being free from physical disease and pain. This
also includes dental health and mental health. It also means the
condition of an organism (human) with respect to the performance
of its vital functions when someone asks "how are you today".
The definition of homeostasis is "the maintenance of relatively
stable internal physiological conditions (as body temperature or
the pH of blood) in higher animals (us humans) under fluctuating
environmental conditions". But what does all really mean to you
in your life? It means that your body is often in different
environments and has different needs to be fulfilled. So you
won't be able to rely on one way of living for your entire life.
Sad, but true...but then you aren't going to have the same job
every day for life either. It means that you need to learn how
your body functions: what makes it "happy" and what causes it
grief. Once you can figure that out, and know it will change,
you are well on the way to achieving health and wellness.
If you don't think you've achieved your optimum health level
yet, how will you recognize it when it happens? Here are some
concepts that have helped others achieve healthier lives. You
might want to use those ideas to reach and maintain your own
optimum lifestyle. These concepts are all backed by current
mainstream research. The information is trustworthy and is easy
to understand. Health & wellness are certainly within the reach
of anyone who really wants to achieve them.

world thought I would learn to live by higher law.
I didn't even know about it until I started to
live at the Henrys. They have treated me swell."
"I'll bet so, but how do you like living by
higher law?" Mae was persistent in her pursuit of
an answer.
"I like it just fine Mrs. Wiley. I have been
all over the world helping out in situations where
folks are having troubles. I like this. I don't
want to do anything else. I never knew it before,
but all men are called to this. I can't believe
people can stoop as low as the foster home I lived
in. All they seem to want is to live in an alcohol
induced stupor all their lives. Even those who
don't drink seem to be oblivious to the truth of
the real world. They have created a world of their
own and believe it to be real, so to them it is.
I'm just a young man, but already I see the
futility of man's ways when he could have so much
more. He seems to continually opt out for material
goods, which, he thinks makes him somebody. His
ego will keep him in bondage, and his ignorance of
the law will provide no excuse for him."
"My you have grown. You are right Billy. Man
can choose to have much more yet he hangs on to
the anchor of material goods as if his life
depended upon them. He cannot or will not see
through the veil of simplicity. And he therefore
suffers. That is why we must work to help." Mae
was impressed with this young man.
"I have contacted Mom and Dad. They say they
will be here shortly, as soon as the Strikers come
over" said Eloise.
"That would be terrific. I look so much
forward to seeing them again. It'll be wonderful"
Susan answered.
"It sounds like the fire is beginning."
"Not yet Mae. They're just getting things all
prepared. They are aware you are back and that we
have a lot of company tonight. They will want the
fire to last long into the night. There is much
cause to celebrate, having all you folks here. Hey
Tlang, would you like to sit by our big fire
tonight? The whole village will be there." Mazunta
was trying to make Tlang feel wanted.
"Mr. Mazunta I like fires. I will come. We
have had a fire the last couple nights since I
have been with Mrs. Mae and Mrs. Susan. It is nice
to sit around a fire and talk. I am glad I have
come."
"Good. Then we will make a special place for
you at our fire tonight."
"Hello you folks." There came a voice everyone
recognized. Sam and Alewka Henry had arrived
along with Ben and Helen Striker. It was like old
home week.
"We are sure glad you asked us here tonight.
It is snowing up in Pinehill. It is much better to
be here sitting around a fire with friends. How
are you all doing? Hello Tlang," Sam dropped to
his knees and held out his arms to give her a hug.
Tlang didn't know this man and him wanting a
hug instantly brought back memories she didn't
like. Yet he was warm, broadcast love she could
feel and he knew her name. In this circle she felt
it would be okay. She cautiously walked toward
him. The moment she touched him she felt waves of
love energy flow through her. All her fears
vanished. She gave Sam Henry a very big hug, and
she got one in return. Tlang knew she was safe and
in good company.
The Henrys and the Strikers hugged everyone
and all were happy to see one another.
"Let's all go to the fire. I think the village
will be much surprised to see all of you here"
said David.
Tlang was again paying attention to and
playing with little Maz and with Mae Eloise. The
kids would all be together tonight.
The group began their move to the fire. Just
as soon as the villagers saw who was in the group
there was a ripple of excitement flow through the
village. Not only was Mae home but she brought
with her two guests. Then Missy's folks were here
with the Strikers, and her brothers had also come.
This was truly a night to celebrate.
The women of the village hurriedly prepared
much food and drink. The night called for more
than the average nightly fire. It was always such
a joy to have the Henrys and the Strikers. Both
Sam and Ben were recognized as leaders equal at
least to their own Mazunta.
There was much excitement about the village.
Even the village elders were animated more than
usual. Mazunta's folks joined the group. There was
a lot of hugging and good wishes spread amongst
them.
