Looking ahead: When was Thanksgiving declared a
national holiday?
Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday in 1863,
following an intense campaign by Sarah Josepha Hale,
editor of a ladies' magazine. President Abraham Lincoln
officially set the date as the last Thursday of November.
The date was moved up one week by President
Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939, to stimulate the Depression
economy (how that worked, I have no idea). Two years
of public protest followed. Congress then passed a law
establishing the fourth Thursday in November as the
official holiday.
Is it true that guinea pigs were once huge creatures, the
size of buffalos?
Sort of. It was actually a cousin of the guinea pig that
weighed more than 1,500 pounds and stood over four
feet tall. Scientists in the September 19, 2003 edition of
the journal Science recently reported that this prehistoric
rodent, called "Phoberomys pattersoni," is the largest
rodent ever discovered. It resembled a huge guinea pig,
with a long tail for balancing on its hind legs. It was also
semi-aquatic and probably foraged for food along
riverbanks.

Some woman on AOL sent 1,500 emails a day for so many
days. It detailed her activity. I sent it to the
owner of that autoresponder (and I had about 20
accounts with them) and they wrote me stating I needed
to contact that spam blocking service and work it out.
WAIT! It wasn't me. The IP belonged to THEM and they
were blacklisted because of one of their (the
autoresponder owner) other users!
Once they understood that, I never heard from them and
it was never fixed. Five months later that same woman
was getting them blacklisted again.
This effected me! My readers and my clients couldn't
get my emails because of her and the autoresponder
service owner not wanting to fix it!
My solution? Delete her membership! It says on their
site they would.
Ok, time to move on. But where? Who is going to manage
my lists?
So I turned to my website host. I decided to use their
mailing list managers to have contact with my lists.
Argh! Not again?!
They too are often blacklisted. Yes, I did the same
research above and found it was my website host that
was blacklisted and found the person who got them there.
BUT, they worked hard to clear it up. And usually within
48 hours it was.
48 hours. That's a long time to not be able to reach
people on your lists.
It wasn't just through their mailing list manager they
were blocked - it was also emailing people direct. I
couldn't even get my emails to a business partner of
mine because her server permanently blocked my website
hosts IP.
Frustrating to say the least!
That's where things can really kill your success
online. Emailing from your website host Web Email only
to have it blocked. Web Email - logging into your control
panel and sending mail direct from your website.
So to those other servers out there that blocked my
website host's IP, I had to find another way to email
those I needed to reach. Talk about taking up my time!
For those of you that purchase leads by the 10,000's,
the above shouldn't bother you.
But for those of you that rely on communication with
your clients and subscribers - and you use a cheap
website hosting company or autoresponders to manage
your lists - you may want to consider finding an
alternative provider. That is if you get those irritating
email notices saying your email wasn't delivered because
the IP is blocked.
My suggestion? Lose the autoresponder services all
together. Impersonal, makes you lazy. Made me lazy!
If you are a professional and serious about your success
online - and you own your own website - I recommend
finding a new website host.
There's value in spending money on a service provider.
There's value in choosing a service provider you can
actually talk with on the phone.
There's value in choosing a service provider that is
in the business to help you and cares about you.
By the way? Even if you don't get those email notifications
your emails may be blocked if you use an autoresponder.
Think about those that use autoresponders - they are
email marketing affiliate mlm'ers. For the most part.
Using an autoresponder service provider is a risk because
so many others will abuse the service. They abuse it,
we pay the price.
Again, if you are a serious professional online -
consider who you choose to help you communicate.
Your online success depends on it.

I visited in order to understand mercury/amalgam a
little better. For some links, I reserved comment. It
could well be that I felt it would give more objective
point of view. When you visit them, the information
will be very clear and educational. For others, I
introduced them for the reason I want you to check out

helpful and easy to understand.
First: This is the site which has the wonderfully
helpful list of things to do to prevent the mercury
vapors to be raised or stimulated unnecessarily. You
HAVE to spend some time reading it. Their books are at
the printers right now, so bookmark the site and
purchase them as soon as they become available.

would like you to consider buying his book. Although it
was first written in 1996, the information is so
valuable and easy to read, that it should be another

Commission’s position as it seems to differ from other,
more traditional points of view. “Consumer Product
Safety Commission Mercury Vapors Are Hazardous CPSC
Document #5057 “Because some herb-selling shops or
"botanicas" sell mercury for use in homes, the U.S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is alerting
consumers that mercury vapors (which have no odor) are
hazardous. CPSC recommends that consumers avoid
breathing mercury vapors. Most uses of mercury that
expose consumers to fumes are banned. However, some
ethnic traditions encourage the sprinkling of mercury
around the house for religious reasons. This is
hazardous because people - especially young children -
could breathe the mercury vapors. Mercury can cause
serious and permanent nerve and kidney damage. Mercury
poisoning (acrodynia) has these symptoms: rapid
heartbeat, sweating, irritability or hostility,
withdrawal or shyness, memory loss, peeling of hands
and feet, leg pain, slight hand tremors, difficulty
with fine motor control (such as handwriting),
sleeplessness, and headaches. Young children and
children born to women exposed during pregnancy may be
especially sensitive. If you believe you have mercury
poisoning, see a doctor. If mercury has been sprinkled
in your home, open all windows so the mercury vapors
can escape. It may take several days of ventilation to
eliminate the mercury. If you have questions about how
to clean up and dispose of mercury, call your local
health department. To avoid mercury poisoning, do not
sprinkle mercury around the house or expose people in
the home to mercury vapors.”

Sharon pondered that news with more than a
little concern. She well knew that her folks would
be concerned beyond reason. This hit an emotional
chord in their hearts, from more than one angle.
"Don't you worry about that Sharon. All things
work out" Alewka spoke with that soft confidence
of a woman who has seen it all. Sharon found it
easy to believe her.
"Thank you Mrs. Henry."
"What is your favorite meal, Sharon, the most
favorite of all, that you haven't had for a
while?"
"Oh, I really like steak and lobster, but my
folks don't take me out that often to get it. It
costs a lot when you take the whole family" Sharon
replied.
In that instant there was a steak and lobster
meal in front of everyone at the table. Sharon
smelled it first. It smelled delicious. Then she
looked. She could not believe her eyes. "How did
this meal get here?"
"Sharon, when you live by higher law you can
manifest anything you want. There is a simple and
effective way to do that whenever you want or
need. I just manifested the meal because your
choice sounded like a good one. None of us have
had this for a while." Alewka continued her soft
authoritative ways.
Sharon was bewildered. Yet the family took to
it as if this were standard fare. No one was
surprised but her.
"Sharon, this is your first experience with
this kind of thing. Don't worry about it, you will
see it often if you stick around me." Tim was
hoping to keep her calm and accept what she was
seeing. "Remember I told you in our walk that you
would see many things you would not believe? This
is only one part. By the way, food manifested is
amongst the healthiest food you can eat. It has
none of man's chemicals or by products in it."
While he was speaking with her he was also
squeezing her leg, where he had left his hand for
the last ten minutes. Sharon took that as her
touch with reality.
Cautiously tasting the meal she found it to be
the most delicious she had ever tasted. The
temperature was just right. She devoured it
completely and felt full, comfortable. "That was
wonderful, Mrs. Henry. Can you eat like this all
the time?"
"Yes, Sharon, we can. We don't, but we can. I
still like to do work in the kitchen, so many of
our meals I prepare. But when we have special
company over, I like to ensure they have the best
meal they would like. That's why I asked of your
favorite meal.
"It was wonderful. I can't remember steak and
lobster tasting that great." Sharon did enjoy her
meal but had lingering concerns about where it
came from.
"Let's try that again Sharon. What is your
favorite dessert?"
"My Mom makes a lemon slice to die for. She
never makes it often enough. I could eat the whole
pan full when she makes it."
"Is that it?" Alewka had taken the sensations
she saw and felt in Sharon's mind and manifested
the lemon slice she saw.
Sharon looked down to see her dessert. She was
in awe. Tasting it she found it to be even better
than her Mother's. "Thank you Mrs. Henry."
"And what is your favorite beverage after a
meal, Sharon?"
"Mostly I just drink water, thank you."
With that there was a glass of water in front
of everyone.
"Mrs. Henry, this meal was fantastic. Thank
you, I enjoyed it more than you know."
Alewka responded, "Thank you Sharon."
After the meal they all retired to the front
room where they could sit comfortably and talk.
Suddenly there was a light in the room and
from it emerged three people. Eloise, Mazunta and
AliAnne.
"Hi, Eloise, Mazunta. How are you guys today?"
Sam had been fairly quiet up to now, but this was
his daughter who came to visit and he was up
giving her a hug the moment he saw her.
"We're fine, Dad, Mom. How are you folks
doing?"
"All is well Tinkerbell. All is well. I want
you to meet Sharon Smithson. Tim brought her over
for supper tonight.
"Hello Sharon, welcome" Eloise put out her
hand to shake Sharon's. "This is my husband,
Mazunta and this is AliAnne, short for Alewka
Aniata. It is good to have you here. I sure hope
the folks and the boys aren't scaring you off with
all the stuff they do."
"Hello, Eloise, Mazunta. Yes they are. And
where did you come from? You just appeared."
