"How Can You Be Sure?"

You’re in the store picking up some last minute items. You
see someone who looks different, out of place. They are
looking around suspiciously with their hands in their pockets.
They are surveying everything around them. Or they are
following someone. They look like someone that doesn’t belong.
How can you be sure? Could they be a terrorist, kidnapper,
robber, violent offender, getting ready to take advantage of
the situation.
There is a key, a solution to this situation.
But let’s carry this a little further. What if you were in
an airport, in the office, parking lot, your work place, on a
plane, train, bus, first date, on the highway, and you saw
someone like this.
And what if it was your child, at the bus stop, in school,
on a bicycle, with someone lurking around, maybe sitting in
a car waiting for the right opportunity.
You can be sure if you know what to look for. That someone
may be under too much stress and prone to violent behavior.

Upgrading to Windows XP?
Windows XP comes in two versions, Home and Professional.
There's not much difference in the way the two versions look
or behave.
Part of the difference is mechanical. Windows XP Professional
can use two central processing unit (CPU) engines inside your
computer, making it run faster and more powerfully.
Much of the remaining difference centers on networking and
security. Windows XP Professional includes the features of
Windows XP Home, plus it adds a backup program, higher-level
of security in networking, multi-language support, and more
advanced features.
If you buy XP Home and decide its networking features aren't
powerful enough for your needs, feel free to upgrade to XP
Professional. That version installs over XP Home without
problems. You can't go the other way, though: You can't install
Windows XP Home over Windows XP Professional. You need
to free your hard drive of Windows entirely by formatting it and
then start over.

The Natural And The Unnatural

But what does sugar have to do with cellular nutrition? And
should you care? You should care if you want to keep your body
"full of life": to do the things you want it to do. Cellular
nutrition refers to those nutrients that feed your body in a way
that allow every cell, every organ, every system, including the
tiniest elements, to work in harmony. It should function like a
well-oiled machine. It's like your computer never running out of
disc space or your printer not running out of paper, or your
toothbrush bristles never getting worn out. But they do. And you
wouldn't think of substituting anything but what is suggested.
The computer, printer, and toothbrush all need those things that
help them do what they are DESIGNED to do. And your body is the
same. It is designed to use nutrients to give it life/energy.
Some very nourishing foods are just a touch "un-tasty"...so to
make them more appealing, taste fresher, or last longer,
"sweetness" is added. For the most part, this doesn't add any
true food value. But the additional appeal will get you to eat
it, therefore nourishing your body with the other (original)
items. In turn this will give you more "life". We do this with
babies in their formulas or baby foods...add a bit of sugar on
your finger or in the food, and they eat it. We get programmed
early on in life. We also do it as adults with tomato
ketchup...what food value does it offer? None!
There are many people who prefer "savory foods" and deny having
a sweet tooth, but they, too, will enhance some foods with
sweeteners. We are simply used to eating sweet foods and some
people really like their foods VERY sweet! To our bodies, that
will just add "empty calories". But there is a hidden factor in
this as well. Many of the foods we eat, contain natural sugar or
carbohydrates. They fill you up but provide few nutrients. And
those cells that have reminded you through the "hunger signal"
are still hungry. You really haven't given them the required
energy to function properly. And in a little while you will get
yet another signal of hunger to eat more palatable foods
(desirable: not necessarily healthy) that again provide less the
optimum nutrients...and the cycles continues.
In the meantime, your weight slowly creeps up. In desperation,
you become attracted to commercials about weight control and
diet drinks, and calorie-reduced food. Now you are faced with
some choices...do you go "natural" or "unnatural": real sugars
with possible added calories...or artificial sweeteners with no
(or very few) calories, but possible side effects. Artificial
sweeteners are chemicals that offer the sweetness of sugar
without the calories. Because the substitutes are much sweeter
than sugar, it takes a smaller quantity of them to create the
same sweetness. Therefore, products made with artificial
sweeteners have a much lower calorie count or no calories, than
those made with sugar. Artificial sweeteners are often used as
part of a weight-loss plan or as a means to control weight gain.

Getting up from the bed, they straightened
their clothes and walked outside. Eloise was
nowhere in sight. Neither were the kids or
Mazunta.
Tim and Sharon walked around until they
spotted Eloise. She was over and Pam's and David's
visiting. The pair walked up to them.
"Hello Tim. I haven't seen you for a while.
How are you doing? And who is this pretty young
lady you have with you?" Pam winked at Tim as she
spoke.
"Hi Pam. This is Sharon Smithson. She's from
Pinehill too."
"Hi Sharon. Welcome. Come, sit and let's have
a drink, my name is Pam Wiley. I married David the
fellow who went off into the bush with Missy
here."
That helped identify Pam to Sharon. She knew
of David Wiley and his family from town gossip.
She had not heard of Pam, but that she was David's
wife was enough to identify her. Also, she was
from Pinehill. Pam was tanned and brown. She was a
very good looking young mother. Sharon was
impressed.
"Oh, thank you for your thoughts, Sharon. This
life down here is stress free and healthy. I enjoy
it." These were the thoughts that came back to
Sharon's mind and surprised her. "Yes, I live by
higher law too."
Sharon looked at her, straight in the eye. "I
run into you people everywhere I turn. How come
there are so many of you? I never knew there were
so many who lived by higher law. Except for the
kids at school talking I never even knew what
higher law was until I met Tim."
"It is for all, Sharon, even you. There are no
restrictions, no hold backs, everyone can live by
higher law, it is only a matter of choice. You,
too, can make the choice and live as we do." Pam
was speaking to her directly and looking her in
the eye so she was speaking to Sharon's soul.
Sharon received the word strong and solid.
There was no doubt in her mind. The point had been
made.
"So you and Tim are an item?"
"I guess you could put it that way. We've been
seeing each other, but not for a long time. This
just happened a day or two ago. I'm having trouble
with it. My family are fiercely against my seeing
Tim. They're afraid he'll take me away, grow horns
on me or something. They really don't know much
past what they have learned in church. They've
been told that Tim and the Henry's are of the
devil, or more specifically that they are not of
God, and the people draw the conclusion that they
must be of the devil if they are not of God."
"Join the club, Sharon. That is exactly how my
parents reacted as well. It was a nightmare for
me. I finally had to leave with David to work out
our own lives. I thought I would never see my
parents again. It hurt deep and for a long time.
It worked out for me only because I trusted David
and Eloise, here. David's mother, Mae, also came
down here with us and was a big help."
"Oh! I didn't know you had that trouble too. I
don't know what to do about it. I'm in a fix.
I don't know which way to turn."
"Want some advice?" Pam was still looking her
straight in the eye.
"Yes. I could use some about now."
"Go along with your parents. Don't fight them.
You and Tim can obviously see one another, so do
that too, discreetly. The point I'm trying to get
to here is you have two issues to deal with. Each
affects the other. What good would it do to fight
with your folks if you and Tim decide you are not
for each other? Get that settled first. If, after
a few months you think you want to spend your
lives together, then tackle the issue with your
parents. Mind you, you must do nothing in the
meantime to create problems. The sex thing will be
a tough one to control, but you can't risk getting
caught, or causing a pregnancy, so you best make
up your minds right now on that issue. Once you
get that dealt with then you can carry on much
better and see where it is going. If you do it
that way you'll be able to handle each issue as it
presents itself. Don't try to do it all at once,
that would alienate everyone. See where you two
are going first." Pam could not have been more
serious.
"I guess that is good advice. At least you
have been there and know what I'm going through.
Let me think on that. Thank you Pam. If I have to
talk can I come back?"
"Yes. All you have to do is think of me and
see yourself sending me your thoughts. I'll pick
up on it and if we decide you should come down
here I'll come and get you. You can do that with
Eloise, too, and Tim."
"Yes, Tim and I did that last night. I know
how to do that. Thank you again."
