Your Weakest Moment Is Your Best!
Being a leader can be a lonely position. There you are, out
front, leading the way for others to follow.
You cannot show much emotion, except enthusiasm, and you
can't get into the middle of trifling little disagreements.
Often you must let others work things out themselves as part
of the learning process, yet your mind and heart want to
jump in and straighten the mess up. Leadership experience
always gives you more knowledge than those who follow.
But a true leader knows when to jump in and when to stay
out. It's hard but a leader does it.
A lot of the time, too, in your lead position you are
expected to be there twenty four hours a day, seven days a
week for fifty two weeks of the year. Somehow you don't need
sleep.
People come to you for answers. You give them, and the
people expect to go back and become immediately rich. They
can become disappointed when they learn they must do things
the regular way, that there is a time and place, that you
must follow the laws.
Too often a leader is doing four times the work of others.
Those being led have no real idea of the work load put out
by a leader for they are pre-occupied with their own load.
The leader knows that leaders within the group would be
right up there with him/her, putting out the same workload
and sharing the burden.
Leaders know, too, that there are times when they become
exhausted. There are times when some things don't go right
in other parts of their life. There are times when sadness
is visited upon them because they care about someone who is
hurting. But they must carry on.
Then there are the times when a leaders heart is broken over
bad news that involves a family member, or a family member
of a close friend.
But the work must go on. Regardless of the emotional drain.
Regardless of the exhaustion. Regardless of the trifles that
keep getting in the way. Regardless of the hour, regardless
of whether or not you've eaten, regardless of whether or not
you want to be there - the work must go on.
Ever been there? Ever been so tired and weak you want to
quit? Ever been so tired that everything looks like failure?
That, is your best moment. That is when you are nearest to
your Real Self and your Maker. That is the moment when you
hang on if only by your fingernails. That is the time when
you must resolve to "keep on keepin on". That is the
threshold. That is a summit, which when crossed will reveal
the rewards. That is the moment when all the impurities
leave the gold in the smelter. That is where the change
takes place. That, believe it or not is what you have been
working toward.

Other Dental Issues Affecting Health and Longevity
Infections are not the only dental issues confronting
individuals who wish to free themselves of existing
disease, improve their health and extend their lives.
Nor is oral infection the only dental issue that the
physician and other health professionals must consider.
A number of other dental issues can increase the risk
and severity of other, more serious diseases. They are:
1. Fillings (amalgam/silver amalgam) containing
mercury;
2. Failed root canals;
3. Infected extraction sites (cavitations);
4. Signs and symptoms of other diseases; and
5. Sensitivity to dental materials.
Amalgam Fillings and the Mercury Issue Mercury is the
most toxic, naturally occurring metal on this planet.
It is a potent poison, more toxic than arsenic, and
even one molecule in the body will do it harm. Research
indicates that even minute levels of mercury can have

There was not much aid up in this region for
the worst of the quake was centered in an area
nearly 30 miles away, but there was still damage,
power outages and loss of life and injury here.
Tim saw a little child that had become separated
from its parents. The child was dangerously close
to the edge of the newly formed cliff and the
water running in the valley not five feet from it.
The child was crying. Tim knew its parents were
all right but now on the other side of this split
in the earth. He picked up the child and put it
down on the side where its parents were. They had
been searching desperately for the child and when
they found it they ran to pick it up. The family
was reunited without knowing how or what had
happened to cause it.
This kind of behavior didn't surprise Ted. He
had become used to the Henrys doing this kind of
thing. It was exactly this that had saved his life
a couple years back when he had been trapped in
rubble in downtown Pinehill.
As they moved across the area Ted recognized
some of the aid workers. Those that had been at
the Henry wedding had all come to work in this
area. He saw the Strikers, the Sparks, the Whites
and Eloise and Maz. Ted also noticed Tom Henry and
Billy Hendricks.
Yet the devastation was so massive it was
almost impossible to describe. Looking at it from
a newsman's perspective, Ted's mind was busy
trying to take everything in, interpret it and put
it into what would become a report.
There was danger of fire, of flood, of further
quakes and aftershocks. There were still people in
precarious positions. Aid workers were at risk as
much as present victims. That is why those living
by higher law were called in. They could do things
and cause things to happen that would be
impossible for common man.
What buildings were not in the crevice were
still in poor shape, especially those close to the
chasm. Many of them were still falling apart and
sending debris and rubble to cause harm to others.
Some were on fire, others would fall at the next
shock.
There was dust and dirt everywhere and what
wasn't dust and dirt was turned into mud from
water leakages, ruptured water lines and broken
sewer pipes. The whole area stunk with human and
animal waste as well as the smell of decaying
flesh. One might wonder how decaying flesh could
smell so soon. It was because of the intense heat
and moisture conditions. All things rotted away in
that heat. And was rapidly becoming the source for
disease to follow the already devastating effects
of the earthquake.
There was noise, chaos, screaming, crying,
terror all over the area. People had been
uprooted, lost, gone forever. Families had been
split, towns had been split in two, loved ones
lost, both young and old.
Some people were just sitting against building
walls. They were not hurt physically but it was
clear they were in a stupor, beyond their own
ability to help themselves. Devastation like this
can do that to a person. Others were walking the
streets aimlessly, not knowing where to go or what
to do. These too, were casualties.
So far there was no aid here from the outside
world, other than those who lived by higher law.
The damage was so huge it was beyond the ability
of government to comprehend. No disaster plans had
been put in place for such an emergency. Those
government officials who dared to show up were
mauled, nearly beaten for their lack of ability to
come to help the people.
First Aid centers were set up all over the
place. As the day moved on these First Aid centers
were able to come across vehicles. One by one they
began to move their people out of the area back to
more settled areas and what hospitals there were.
This quake would take weeks to clean up. Some
of it would never be cleaned. There were people
caught in spots from which their bodies could
never be extracted. While life might return to
"normal" after many months, this quake would leave
scars on the present generation that would never
leave them. And they would pass those wounds on to
their offspring.
An interesting side note is that people were
already having sex. It was as if there was an
unseen force calling upon them to propagate, to
keep the human species going. That is not uncommon
in such disasters. Such huge loss of life
immediately promotes a rush of births to follow.
"We've been here an hour and a half, Ted. It
is time to go back."
Ted Kuzik was changing. What he saw caused him
to be sick within himself concerning the petty
things he heretofore felt were important. He found
himself wanting to go help out. He found he no
longer cared about his job. There was something
much more important here.
