What famous inventor worked for years (unsuccessfully) on an
all-concrete house?
Thomas Edison. More than a hundred years ago, Edison thought
of creating an all-concrete house. He put years of work and
plenty of money into the idea, but no else seemed interested
in the concept.
Is it possible to conduct DNA tests on plants?
Just like people and animals, plants have unique DNA that
can be tested and identified. In a recent case,
investigators used DNA testing to prove that a timber cutter
had stolen two valuable trees. Logs from two black cherry
trees were matched with DNA testing to the stumps. The owner
of the trees, who had found his black cherry trees cut down
to the stumps, was reimbursed $9,000, three times the trees'
value.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
The Fast Way Is The Long Way!
An Amish boy and his father were visiting a nearby mall.
They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but
especially by two shiny silver walls that moved apart and
back together again by themselves.
The lad asked, "What is this, father?"
The father (having never seen an elevator) responded, "I
have no idea what it is."
While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old
lady in a wheelchair rolled up to the moving walls and
pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled
between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy
and his father watched as small circles lit up above the
walls.
The walls opened up again and a beautiful
twenty-four-year-old woman stepped out.
The father looked at his son anxiously and said, "Go get
your mother."
Wouldn't it be nice?
The only way I know to make this kind of thing happen in
real life is when one lives by higher law.
We are always looking for the fast way, the easy way. I
wonder, sometimes, why it is so hard for people to
understand that all functions by law, and when you know and
practice that law you can have anything you want.
We buy lottery tickets, thinking that a win would make us
happy. Whatever we do we think money is the answer. What
nonsense.
There is even the saying that "money may not make one happy,
but it sure makes misery easier to take". Anything we can
think up to justify our pursuit of money, we use.
We think that when we get money we will be able to do all
the things we dream about. You bet! And then will also have
to do a lot of things you don't dream about.
The attitudes used to acquire money are seldom useful after
the fact.
We think we need money to eat. We think we need money to
clothe ourselves, and we think we need money for shelter,
transportation and entertainment. And when life is all over,
we think we have done well. All this according to the
judgment of man.
Man works in the way he has been trained. Money keeps him in
bondage. Man seldom, or at least very few of them, sees the
way to living by higher law. Yet if he would but try he
would open up a world of beauty, plenty and joy that is
beyond his present imagination.
Man must learn the law before he can enjoy it's use. It is
available to all.
Sometimes, when going to visit someone, my wife will ask me
why we are taking this route. It is after all the longest
way around. "Yes, dear, but this freeway will get us to
where we want faster than any other way" is the response.
The Fast Way Is The Long Way!

The Relationship of Oral Health to Overall
Health and Longevity
by Tom McGuire, D.D.S.
PART 25 of 31
There are as many as 25 diseases of the body whose
early signs and symptoms can be seen in the oral
cavity. The early detection of any of these diseases
increases the possibility of successful treatment, and
may extend or even save lives. Some of the more serious
diseases that first show signs in the oral cavity,
lips, or tongue, include leukemia, hemophilia, Kaposis
sarcoma, malignant melanoma, syphilis, diabetes,
squamous cell carcinoma, myoblastoma, tuberculosis,
epilepsy, and hemangioma. My book, Tooth Fitness: Your
Guide to Healthy Teeth, includes an educational chapter
about patient oral self-examination and its importance
to dental and overall health.
Sensitivity to Dental Materials Sensitivity to dental
materials may not be a serious problem for many people.
But for those who are allergic to any one of the
hundreds of different metals, compounds, chemicals, and
products used in dentistry, these materials present a
potentially serious health hazard. If you have
allergies, regardless of their source, your health
practitioner may look at every potential source of the
allergy except for the mouth. If you he or she is
unable to track down the culprit, I recommend that you
be tested for potential allergic reaction to dental
materials. Information about this test can be found at
www.ccrlab.com, the website for Clifford Consulting and
Research.
Fluoride Although it poses a potentially serious health
hazard, the subject of fluoride is not within the scope
of this booklet. It does relate to teeth, but is not
really a dental health issue. I see it as a public
health issue, as the greatest single source of fluoride
is delivered to the individual via the municipal water
systems. Regardless of how it is delivered, fluoride is
a poison, and increasing evidence suggests it can
create, or contribute, to numerous health problems. I
also suggest asking your health professional to
evaluate you for potential fluoride toxicity when doing
a complete health assessment. This would be
particularly important if he or she cant establish a
diagnosis that fits your symptoms. Thus those with
idiopathic diseases should take this into
consideration.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

As a result, those who lived by higher law
organized what aid workers they could into teams.
There were those teams who were involved in the
quake area directly, looking for survivors. There
were those workers who provided aid once people
were found. These provided what they could in the
way of food, clothing, shelter to the wounded and
hurting. Then there were several groups whose job
it was to search out clean water supplies and
render them available to anyone who needed water.
And there were yet other groups who combed the
countryside gathering up fresh food and anything
that could be used for shelter or clothing. It was
a massive effort.
Those who lived by higher law helped out much
in these areas, ensuring fresh, clean water was
available to anyone who needed it. They were also
instrumental in providing much in the way of
clothing.
Eloise looked up as the man came up behind
her. "Have you ever seen such a mess?"
It was Mazunta who had come up to her, "No,
Bueno. This is a bad one. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine, Maz. Thanks for stopping by. It
looks like we'll be here for a while."
"I think so. I'm glad I took the kids home to
my Mother before coming here. Have you seen Tom
and Tlang?"
"No, why?"
"They're in there working hard. I was just
thinking this is some indoctrination for Tlang. I
see Mae took her aside and spoke with her on the
principles of this work. Tlang was young and full
of energy. Moreover, at the moment, she would do
anything and go anywhere with Tom. She was smitten
with the love bug.
Mae left her alone, knowing that within the
operations of higher law was a wisdom that was
beyond Tlang. That plus Tlang's early suffering
with the loss of her parents and the abuse of her
captors, led to a calm wisdom that made her much
older than she really was.
For Tlang's part, she willingly participated
in the helping out. She had a heart as big as all
outdoors and would do anything to help people.
That was her pattern at the orphanage, too.
Tom was working to release a young boy. He
could only have been six or seven. He was
frightened and crying. Tom had taken charge of
that one situation and was now making a large
chunk of wall from a building lighter and lifted
it from the boy's legs. Within minutes aid workers
were able to get the boy free. Tom said he would
take him to an aid station. That freed up the
other workers and they left to find others needing
help.
With no one around, Tom set the boy down and
looked into his eyes. "Rise up and walk" was the
command. The boy looked, listened, and did, in
complete faith. His broken and bruised legs were
rendered whole and he was fine.
In a few minutes he hears a loud and frantic
voice calling him. He looked and there was his
Mother coming running. She had been looking for
him and was terrorized that she may have lost him.
She ran to him and put her arms around him, crying
and sobbing. Her worst fears had been waylaid. Yet
the woman had lost one other child and her husband
in the disaster. She was devastated. That she
found her son in good health caused her to focus
entirely on him. She didn't even notice Tom and
Tlang.
In spite of the noise and confusion around him
Tom could hear a faint "Help". The call was coming
from underground. Tom listened and concentrated.
He knew where the voice was coming from.
He looked at Tlang. She nodded. She had heard
and had found the source as well. Within seconds
they had disappeared. They had gone underneath
much rubble. There, in the basement of a building
that had collapsed in the quake was a little girl.
She had somehow managed to get under some piled up
crates and the falling building could not reach
her. It did, however, pin her in. She was entirely
captive to the rubble. She had been screaming and
hollering for help for hours, but no one heard.
She was weak, thirsty, hungry and scared. She
could hear work going on above her but had no
sense anyone was coming for her.
Tom had sent her thoughts, "Be calm. I am on
my way. You will be safe and all will be well." He
sent them unto her with a beam of love. It
energized the girl and she was waiting patiently
for Tom to arrive.
Tom and Tlang now were inside the building and
pushing rubble, lifting it aside. Eventually
they came to the stairs and were appalled. The
stairwell was fully, impassable. Tom caused a hole
to appear in the floor. That let a rush of air
into the basement, along with much dust.
They heard the little girl coughing. Tom
immediately caused the air surrounding her to be
clean, plus he gave her light.

HA! HA! HA!
A man was walking home alone late one night when he hears a
BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... behind him.
Walking faster he looks back, and makes out the image of an
upright coffin banging its way down the middle of the street
towards him.
BUMP... BUMP... BUMP...
Terrified, the man begins to run towards his home, the
coffin bouncing quickly behind him ...
faster... faster... BUMP... BUMP... BUMP...
He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the
door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him.
However, the coffin crashes through his door, with the lid
of the coffin clapping...
clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP...
on the heels of the terrified man.
Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in.
His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is
coming in sobbing gasps.
With a loud CRASH the coffin starts breaking down the door.
Bumping and clapping towards him.
The man SCREAMS and reaches for something heavy, anything ..
his hand comes to rest on a large bottle of Robitussin.
Desperate, he throws the Robitussin as hard as he can at the
apparition... and... the coffin stops!
Because everyone know Robitussin stops the coffin!
