TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------
Are koala bears really bears?
What US president's body was exhumed 141 years after his
death to determine if he had been poisoned?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
What exactly is an echidna?
I always believed that the duckbill platypus was the ONLY
strange mammal that lays eggs, has fur, and is warm-blooded.
But the duckbill platypus has a relative. The duckbill
platypus and the echidna (also called the spiny anteater)
are the only two species in the order Monotremata. Both have
features of reptiles and mammals: they lay small leathery
eggs, have fur, are warm-blooded, and feed their young on
milk like mammals. Both are also quite unusual in
appearance. The duckbill platypus has fur, a beak like a
duck, and a tail like a beaver. The echidna resembles the
hedgehog and the porcupine in that it is covered by sharp
spines. It also has sharp claws for digging and a long,
pointy snout and an extremely long, sticky tongue for
catching ants and termites.
Where in the world can you find sea dragons?
Sea dragons DO exist, and like many other unique creatures,
they're found in Australia (or, at least, the waters
surrounding Australia). Sea dragons belong to the same
family as sea horses, but differ in appearance by possessing
leaf-like appendages on their head and body and having a
tail that cannot be coiled up. These fantastic creatures may
be tiny (around 45 centimeters long), but they really do
look like the dragons of fairy tales.

Wisdom Is Found Inside!
The scene was a tiny mountain village in a remote section of
West Virginia. An old mountaineer and his young wife were
getting a divorce in the local court. But custody of the
children was a problem.
The mother jumped to her feet and protested to the judge
that since she had brought the children into this world, she
should retain custody of them.
The old mountaineer also wanted custody of the children. The
judge asked for his side of the story and, after a long
moment of silence, the mountaineer slowly rose from his
chair and said, "Judge, when I put a quarter in a candy
machine and a candy bar comes out, does it belong to me or
the machine?"
I know the comparison is not quite the same, but the concept
of wisdom is still there.
Even in jokes it becomes apparent that the old man had to go
deep inside to find the answer he wanted. And that is the
message we so often tell - Wisdom Is Found Inside!
It is interesting that some folks will sit back and say "So
what?". Others will be saying to themselves, "I know that."
and others will pay it no mind and go to the next item of
interest. Some, however, will sit back and think about it.
Why should such a topic matter? Why need we think about it
anyway?
The answer is quite simple, really - so we can do better for
ourselves.
"So what does that mean?"
It means that the universe is run by natural laws. One who
learns those natural laws has complete control over his/her
universe. It means that you have no more money problems. It
means that you have no more relationship problems. It means
that you are in complete control of any difficulties you
face present or future. It means you are living the life of
prosperity and plenty your Maker intended for you.
It also means that wisdom is learnable. It means that if you
learn to go deep inside you will see answers to your every
question. It means that if you learn to listen (a big
problem with most of us), you will find answers that come to
you that are beyond your present experience level. It means
you are living life as it was meant to be.
While some of the "secrets" can be found discreetly hidden
in some religious literature this is not a religious task,
experience or calling. It is the straight forward knowing
that our world is run by law, as are we, and that as you
learn those laws you can exercise the talents and energies
you have heretofore left untapped.
Know this: you can learn this wisdom. You can learn to use
the laws in ways favorable to you. You can learn to enjoy
that peace, power and prosperity awaiting your decision to
do so - - - if you want.

Question About Calcium And Leg Cramps
PART 1 of 2
QUESTION: I have been having (nocturnal) leg cramps at night. I
am not exercising as much as I used to. I am wondering if it is
the type of calcium that I am taking. Is calcium citrate good
enough or what about this coral calcium and won't that be more
expensive on a daily basis? Thanks for getting back as my leg
hurts!
ANSWER: I would start with looking at the calcium you
are taking in all different forms. Then you want to calculate
the ELEMENTAL" amount and it should be around 1500 mgs. If I
didn't know where to start, I would go for the TUMS special one
and see how that works...it's not very expensive, and will give
you a very good beginning. If you are on a low salt diet, be
aware it might need adjusting. I don't know much about Coral
Calcium, except it has all sorts of other things in it. You want
to take calcium for calcium's sake: not for any other reason. If
you want to take a balanced and complete supplement, I doubt it
will be that. Again, read labels and know it's calcium you
need.... And count the "elemental" amounts. The label will tell
you. One more thing you need to think about...could you have
something wrong with your legs and are doing a "self-treatment?
Be cautious of that. It may be a blood clot waiting to dislodge.
Feel your leg.if it's warmer than the rest of the limb, check
with your doctor and check your blood pressure. A local pharmacy
has the machines. Do the same machine roughly the same time of
each day and record your results for a two-week period. The
machine will give you the normal readings, although doctors now
want you to have lower readings. I'll help you interpret the
readings for your age. (And please avoid buying these kind of
products by price alone. Reputable safe companies have to meet
regulations and standards.)

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

----------------
The expected news came quietly to Mazunta and
to Eloise. She leaned onto Maz's chest and began
to sob. Midnight was dead. Boolanga had found her
and relayed the message.
Midnight was the black panther that befriended
Eloise years ago when she was here on her first
journey with David.
Boolanga was a native who had become separated
from his canoe by the flooding river. He, too, had
befriended Eloise and David, then, eventually
Midnight the cat. When it was finally time for the
trio to leave their base camp on their way to
Boolanga's village, the cat had followed, so they
put her into the canoe and took her to the
village.
The villagers did not know what to think of a
panther in their midst, but Boolanga advised them
the cat was a friend and would help protect the
village. Over the next following days, weeks,
months, the villagers became used to Midnight in
their midst. She was made welcome.
In the years Midnight was at the village she
had and raised to independence four kittens. They
each had been chased off in their time and took
their rightful place in the rhythm of life.
Midnight had survived for twelve years.
She used to be in the village during the day and
would go out nightly on the hunt for her own food.
If she was full she would sometimes just join the
folks at the evening fire.
While she stayed with Boolanga and his family,
Midnight had a strong fondness for Eloise and her
children. It was Eloise, after all, who had first
befriended her.
During the last few years it was plain
Midnight was aging. Before Maz and Eloise left on
this visit to Tim and Sharon they had solicited
Boolanga to let them know of any occurrence with
the big cat. All in the village and certainly
Eloise expected Midnight would just walk away one
day and not return.
Midnight had come over to Eloise one day not
long ago, when Eloise had been alone. The two of
them communicated and Midnight had said good bye
at that time. Eloise had done nothing to prevent
her from leaving. The pair of them just spent the
afternoon together lying on the grass next to each
other. Eloise had set up a shield that let
everyone in the village know this was a special
time and please don't interfere.
She and Midnight communicated back and forth.
They reviewed their lives together and the things
that had happened to them. Eloise had brought
Midnight back to life when they first arrived at
the village. That was an occurrence brought on by
avarice and greed. This was different. This was
part of the rhythm of life, a kind of natural ebb
and flow. Midnight knew and Eloise knew it. Both
were sad. Eloise hugged the big cat, and the big
cat purred. She was plainly too tired for further
romping, but instead had become used to the loving
she would receive at the hands of this beloved
woman.
At the end of "their time" Midnight simply got
up and walked away without looking back. That
night she went out for her usual hunt and,
breaking pattern, had not returned by morning.
Eloise knew. Boolanga knew. David knew.
It was then Eloise asked Maz if they could go
visit Tim and Sharon. She knew Boolanga would go
looking for the big cat.
Word came quietly. Boolanga had sent the
message that he had found her. She was unharmed of
body but had simply died from age. He was going to
bring her back to the village for the people to
provide for her a proper and fitting send off.
Tim and Sharon did not say anything. They
simply remained quiet. They knew from seeing
Eloise's thoughts, what had happened. They looked
at Maz. He, too, had tears in his eyes. This was a
very sad day. He was remembering that day so long
ago when he had first met Eloise and the pair of
them had gone in search of Midnight. He had
witnessed Eloise bring Midnight back from death
after she had been hit with poison darts from the
blow gun of jealous villagers.
It was that day Maz knew this woman was
different and knew what he had been searching for
over several lifetimes. Then he found his best
friend, Boolanga, also knew this way of life. It
seemed that Maz's relationship with Eloise began
with Midnight. He would never forget that big cat.
Eloise raised her head and looked into his
eyes. She found a deep, loving compassion. He held
her close and comforted her.
"Sis," Tim asked quietly and calmly, "may
Sharon and I come to the village and share with
you in the ceremony for Midnight?"
Eloise looked, then nodded without saying
anything.

HA! HA! HA!
Two fellers were in desperate need of cash, but admittedly
were a bit cowardly. So the one suggested they break into
the Amish market. The logic being that since the Amish were
non-resistant, even if they were caught, no harm could
befall them. Thus they carried out their plot.
However, just as they were breaking into the cash register,
the owner turned on the lights and confronted them, a
shotgun pointed directly at them.
Calmly, the Amish man said, Boys, I would never do thee any
harm yet you are standing where I am about to shoot.
