rich in defensive chemicals called benzoquinones, which
prevent mosquitoes from harassing the millipedes. "We think
this is the clearest case yet" of an animal's using organic
material for medicinal purposes, Ximena Valderrama, a
graduate student in anthropology at Columbia University,
told the New York Times. "We're fortunate that the chemical
analysis leaves very little room for doubt."

Chickens Do Come Home To Roost!
The was a farmer who raised watermelons. He was doing pretty
well but he was disturbed by some local kids who would sneak
into his watermelon patch at night and eat watermelons. . .
After some careful thought he came up with a clever idea
that he thought would scare the kids away for sure. So he
made up a sign and posted it in the field. The next day the
kids showed up and they saw his sign: "Warning, one of the
watermelons in this field has been injected with cyanide."
Well the kids were bright and not about to risk another
watermelon. They ran off, made up their own sign and posted
it next to the sign that the farmer made.
The next day the farmer showed up to look over the field and
he noticed to his delight that no watermelons are missing.
He was perplexed, however, by a sign next to his. He drove
his tractor up to the sign which read: "Now there are two!"
Every once in a while a joke comes along that points out
significant truth. This is such a joke.
One of the most difficult lessons we must learn in life is
"As ye sow, so shall ye reap." As children we can see no
correlation between our actions and what happens to us. It
is somehow unrelated.
Oh! We learn fast that if you touch a hot stove you will get
burned. Yet that does not really show us that if you are
angry at someone, they will naturally be angry at you. After
all you have a right to be angry, and you fail to see where
they, too, have a right, you can't see their reasoning.
Other personal relation type situations are the same. You
like to love and be loved, but somehow you think that
natural, because you like it. You don't look at the law
behind it, you just bask in the love. But when involved in
other situations, some of which you don't like, you can't
see where you played a part in bring them upon you.
The law is "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." "The chickens you
send out are the chickens that will come home to roost."
"What goes around, comes around."
Only there is one thing you must learn, and hopefully not
the hard way. The chickens you send out, grow and multiply.
By the time they start coming home to you they are always
bigger, and there are more of them.
If you inadvertently use this law negatively, you will pay a
heavy price. If you knowledgeably use this law positively,
you can rightfully expect good things back.
One more thing. It must become a way of life. You cannot
expect to have many good things happen to you because you
did a good thing once. It must become a way of life where
you practice the law continually.

A Few Thoughts To Share On Hormones
And Their Actions

So let’s get on with hormones. Nine in fact. And any of
them, when they are out of balance, can cause all sorts
of problems. Therefore each creates a specialty area
for the medical community. Entire careers are built
around this knowledge and subsequent treatment methods.
In this article we are going to see what each hormone
is and how it relates to your everyday living. You will
learn their “area of responsibility” and what happens
to you when there is an imbalance. The easiest way to
create an orderly discussion is to start at the top of
your head and work “southward”. We’ll start with your
pineal gland; go to the pituitary, then the thyroid and
parathyroid glands, the thymus and adrenal glands, the
pancreas, and lastly the reproductive glands, your
gonads. I will include definitions as we go along. I
won’t go into much detail about health (or unhealthy)
conditions. Suffice to say they are all degenerative
conditions. And if you recall the American Medical
Association’s recommendations on the use of nutritional
supplements, you may also recall that these conditions
might well be reversible. That would require some
further research and would depend on other things, but
it could well be possible. You have to know where to
look.
Just as your skin is part of the integumentary system
and your heart is part of the cardiovascular system,
your hormones are part of the endocrine system. This
system has two parts: 1) glands and organs and 2) the
hormones that are created and secreted by them. The
function of the hormones, which is a chemical, is to
regulate your body. It all sounds so simple, yet it’s a
vastly complex scenario. However each gland is assigned
a job and it does it automatically. It “pulls out” of
the blood stream all the ingredients it requires to
manufacturers the appropriate hormone, and then
releases it back into the blood stream for delivery to
the “targeted area”. Simple, very practical, effective,
and it works. But you KNOW that there is so much more
to this process! This is a complete oversimplification,
but in essence, that is what happens.

Our title story today is a subject you see me write about
often. My reason for doing so is that as I look around I see
people reacting to circumstances as if they didn't have a
clue about this law.
They should not be reacting. They should be still, determine
what the best course of action is for everyone involved and
than be proactive to the benefit of all.
To react emotionally to any situation will usually end up as
a negative pressure on the law. The law requires clear
thinking and that means you have to be free of emotional
input at that moment.
"But that's hard!" you say. Maybe, but you have to decide
what chickens you want coming home to roost. It is up to you
to conduct your life to bring about the results you want.
That rarely allows for decisions to be made with emotions.
Only clear thinking will bring about the course of action
you want.
Further, meditation - that is to say being still of body and
of mind, on a regular basis, will undoubtedly show you the
way to your objective earlier than any other way.
As you are still, listen to see how you can communicate with
your Maker. Once that communication is established you shall
forever have peace and prosperity.
