Guilt Will Get You!
A Pennsylvania State Trooper pulled a car over on I-81
about 2 miles north of the PA/MD state line. When the
Trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the
driver answered that he was a magician and a juggler
and he was on his way to Harrisburg to do a show
that night at the Zembo Shrine Circus and didn't
want to be late.
The Trooper told the driver he was fascinated by
juggling, and if the driver would do a little juggling
for him that he wouldn't give him a ticket.
The driver told the Trooper that he had sent all of
his equipment on ahead and didn't have anything
to juggle. The Trooper told him that he had some
flares in the trunk of his patrol car and asked if he
could juggle them. The juggler stated that he could,
so the Trooper got three flares, lit them and handed
them to the juggler.
While the man was doing his juggling act, a car
pulled in behind the patrol car, a drunk got out and
watched the performance briefly, he then went over
to the patrol car, opened the rear door and got in.
The Trooper observed him doing this and went over
to the patrol car, opened the door and asked the
drunk what he thought he was doing.
The drunk replied, "You might as well take me to jail,
cause there's no way I can pass that test."
For most of us our guilt catches up to us in far more
subtle ways, yet, depend on it, guilt will catch you.
That is why con-artists are so dangerous. They experience
no feelings of guilt and because of that they think straight,
keeping their cause in mind always, when dealing with
people.
Ordinary people have feelings of guilt when they are doing
things that they think is incorrect. And, if they get away with
what they are doing, will still get caught sooner or later by
their own guilt.
I bet you're wondering where I'm going with this? It is just
this; it is far better to keep things straight, on the up and up
so to speak, than to do things slightly askew and run the
risk of your guilt finding you out.
It goes back to the old law, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap." It
is far better to sow good seeds to thrive and prosper, than
it is to sow questionable or bad seeds and watch what
they bring up.
Don't think here, that I am on any religious kick. I am directly
concerned about how the law will treat you. Your chickens
will come home to roost one way or the other. The question
is what kind of chickens do you want coming home.

Your body is always trying to rebalance itself. In
order to handle an extra "sugar" load, it needs to
produce more insulin. There are two (amongst many)
challenges here. One involves the continual production
of the body's adequate supply of insulin. At some point
it can't do it any longer. Or the production is very
slow and you end up with excess sugar in the blood
stream. That leads to the next problem. Research is now
showing that this excess is causing oxidative stress
and irritation of the blood vessel walls. That is not
healthy. Insulin lowers blood sugar. It is essentially
your "storage hormone" as it drives the extra sugar
into the cell to be utilized or stored as fat. It is
this storage load that the glucagon will use when your
blood sugar is too low.
If your blood glucose levels rise for a prolonged
period of time, kidney failure, blindness, and
hardening of the arteries can result. This is
hyperglycemia. If one’s blood sugar drops to very low
levels, coma, seizure, or even death may occur.
Therefore, our bodies have this very sophisticated
hormonal system that is continuously working to
maintain blood sugar levels between 80 mg/dL and 180
mg/dL.

That seems to be the issue as between Paramount and Tom
Cruise. Each is claiming it was a long term plan anyway. Now
it is merely escalated into the here and now.
Earlier reports seemed to indicate that all the Hollywood
studios were going to tighten their belts regarding their
relationships with celebrities. Cruise was named then and
today it seems the deed is done.
Now they must all play the game of "saving face" and spin
the truth to suit their needs. Don't you find it strange why
man can't simply tell the truth? What kind of a game is
this? Is everyone afraid they will lose money and therefor
must create the illusion of being the guy in the right? Or
is it a deeper self image thing?
Whatever the cause I see this same thing practiced by our
governments all the time. Thus far Bush has been caught
fabricating a lie concerning his attack on Iraq. Ostensibly
he went in there to seek and destroy weapons of mass
destruction. Yet, to this day, they have found none. Oh
well, we're here now, we might as well set up a new
government.
That weapons of mass destruction thing I find interesting.
The whole world is acting as if they now never existed. Yet
Saddam had stockpiles of virtually non destructible chemical
products. Where did they go? Why is there not more news and
questions about weapons of mass destruction? What did Saddam
do with all the supplies? How is it that the UN inspection
teams found lots but now, suddenly, there is none?
This one will come back to haunt us folks. There are
insufficient answers. It seems as if there is a cover up
globally and not by Saddam alone. Even the press is part of
it. They have lost all interest in finding any more
information, or they have been told to back off?
It's the old western all over again. The crooks have set
fire to the church to get our attention while they go rob
the bank.
Ahh! The ways of man. All is deceitful. One can hardly trust
anyone or anything any more. And even if we find something
we can trust we have become so jaded we don't even recognize
it when we see it. Not a way to promote peace, is it?
Peace is the exclusive domain of each individual. Each has
the responsibility to choose it and work on maintaining it.
Peace is not up to governments - it is up to the individual.
Only those who are prepared to look honestly at all
sides of a situation have a chance at peace. Only those who
are prepared to stand alone will have a chance at their
Maker's peace and prosperity. Is that you?
Peace and prosperity can be yours right where you are if
that ever becomes a desire. That is what the story The Saga
