Are tumbleweeds actually plants?
Tumbleweeds ARE plants. They start the summer as
densely-branched, globe-shaped shrubs with spiny green
leaves. In the fall, they dry out, turn brown, then break
off at the stem and go tumbling! If you live in the western
US, you might see them spinning and tumbling over
the highway.
Where in the world can you find the most tigers?
Texas. According to a People Magazine article, Texas
in the United States may have more tigers than India.
Tigers, of course, are not native to Texas, but as many as
4,000 of the big cats are owned by Texans as "pets." It is
estimated that only 3,000 tigers, mostly wild, roam India.
Texas is one of a handful of states with no laws on the
keeping and breeding of big cats. A bill that would
regulate ownership of dangerous big cats may soon
become law.

A Merry Christmas Wish!

A man was sitting alone in his office one night when a genie
popped up out of his ashtray. "And what will your third wish be?"
The man looked at the genie and said, "Huh? How can I be
getting a third wish when I haven't had a first or second
wish yet?"
"You have had two wishes already," the genie said, "but your
second wish was for me to put everything back the way it was
before you made your first wish. Thus, you remember nothing,
because everything is the way it was before you made any
wishes. You now have one wish left."
"Okay," said the man, "I don't believe this, but I've always wanted
to understand women. I'd love to know what's going on inside
their heads."
"Funny," said the genie as it granted his wish and disappeared
forever, "That was your first wish, too!"
WOW! One has to be careful about what one wishes, if you are
dealing with a genie.
I am conscious at this time of year about the wishing everyone
a Merry Christmas.
It is a thing we all do and I am sure the majority of us have a
warm and good feeling in our hearts when we wish upon
someone a Merry Christmas.
Yet it becomes somewhat habitual, too. That is we utter the
words without thinking, without feeling. Sometimes we wish
someone a Merry Christmas only because we think it is
expected of us.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I don't want it to be the
trite, empty words, because it is expected. I want you to know
at a deeply personal level I sincerely wish you and your
family a wonderful Christmas.
I want you to feel the blessings I send to you. I want you to
know it is my deep and abiding wish you have not only a
Merry Christmas but a Christmas that heals old wounds,
that brings new friends, that develops within your mind
and heart a new realization of who and what you are.
You have patiently listened to my "speeches" all year long
about going inside to find the real you, on learning truth, on
seeing you are much more than you think.
You see, I believe in you. I believe that next year you will be
bigger and better than you were yesterday. I believe that within
your heart and mind beats a giant just waiting to express
fully who you are.
Most of you have no idea how rich you make my life. You have
supported the Pebble for years and it is growing in both size
and circulation. We have a unique situation here because we
are ruthless in filtering out our subscribers. Our list is comprised
of only the true supporters, and that list is growing rapidly.
This last year, in October, we began putting the Pebble online.
That was not so much that we wanted you to go there to read it.
It was done because this year seems to have been the year of
the spam filter. So many of you missed out on the Pebble
because your internet service put in spam filters and decided
the Pebble was spam.
At least we were able to get a lot of it corrected, yet I was
amazed, and humbled, by the number of you who wrote,
concerned because you did not get your current copy.
Another thing that humbled me last year was the steadfast
service of our writers. Karin Henderson is a very busy
woman, yet she finds the time to write our Medical Column.
She is truly an amazing and wonderful woman. Thanks
Karin. Have a good Christmas.
Patsy Norlie is another, who in spite of her own medical
difficulties, has kept us updated with Computer Tips. All
our best Patsy, and may good health and personal
happiness follow you throughout this next year.
Rhoberta Schaler, and her staff, have been terrifically
supportive of the Pebble and have always been there with
her timely and positive articles. Thank you Rhoberta and
many thanks to Kera McHugh who has diligently made
considerable efforts to have your articles here.
Then there is John Colanzi, who joined us as a regular
about mid year. John's articles appear every Monday and
he writes on material that is very helpful to our readers.
John, thank you. We appreciate your work and it is our
wish you have a joyous Christmas.
And unto each one of you, personally, I want to wish
you three things, not like the genie offered above, but
from me to you.
I wish you Peace, the peace that passeth all understanding.
I wish you Love, the love that comes from deep inside
your own self.
I wish you Prosperity, which includes happiness,
enjoyment and the means to accomplish all things in
life you want.
These thing I wish upon you with my blessings for a

You can delete all files with a certain parameter easily
using the Search/Find tool. For example, if you want to
delete all files that have to do with your last project,
and then use the Find/Search tool to find all documents
that have certain keywords,that you used in your document
and simply delete them from here.

No one could see her physical limitations and these
were causing her a lot of problems. (When you are so
dizzy and your world is spinning out of control, you really
can't think clearly about fixing dinner for a farming crew!)
So we talked for well over an hour. She told me all about
her vertigo and ear pressure. We spoke about her lifestyle
as a very busy farmwife. We spoke about her foods and
how she had really changed everything till she felt she
ate a very healthy diet. As her symptoms were situated
in her head (physically: not psychologically), we
discussed things that could get into her nose, mouth,
lungs or throat. And even her eyes. It was at this point
that she casually mentioned her sore throat and the
choking incidents and the lump that always seems to
be there. Could this have any connection to her
dizziness? I don't know, but what if… And why not?
All parts of the body are connected. And the body strives
for balance. In order to balance, the different systems,
one borrows from another…till all are depleted until or
unless the different elements are restored. Picture a
swimming pool with a hot tub at one end. They have
separate function, but are connected. It's easy to heat
the small "space" of the hot tub but there will always
be a little spillover of heat around the edges. And the
same goes for the amount of the water levels. Both
will equalize themselves. It's a law of nature.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"Yes, Missy Henry. She taught my Boolanga, too. I feel
much safer now he lives by higher law. He is also much
more attentive as a man, a husband, a father. Missy has
done much good in this village. We love her
dearly." said Karmuz.
"Stop talking about me you two. It is I who is the most
fortunate and I appreciate the villagers for all they have done
for me, especially yesterday. Ooooops!" said Eloise. She
looked at her breasts and they had begun to leak fluid, the
first sign her milk was coming in. "Should I wake that little
girl up and feed her?" she asked.
"Fear not Missy. That is normal. Your milk is coming in and
when little Alli wakes up she can have some good food.
All is working well." answered Karmuz.
Sure enough, within the hour the baby awoke and was
hungry. Eloise put the child to her breast. The first time was
a little clumsy for both of them, for this was a new experience
for each. Learn quickly they did, and the natural process of
a Mother giving her child the food and energy of strength,
power and protection, was underway.
Mazunta came in. "Oh, my!" he exclaimed. "Now that is a
beautiful sight. I see Mom and baby are doing very well. I
think this is no place for a man." he turned and was about
to leave when Eloise called.
"Hey Mister, come on back here. It may not be a place for a
man but it is a place for a Father. Come say hi to your little
girl and her Mother." said Eloise.
The two women in attendance looked at one another and
smiled. They left.
Mazunta sat on the bed beside his two girls. His heart was
full and throbbing with love for each of them. He reached
over to stroke the child's head as she fed at her
Mother's breast.
"Isn't she beautiful, Maz? I think she is the most wonderful
little girl I have ever seen."
"I think you are a little bit prejudiced, Bueno. I'll bet you
think she is smart too." he smiled upon her.
She was so irresistible he leaned over and gave her a kiss.
They had not kissed in a long time, at least not since this
childbirth process had begun. It was different now. Where,
before, their kisses seemed to lead to fondling and making
love, somehow this was just filled with love and respect
for one another.
"Karmuz tells me you had a late night last night." said Eloise.
"Bueno, they would not let me go. I was concerned they
would keep you awake, and I was concerned that I would
be here for you today. I hope you had a good night last
night." he responded.
"I did, and you guys didn't keep me awake for one
second." she moved the baby to her other breast and they
continued their talk.
"The village is very pleased with you and I having a family.
I see your Dad and Mom are very proud. My Mom and
Dad are too." he said.
"That is good. I am pleased. I think they will like little Alli
when little Alli is a little bigger Alli. " she laughed.
"I think so. She is so small and I'm afraid to put these big
hands around her." answered Mazunta.
Eloise laughed. "Maz. Children are far tougher than they
look. They can survive a lot if they have food and water.
Don't be afraid."
The baby had finished eating and Eloise now handed her
to her Father. Mazunta was a little clumsy at first. This
whole thing was a first for him, too.
Soon the curtains to the doorway were opened and in
came Karmuz again.
"Stand Missy. Walk!" she commanded.
She made Eloise walk up and down past the bed and back.
When Eloise was moving in a way that satisfied Karmuz
she was told she could go home.
She and Maz packed up the baby and began to walk
over to their place.
