Does London Bridge still exist?
London Bridge is alive and well...in Arizona. In 1962,
London Bridge was (again!) falling down, this time on its
own. It couldn't handle the increasing flow of traffic across
the Thames. So the British government decided to put the
bridge up for sale. Robert McCulloch, Founder of Lake
Havasu City, Arizona, submitted the winning bid of
$2,460,000.
How did they move the bridge to Arizona?
London Bridge was dismantled, and each stone was
carefully marked before being shipped 10,000 miles to
Long Beach, California, and then trucked to Lake Havasu City.
Reconstruction began on September 23, 1968, with a ceremony
including the Lord Mayor of London, who laid the cornerstone.
On October 10, 1971, the bridge was dedicated.

Keep Your Word!

It was the day after Christmas. The pastor of a church was
looking over their Nativity scene when he noticed the baby
Jesus was missing from among the figures.
Immediately he turned and went outside and saw a little
boy with a red wagon, and in the wagon was the figure of
the little infant, Jesus.
So he walked up to the boy and said, "Well, where did you
get Him, my fine friend?"
The little boy replied, "I got him from the church."
"And why did you take him?"
The boy said, "Well, about a week before Christmas,
I prayed to the little Lord Jesus and I told him if he would
bring me a red wagon for Christmas, I would give him a
ride around the block in it."
The young man in this joke has stumbled upon, and,
thankfully, acted upon, one of life's most profound
lessons - - - keeping your word.
If you look at that matter from the external perspective
only it is very important one keeps their word. Once you
gain a reputation for doing so you become one who is
trusted and worth dealing with.
However, the area where keeping your word is infinitely
more important is within your own mind. The act of doing
what you promised you would has the effect of telling your
mind that is the kind of person you are. It is the
success pattern.
Once you develop the habit of doing what you say, your
mind knows it and works behind the scenes on your behalf.
Therefor if you say you are going to go out and earn
a six figure income, you have the advantage of a brain
that knows you are going to do it. After all it has long years
of experience watching you do as you said you would.
Contrast that with someone who says they will do
something then never follow through. Imagine what must
be going on within the deep recesses of that persons
mind. I can hear it now, "Oh yeah! Here we go again. More
promises that never get done. I guess we won't have to
worry about going to work for this one either!"
So, ask yourself, if your mind had a personality of it's own,
which, by the way, it does, would you like it to have the
first level of thinking or would you rather it think like the
second method?
You see, the choice is yours. You can feed your mind
anything you want and it will act according to how you
have trained it.
Don't you think, then, that it is vital that you - - - -

Your research information is just like any other research
for a school project.

Use the Medline link for conditions and drug side
effects or possible complications. It's a government
site and most doctors believe the information. Check
out your prescription drugs or even the over the counter
(OTC) products. I would check them out first. I used to
send people to their druggists first, but lately they too
are very busy and don't really want to answer all these
questions. I find people are sent to the Internet to do
their own research!!! You also want to check out anything
you are putting into your mouth and thus body. A while
ago I wrote an article about possible triggers for certain
symptoms. These could be dental work and mold, or
cleaning products, or many other things. We live in a
world filled with chemicals, preservatives, and toxins.
But we demand them as they make our lives easier.
We are beginning to learn that there is a cost attached . . .
our health. One of the challenges your doctor may
have is believing that our environment is connected
to your health. And they may also not have the time
to really study the concept. So now you come along
and ask them to connect all the symptoms. It's the same
as twenty years ago, when we had no idea that diet
and heart disease or cholesterol could be connected,
and it took the medical community a long time to accept
this as truth. They tend to seek out double blind studies
and these are very costly and take a long time. In the
meantime you are not getting any better. And your
research tells you that the answer is at your fingertips.
So be understanding of their cautiousness and their
need to learn this their way. You can't force anyone to
see what you see. And understand that they are very
busy. Realize you are the most important person to
yourself. But your doctor has hundreds and maybe
even thousands just like you. Their appointments are
usually in ten-minute increments. That doesn't give
you much time to present your case . . . Alone try to
have them see it from your point of research.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

When you live by higher law things can be done swiftly.
Yet, if you are going to involve others it takes time for them
to adjust, plan and participate.
Riata knew the kids would love to be a part of the wedding,
but they, too, had to plan how they could control the crowds
to give the wedding party access. They would be excited.
Additionally, if they were going to invite many of the people
Eloise and Mazunta had at their wedding, they would have
to visit and extend the invitation to all those people.
So there was a lot to do.
The family set up a division of labor and all began to work
on their part of it.
The idea was that the wedding would take place in a couple
months, at the orphanage, and preparations would be under
way as soon as possible.
Riata went to the orphanage to tell the kids. Just as she
expected they were excited about the event.
Maria Sanchez, the reporter was present and she, too,
became excited. She was excited from several points of
view. Not only was she allowed to participate, which she
considered a privilege, but she would be the only reporter
there.
The event, like most things concerning higher law, would
have no big buildup. It would simply occur on the
chosen day, and would be over. Maria alone would have
the story from beginning to end.
She watched as the kids and Riata talked on the subject.
Maria extended her ideas on crowd control, timing, access,
where the wedding would occur, for example, not in front
of the shrine, but beside it, facing the interior of the
orphanage.
She suggested the wedding guests be allowed to partake
of the never ending food, and that so soon as the wedding
was complete, they would turn and leave in an orderly
fashion, thereby allowing the crowds access to the shrine
once more.
The kids thought this was great, and without Riata having
to say anything further, they took the matter in hand and
began allocating tasks to each. They would be ready.
Maria only sat and watched. These children were amazing.
They knew exactly what had to be done, and who would
be doing it. They not only accepted the idea they embraced
and embellished it with many of their own ideas.
Back at home, Oomano and Romano, decided they would
attend upon city hall the following day. There they would
get their marriage license and also be able to speak with
officials about who they would use as a Justice of the Peace,
or other acceptable official who could legally, according to
man's laws, perform the ceremony.
Abetta was thinking of the cooking, and preparing of the
food and beverages for the crowd that would be at her
place for the event. She was excited about this whole affair.
Miguele, was not involved in the planning so much as
knowing he would be the cab driver/ delivery person. It
would be his job to run around and pick up everything that
would be needed and to ensure, along with Romano, that
the place would be decorated up for the wedding.
All in all the family had it organized pretty well. It was just
the way Oomano wanted it and she, too, was becoming
excited.
"I want to go see Missy El." she told Romano, "I think it
would be good for us. We can learn all we need from her
and Mazunta. Why don't we go there tomorrow after we
are done at city hall?"
"That would be good. I have never been to her village. I
would like that." Romano answered.
"Then, when we finish there we will have to go to
Pinehill to see her folks and the guests from there, plus
we will have to go over to Sonora's and talk with her
and her folks. This is going to be nice. I hope they will
all be able to come." she said.
"I am sure they will all come, my sweet. They all love you
and all will work out just fine." Romano reassured her.
The children in the household were excited, too. They
were made a part of all the planning, the discussions and
were kept up to date with all that was going on. They were
made to feel a part of the whole process. This was typical
of the way the family treated all their members. The kids
were given the job of ensuring the yard was clean and ready
for guests, and that all garbage was picked up from the front
street. Then when that was done they could help Romano
and Miguele decorate the house and yard. Romano, of
course, as was his way, would help them clean up the yard.
He like working with these kids, and they like him.

Gee, I love holidays. Not only did this Christmas give us some
wonderful times with out family, but, here and there, it gave
me time to do some thinking and begin the procedure of
getting ready for the next year. This is the time of year I sit
down and start to ask myself what I want out of the next year.
It is a practice I recommend to all. It is always better to
plan and work to an objective than it is to just let the
year happen.
