ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
What is a sea cucumber?
Unlike land cucumbers, the sea cucumber is not a plant.
It's a cylinder-shaped invertebrate animal that lives in
seas all over the world.
Is it true that a mysterious dome has been found in
Yellowstone Lake?
Yellowstone Lake, part of Yellowstone National Park, is
indeed home to a mysterious dome 2,100 feet across and
100 feet high. The dome is at the bottom of Yellowstone Lake,
which is a pretty deep lake. The lake is 320 feet at its
deepest point and has an average depth of 140 feet.

TITLE ARTICLE - - -
-----------------
Our Perception Determines
Our Experience
by Greg Reid
Not long ago, I traveled back east to Ohio and Chicago. While I
was there, I was amazed that the friends I made along my journey
seemed to have completely different observations of the state in
which they lived.
For example, when I asked what the winters were like in their
town, I got completely opposite answers from people, depending on
where they originally lived. When I asked the question of a
former Californian, she talked as if she?d landed in Siberia,
recounting the snowfall and treacherous conditions meant for only
the wildest of beasts. When I asked the same question of a native
resident, he painted a beautiful picture of the changing seasons,
each more spectacular than the last, and recounted wonderful
memories of having the fortune to grow up in such a picturesque
land.
What?s the difference here?
Their perception dictated their experience.
It?s like the old stories about a bank robbery. The event could
take place in broad daylight, with 30 eyewitnesses, yet each
gives a completely different account of what he or she saw
happen. It?s like when someone in your office or home says
something to you, and you receive a different message than the
person intended.
Why does this happen?
I believe it?s because
Our perception determines our experience.
It works like this. I bet at one time or another we?ve all gone
into a grocery store and noticed that everyone seemed happy,
helpful, and cheery that day. Even the people in the checkout
line were full of good spirits. Yet, when we?ve gone another day,
we?ve had a completely different experience. We found people to
be grumpy and in a bad mood?every one of them.
I believe we view our outside world the same way we see ourselves
in our inside world. That?s why many people continually attract
drama into their lives while others do not, or why some people
get into fights all the time while others refuse to let the same
situation get the best of them.
If this is true, it explains a lot. It could be why, when we feel
out of place and chaotic on the inside, we tend to attract more
chaos and drama to our outside self. If we feel anger and
resentment on the inside, we will, in turn, attract it to our
outer world as well.
With that said, let me ask you the following question:
How?s your outside world looking lately? Are the people around
you happy and productive? Are they full of life and passion, or
do you find yourself in your own little tornado that seems to
constantly bring nothing but negative energy your way? In other
words, does it seem like everyone around you has problems and can
never catch a so-called break?
Remember, in life you have choices. You have the choice to work
on your inner self, to create a brighter outer self. Have you
ever seen someone who?s lost some weight and noticed that they
seem to have a new glow? Or looked into someone?s eyes just after
their first child was born? There?s a spark there, right?
Well, here?s the good news. You have the ability to re-spark
yourself.
Here?s this month?s challenge: Take notice.
That?s it. I?m not asking you to do anything but become aware of
how you?re viewing things around you.
By doing so, you?ll find that when you?re at your happiest,
everyone else around you will be as well. On the flip side, if
you want to know why the world seems to be crashing in on you,
look inside and see what?s out of place, and then take action to
repair it.
It?s that simple.
Because when it?s all said and done,
Our perception determines our experience.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
PART 5 of 8
Signs of Diabetes
QUESTION: In reviewing your article on warning signs of
diabetes, I am experiencing at least nine of those symptoms.
The latest symptom is that my vision is getting very blurred and
I am able not to focus as good anymore.
ANSWER: The very first thing you must do is seek medical
help from someone who will give you a complete check up.
Having that many signs of a degenerative condition is very
serious. Get some help now and know this could all be reversible
once it is under control. Go back and get the JAMA information
mentioned previously. So there is lots of hope, but you can't wait
for things to get better. At some point total reversal of symptoms
would likely not happen. It all depends on the degree of harm
already done.
But diabetes is nothing to fool around with! It's a very
unpleasant condition with lots of complications, including
blindness. So I beg of you... get some medical help NOW!

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Most often too, after an extended question and
answer period one or more of the children would
ask the ladies to come and look after their Mother
or their Father, or a brother or sister who could
not come because of injury.
Always Mae and Susan would go. Always they
would heal and make whole those who were infirm.
This day was no exception. And as was also a
usual event there were adults coming down the road
calling to the children, telling them to get home
and leave these strangers alone.
Mae and Susan rose and held up their hands
unto the adults, signifying it was all right and
that the children were welcome.
They began to walk back into the village. One
child took Mae's hand and pulled her into a hut of
grass. There, lying on a grass mat was a man with
a badly deformed foot and a mangled hand. Mae
broadcast love and directed it toward the man. He
groaned. He knew he was in the presence of someone
special and he did not feel worthy. He thought he
should not have the blessings of this person. He
felt he had sinned to the point where his
misshapen body was the result thereof. That is
what his local Shamans had taught him. He now
cowered before Mae.
"Be still. Your sins are forgiven. Your Maker
loves you and you shall be made whole." The words
fell upon the man and he cried. He was not worthy,
yet this was happening unto him. Slowly he found
his foot and his hand becoming normal. His pain
wracked body straightened and he had full
movement. He rose and for the first time in 20
years he was able to walk and work.
He stepped outside and danced with glee. He
shouted unto the village and they came running.
Others in the village, seeing what had
happened, now cowered before the two ladies.
Mae held up her hands, palms toward the
villagers. "Fear not. We come not to control you
but to give you peace and love. Show us your sick
and your wounded and we shall make them whole and
then leave, that you may continue your daily
work."
Some stayed and went to show Mae and Susan
those who needed help. One by one they were healed
and made whole.
There was a rumbling afoot. Mae and Susan were
aware of it. It had happened before. A group of
angry men were gathering behind the crowd in front
of Mae and Sue.
They hollered. They had weapons in their hands
and raised them. The crowd of onlookers rapidly
dispersed. The men were angry because there were
devils in their midst. The things the two ladies
had done were not right according to their
God. These two devils had to be slain.
The men rushed at them, but the ladies had
vanished. They had rendered themselves invisible
and had walked away from where they had been. By
the time the men were rushing the ladies were not
there. There was confusion and some of the men got
hurt, what with all the weapons at the ready. The
rush went right past where the ladies had been.
Some of the front men stumbled and the rest
fell upon them.
There was much yelling and confusion. A few of
the men sustained open wounds and were bleeding
but there was nothing too serious.
Mae and Susan kept themselves invisible until
they were out of sight of the village. They had no
cause to further aggravate the situation.
The two ladies would be talked about for years
to come. The village, after all, had examples
among them who could now walk and participate in
village affairs.
This kind of thing happened from time to time
as the ladies continued their journey. It did not
always happen. Many villages welcomed them and did
not want them to leave. It was usually those
villages that were on main roads that were the
ones to welcome them. Those villages that were off
the beaten track and somewhat isolated were the
ones who, most often, would be afraid. Those
villages who were exposed to more of what was
going on in the world were usually more open
minded and therefore more accepting of new things.
The ladies continued their walking, always
heading north and west. They would find a place by
the side of the road to stay at nights and the
following day continue their walk. This pattern
went on for nearly four weeks without any major
incident or change in their environment.
They did notice, however, that the days were
not as hot and the nights were getting cooler. The
trees and other vegetation were not so lush and
were changing to different trees and plants. The
further north they went the more evident these
things were.
Soon they approached an escarpment that looked
as if it were a natural wall. It ran as far as
they could see in both directions perpendicular to
their main direction. The cliffs must have been
three hundred feet or more high. From where the
ladies stood they could see the road continue to
the base of the cliffs and then they could see
where it had been carved out of the cliffs as it
rose, turned back, rose, turned and finally
disappeared over the top.

HA! HA! HA!
John was a clerk in a small drugstore but he was not much of a
salesman. He could never find the item the customer wanted. Bob,
the owner, had had about enough and warned John that the next
sale he missed would be his last.
Just then a man came in coughing and he ask John for their best
cough syrup. Try as he might John could not find the cough syrup.
Remembering Bob's warning he sold the man a box of laxatives and
told him to take it all at once. The customer did as John said
and then walked outside and leaned against a lamp post.
Bob had seen the whole thing and came over to ask John what had
transpired.
"He wanted something for his cough but I couldn't find the cough
syrup. I substituted laxatives and told him to take it all at
once," John explained.
"Laxatives won't cure a cough!" Bob shouted angrily.
"Sure it will," John said, pointing at the man leaning on the
lamp post. "Look at him. He's afraid to cough."
