React With The Faith Of A Child
A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the
weather that morning was questionable and clouds
were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary
school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped
up, along with thunder and lightning.
The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter
would be frightened as she walked home from school
and she herself feared the electrical storm might harm
her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like
a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern,
the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the
route to her child's school. As she did so, she saw her
little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning,
the child would stop, look up and smile Another and
another were to follow quickly and with each the little
girl would look at the streak of light and smile. When
the mother's car drew up beside the child she lowered
the window and called to her, "What are you doing? Why
do you keep stopping?"
The child answered, "I am trying to look pretty, God
keeps taking my picture!"
Oh! My! This little girls does not know how close to the
truth she is. She has sound reason not to be frightened
of the storm for all things in her Maker's world work for
good toward all men.
Yes, I know that hurricanes do damage, floods do
damage as do other natural elements. Yet I also know
man lives too many times in areas where he knows he
should not. I am quite sure hurricanes and flooded
rivers were here for countless millennia before we were
and will likely remain so. It then is up to man to adapt
or get out of the way.
This little girl, having the faith of a child, has interpreted
the storm in ways that maybe we should all think about.
She was looking for and found the good within the storm.
Fear was not her reaction, love was.
And as we react with love toward all things you will learn
we actually become a part of all things, which is a truth
our Maker wants us to learn.

Back to the pain/pleasure marketing strategy. Know that this is
perfectly reasonable... till it hits your body.
For many people these side effects are not a serious problem.
However you are introducing another chemical into your body.
This is not part of the body's original composition and the body
has ways of getting rid of things it doesn't like or reacting to
things it can't get rid of. I want to digress here a moment. Having
a chemical element change something in your body is no
different than having surgery to change something. And as
with any chemical, in which there might be side effects, so it
is with surgery. (And do consider the anesthetic as another
chemical.) In a drug situation you would want to check out
any possible side effects. How? You would ask to see literature,
studies, and ask the pharmacist. And in a proposed surgery,
you would ask to see the consent form. It has to list all possible
complications or side effects. That is to cover the liability aspect.
So read this form very carefully consider all the side effects and
decide if you can live with the worst possible scenario. These
side effects are mentioned because they have occurred and
can occur, hopefully not to you, but it is possible. And if you can't
live with them, ask your doctor for some alternative treatments.
This, as I say endlessly, is YOUR body: not your doctor's. You
will be faced with the challenges. They will be completely
empathetic, but not personally involved. This will and must
be your decision: not your medical team's. They will give you
expert advice, but in the end you sign the form on your behalf.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.

"Oh! Look at that!" Mae was pointing to a
church in Pinehill. In the church was Sharon
Smithson telling her story to a group of adults.
They were in the main part of the church and
Sharon was standing up at the front.
It seems she had confided in her minister and
he asked that she tell her story to the
congregation. This she was doing. She spoke of
traveling with Tim Henry. She said that she knew
it couldn't be real so it must have been some kind
of mind control he was playing on her. She spoke
of eating at the Henry's. She said the food just
appeared from nowhere, and everybody had a
different dish. She noted she did not understand
it but since that was impossible she wondered if
the Henry's were all playing mind games on her.
Then she spoke of being at the Henry's when
the former police chief was there as was the
former minister of this church, Mr. White. She
said they had just gathered there after their work
at the disaster downtown was completed. She told
the audience that they had been watching
television reporting on the day.
In all Sharon Smithson said a lot of things
but gave the spin she knew the audience wanted to
hear.
There was murmuring throughout the church.
Mae, Sien and Susan well knew what was coming
next. Sure enough, when Sharon was done the
minister took to the pulpit and blasted forth a
harangue that noted the Henrys and all that were
like them were of the devil. No act they had done,
even if it appeared to be good for people was of
God. It was all a sly, evil trick to convert the
minds of innocent God fearing folk. "Pay no
attention to these people lest you also be tricked
into devilish ways. There is no room in this
church for those who think like that..."
Suddenly he seemed powerless. His words became
empty and confused. He couldn't think straight.
Hovering at the front of the church about six
or seven feet above the floor was Tim Henry. He
caused a light to shine all around him so as to
appear as if it were a halo.
The congregation was aghast and shocked.
He lowered himself to the floor. "Think ye
this is of Satan? Would you rather follow this man
who spits untruths from this pulpit or would you
rather follow the man you cunningly purport to
worship but whom you do not follow? Whose words do
you think truth, this man's? Or those of Jesus? If
you were to pick one of them which would you
choose as the one who told you truth? This man
says to follow Jesus yet he does not. He says to
be kind and loving like Jesus, but don't believe
what Jesus said at the Sermon on the Mount. He
says Jesus was speaking to a highly specialized
group of people there and that those words are not
for your ears. He cannot explain why they were put
in the bible but they are not for your ears. What
this man spouts from this pulpit is blasphemous.
He and his organization wish to control what you
do and be certain he will make it a sin for you if
you do not contribute as much money to this church
as you can. In fact he has suggested to many of
you that you aren't giving enough. I say to you
use the mind your Maker has given you. Think
things through. Decide, if you must follow any
man, what man that shall be, this man or Jesus. If
you choose to follow Jesus then read what he told
you to do and do it."
Tim's words fell on the audience like a cloak
of love and blessing. They were not harsh. Every
word found it's way into every cell and every
fibre of their beings. There was no doubt in the
minds of the congregation when he had finished.
Then it happened.
With a loud crash as if it were thunder there
was another in the room, hovering above Tim, as
Tim had earlier.
Mae, Susan and Sien watched from their
positions high above Pinehill as Jesus instructed
the congregation at the church. "Fear not. I am
come to bring you truth, not to lead, not to rule,
not to give you peace or prosperity. You have
followed the doctrines of this church to a point
where you are now sheep. You could easily be led
by this man any way he wants you to go. Yet you
think I am dead. You say you worship me yet you do
not do as I told you to do. You believe it is not
possible for you to be like me yet so long ago I
told you so. You have chosen not to believe
me but this man instead. Many times I have come
unto you and you have rejected me. Many times you
have steadfastly clung to the teachings of this
church and not to what I taught you. Each shall
have the rewards of that kind of thinking just as
each from this day shall enjoy the rewards of
following me if you so choose. It shall not be
easy but only those who commit shall cross over
the veil. It is for you to choose."
Jesus, with Tim, then rose upward and backward
until they disappeared through the wall of the
church.
The congregation was stunned, silent.
