What does the name "tsunami" mean?
"Tsunami" is Japanese for "harbor wave."
What is automatic writing?
Automatic writing is writing produced without the author's
conscious control over what is written. The person writes
spontaneously, sometimes with the intent of uncovering
subconscious thoughts. Automatic writing is associated with
the Surrealists, a group of writers in the early 20th century
who followed Sigmund Freud's theory of the unconscious
and his free association technique for accessing subconscious
thoughts. Automatic writing was also performed by mediums
who claimed to be channeling the words of the deceased.

The Ultimate Excuse: Procrastination & Excuses
by Arthur A. Hawkins II
Do you want to be more productive? Then it is time to rev
yourself up!
Start by using the first of my ?Top 10 Time Wasters?it will
help you get motivated and pick up the pace:
Avoid the most common time trap Procrastination & Excuses ?
and you get more done.
Just as you took (or are taking!) the plunge into the land of
business, you must continue to ACT sell, manage, submit. . .
You didn't let procrastination, excuses or fear hold you back
then, so don't do it now.
The most important thing you can do is: Just Do It!
Act and you eliminate procrastination, excuses and fear. Don't
make this a year of coulda, woulda, shoulda. . . Remember
the longer you wait the more things pile up and the less
you achieve.
An act in time saves 9
You're busy with deadlines, selling, developing ideas, research,
e-mail, the Internet, writing. . . aren't we all! Being swamped with
work is no excuse for not reaching what you want to accomplish.
By the way, what is it that you want to accomplish?
I know, I know, it's easier said than done. But you can do it!
Don't let the fear of rejection or failure push you into paralyzing
Procrastination.
Break those mountainous tasks into manageable molehills.
Inspire yourself by thinking of why you are in business and how
much you enjoy it.
It's easy to spend hours, weeks or even a lifetime coming up with
reasons you can't do it now. In fact, the easiest thing is to do
nothing.
Let's face it, it is difficult to get fired up every day. I mean, who
can get excited about mundane things like taking out the
trash, cleaning the toilet or taxes. Work, whether tasks at the
office or chores at home, generally does not conjure up a
pleasant image.
There are plenty of things most people would rather do
instead of work. Add in FEAR of failure, rejection and the new
(environments, ideas, technology, people, etc.) and any
excuse or reason not to act gets you off the hook.
Unfortunately, procrastination and excuses are more than
the result of laziness, much more. Overconfidence, complacency
and a dependence on things like technology and even people
are other reasons we let things lapse.
Having faith in your ability and that of your associates, computers,
equipment and family is great ? but not if it causes you to put things
off.
Stop underestimating activities and events. Do not let them sneak
up on you either. Ask yourself ? exactly what will happen if you fail
to act?
Bottom line: Make things happen. Excuses, no matter how
legitimate, are just excuses. Overcome Procrastination,
Fear & Excuses. Don't talk about it. Don't think about it. Just
do it! Remember action speaks louder than words.
I will leave you with the first of my Top 10 Time Wasters found in
my book "THE Self-Employment Resource Guide":
1) Procrastination & Excuses
If you don't start you can't finish. Define what you want to
accomplish (your goals, objectives, targets, timetables,
action plan) then reach it by continually working toward
it. Don't put things off! Never make things more than they
are. Do not wait until the last minute. ACT!
Finally, if you let me know how you overcome procrastination
and excuses, I can give you some pointers on how to achieve
even more. Reach me at feedback@timemanagement4u.com

by Karin Henderson
I Wish Doctors Had More Time to Listen.
Then You Wouldn't Be Looking For Your
Own Solutions On The Internet. (How To
Use The Internet Knowledge And Still Keep
Your Doctor!)
PART 3 of 10
I teach people to be totally factual about their symptoms.
You would create a list of facts. For instance you have a
rash. You would want to state the frequency with which it
occurs. You would describe how it feels as to itchiness,
pain, and heat. You would mention if it presents changes
in severity with any regularity. The signs would be its
location, size (and any changes) and texture, colour, etc.
The symptoms describe how you feel when you have
this rash. In another example, a bone is broken and the
pain is excruciating when you have to move the leg. Your
doctor takes an xray and sees
(a sign) but he can't feel
your pain (a symptom). You have to describe it. Symptoms
present all sorts of problems such as gender, age and
cultural expectations. Recently a reader described her
reproductive system problems in which her doctor had
told her to get used to this
for nine years! Her description
of the signs and symptoms led me to suggest another
doctor ASAP. You don't fool a round with black discharge
for nine years. Her symptoms might have been misleading,
but the signs are definite enough! Her problem is showing
(sign) the doctor exactly what she saw. This is very difficult
unless you are creative. Some doctors will ask you for a
specimen (sample). Your creativity could stretch to taking
a coloured photo or sample bag. This might be a little
inconvenient, but if it's important enough for you to seek
help, do whatever it takes and the doctor should be very
impressed with your determination.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"Speaking of under the sun it's getting a bit
warm here on the beach. Let's go up to your hut
and sit there. It's more in the shade. And I know
I can control the environment around me. I just
prefer to do as little of that as I can. I could
get too spoiled." Alewka was ever the practical
Mother. She realized that using higher law in such
a way was a very easy way to set up habits that
could and likely would remove one from the
conditions others were in. There was nothing wrong
with that but one had to be aware of all things
around them. In that Alewka did not want to remove
herself from letting her senses give her an
accurate picture of where she was.
The group moved up to Mazunta's and Eloise's
hut and picked their usual spots to sit. "Its not
too far from supper anyway, It is good we came up
here. Mom can you give me a hand. We'll make Maz's
favorite supper tonight. He looks like he could
use it." Eloise winked at Maz.
He came over to her and put his big hands
around her waist. Once there he began to move his
fingertips in a way that tickled her. Eloise
squirmed and laughed in an attempt to get free but
she could not. She finally had to holler "uncle"
and give in to his ways. Then he let her go.
Sam and Alewka smiled deep on the inside. They
remember the days when they did similar things.
That was back in the days where Eloise was just a
little girl her Dad called Tinkerbell. The boys
were not long walking and Tinkerbell was around
five. They did everything as a family then and in
the spring, summer and fall they would spend a lot
of time out at their cabin at the lake. Those were
good days and produced a lot of reverie in both
Sam and Alewka. That is one of the reasons they
both loved their family so much. They had been a
very close family and shared everything over the
years. They were very proud of their daughter who
was raising her family much the same. But, that
was the way with parents. When they witnessed
their kids doing things similar to the way they
did things it was a reinforcement of the thought
they did things right.
Mazunta smiled, too, as he watched Sam and
Alewka. He knew what was going on in their minds.
He was pleased they approved of the way he and
Eloise were bringing up their children. That meant
both sets of parents were pleased.
Mazunta, too, had a favorite name for Eloise.
He called her Bueno. It came from their honeymoon
days and he used it often enough now that even
some of the villagers were intimate enough to use
the name. So tonight Eloise, at the fire, could be
referred to as Eloise, Bueno and Tinkerbell.
It was common among men to do that kind of
thing. When they held a particular respect for an
individual they used nicknames to identify them.
While it is often used in the military it did not
begin there. It is a characteristic worldwide.
Sam and Maz sat near the fire circle but far
enough away that they would not get in the way of
the girls as they prepared supper. They had been
chatting about Mae and Susan and their trip to
China. They both found it interesting those two
women would take such a trip, yet they were
pleased as well. Sam particularly was pleased for
both of them. It was time Mae took charge of her
life and began to assert herself. The same was
true of Susan.
Sam became quiet and sent a message to both
Mae and Sue. "How are you guys doing? We haven't
heard from you in a while."
It wasn't long before both he and Maz knew "We
are doing fine. This is a wonderful trip and we
really like the people here. We'll take a break
from our journey in the next month or so and come
for a visit Sam. Thanks for asking."
Sam and Maz smiled.
The kids came running up. Their games were
over. It was amazing how they seemed to have a
clock within them that told them to be home for
supper. Everyday they would arrive at just the
right time.
"You guys have fun today?"
"Oh yes Grandpa. They let me carry the ball
today and I made a point." AliAnne was pleased.
"You're going to be the one to beat, I'll bet.
Just like your Father. I'll bet he was good at
that ball game. Has he given you any pointers
yet?"
"Not yet Grandpa."
"And how about you Sammy? I saw you busy down
in that sand pile with little Mae working hard at
something. That looked like fun."
"Yeah, Grandpa. We were making roads and
rivers and lakes. She has a nice boat we use to go
on trading trips."

TODAY'S REPORT:
Yesterday Mom and I went Christmas shopping. Wow! That's
a way to get rid of some money in a hurry. Yet it is a joy to mix
and mingle with the crowds, to hear the sounds and noises
of the season, and it is a joy to share our wealth with the
family and others.
It means I have to work twice as hard today to catch up for
what I missed yesterday. I imagine there will be a lot of that
in the next few days.
I hope and trust all of you will relax and enjoy the season. It
cannot be done when you are so intent on getting a task
done that you miss the joy of it.

HA! HA! HA!
A man goes to his dentist because he feels something is wrong with his
mouth. The dentist examines him and says, "That new upper plate I put
in for you six months ago is completely corroded. What have you been
eating?"
The man replies, "All I can think of is that about four months ago my
wife made some asparagus and put some stuff on it that was delicious:
Hollandaise sauce. I loved it so much I now put it on everything --
meat, toast, fish, vegetables, you name it."
"Well," says the dentist, "that's probably the problem. Hollandaise
sauce is made with lots of lemon juice, which is highly corrosive. It's
eaten away your upper plate. I'll make you a new plate, and this time
I'll use chrome."
"Why chrome?" asks the patient.
The dentist replies, "It's simple. Everyone knows there's no plate like
chrome for the hollandaise!"
