TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------

(Made a mistake in my formatting procedure, so today you get
the answers to today's Trivia.)

How can birds sit on electric wires without being injured?

It's simple. In order to be electrocuted, the bird would have to
touch two wires simultaneously or one hot wire and the
ground at the same time. One wire won't do it.

How much electricity does an electric eel generate?

The size of the eel matters. On average, an electric eel
discharges about 350 volts, but researchers have measured
discharges as high as 650 volts. That's much more powerful
than the average household outlet. Electric eels use their
electricity to kill prey as well as to locate prey. They're
mostly blind as adults and use their electricity much
as we use radar.

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------

How much light does a cat need to see?

A cat needs just 1/6th the light a human needs to
be able to see.

What do cats, camels, and giraffes have in common?

Cats, like camels and giraffes, walk by moving their front
and hind legs on one side, then the front and hind legs on
the other side. When most other animals move, the front
leg on one side and the hind leg on the other move
together.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
-----------------

Most Of Us Get It Backwards ...

I asked God to take away my pain.  God said, No.  It is
not for Me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God
said, No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No.  Patience
is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness.  God said, No.  I give
you blessings, happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.  God said, No.  Suffering
draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer
to Me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.  God said, No.  You
must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make
you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.  God said, No.
I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others as much
as He loves me.  God said... Ahhh, finally! you have
the idea.

I find the above interesting. It speaks of the same things
I speak of day after day. Too often we ask for the wrong
things. We ask for things our emotions say we want or
need for a moment, yet we fail both to see the truth of
what we really need or to ask for what we really need. Is
it any wonder that all Solomon asked for was wisdom?

Give some thought to these things. How often have we
been so poor that all we want or ask for is money? We
do this in spite of zillions of opportunities looking us right
in the eye, if we would but look.

How many times do we ask for a child or a loved one to
be healed and made well when we are really asking to be
saved from the pain of a potential death. Know we not that
such a person may well be on a path laid out long ago and
it is to that person's benefit to leave? Indeed it may well be
for the lessons you must learn.

Think on these things. Do you ask in prayer for the
things over which you already have control but have
not yet opened your eyes to see truth? How many times
do we go begging for what we already have? How many
times do we do things backward, asking rather than giving?
How many times are our prayers motivated merely by the
things we think we need? Even when you pray for others,
do you do it to be seen as a good person, or that it is the
thing to do because of where you are?

Search out your motivation. Search out your truth. Search
out who you are that you may do your Maker's work. That
is not in any church or in any religion. It is a daily function
or finding the real you and fulfilling the mission for which
you came in earth.

Mercury / Amalgam Dental Fillings
PART 5 of 8

Effects of Mercury Poisoning on the Fetus

From reading A Mouth Full of Poison: The Truth about
Mercury Amalgam Fillings you know that if a mother has
mercury amalgam fillings her fetus can be exposed to
toxic mercury from her fillings at the moment of
conception, continuing until birth and through the
nursing period. You now also know that mercury is a
mutagenic substance and means that the effects of
mercury on the fetus and nursing child could disrupt
DNA at a critical time of development and lead to
problems later in life. These could be problems that at
first glance may not appear to be connected
with chronic (or acute) mercury poisoning, but could
very well be caused by it. For example, it could later
result in the immune system not functioning properly.

It could also mean that chronic mercury poisoning
could, once enough mercury has accumulated in the
brain, either trigger or exacerbate the existing
problem. Mercury poisoning can also affect people in
different ways, depending on many factors, and will
have a greater affect on some than on others. As you
read in the book, there are many factors that determine
the extent and long term effects of chronic mercury
poisoning.

Mercury Amalgam Fillings: A Health Hazard

In my opinion, there is a close enough relationship
between Meniere's and chronic mercury poisoning to
explore it further. For example, anyone with mercury
amalgam fillings is being chronically poisoned by
mercury and there are tens of millions in the high risk
category for chronic mercury poisoning. I can say that
if I were afflicted with this health issue, given my
knowledge of the subject, I would do everything in my
power to safely remove the source of this poison and
eliminate it from my body. I would also make every
effort to repair the damage done by mercury.

The degree of mercury toxicity will depend on a number
of extenuating factors. These factors are described in
A Mouth Full of Poison and include such things as
whether or not the person’s mother had amalgam fillings
during pregnancy, how long an individual has had their
own fillings, and how and how often these fillings have
been stimulated. The longer anyone has been exposed to
mercury the greater the risk. It should also be noted
that as long as the fillings are present, more and more
mercury will accumulate over time, thus it is known as
a progressive poison. Because of the many variables,
some people will show signs and symptoms of mercury
related problems earlier in life, others as they age.
In fact, many of the so-called age related illnesses
can be related to mercury poisoning.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"OOOooooOOH! It's Tim Henry, Mama." Sharon
spoke in a tone that began high, went low and then
back up a little. Her voice, while weak as if from
a paper tiger, was at once lustful denoting that
wispy yet not to be mistaken signal she wanted
Tim's body.

Sharon and her Mother had been cleaning up
after supper and were now doing the dishes. Just
as Harriet Smithson had surmised, she and her
daughter had been talking, as ladies do while
working in the kitchen, and Harriet had quietly
and almost in a whisper asked, "Who is it?"

Sharon had responded the only way she knew
with her Mother. That was all right. She had
nothing to hide. The only reason she had not
spoken until now was that she didn't want to break
the spell.

It took Harriet back nearly 40 years to when
she and her husband Bob began dating. There was a
time in there when he swooned her right off her
feet and Harriet remembered well what Sharon was
going through. She was not envious but filled with
joy, that her daughter could embrace the same
euphoria love can bring. Harriet was enjoying this
all vicariously.

"So how did this all come about? I thought you
no longer liked Tim and that you were against what
he stood for?"

"Oh Mom! I went over there to apologize to
him. I was wrong in what I did at church and when
Jesus came and spoke to all of us I knew I had
been wrong. I went over to ask Tim to forgive me.
Then I also wanted to talk with him about how he
lives that way. Somehow, someway in that
conversation I ended up close to him and he turned
around and kissed me. Oh! Mom! It was wonderful!"

"I know honey. I can see. Cherish that
feeling. It only comes once in a while and is to
be honored, revered. That is what I had with your
Dad when we were young. What else happened?"

"We talked for a long time Mom. We talked
about all it takes to live by higher law. I can
now do that Mom. I was shown the way. It is going
to be a big change in me Mom. You and Daddy will
have to trust me at those times when I don't come
home or am late for meals or family occasions. I
don't know how often that will be but I do know I
will be called away to help, or Tim and I might go
somewhere or who knows what will happen."

"Sharon, honey, I want you to be careful.
You're a little young to become pregnant and it
should be done right."

"Oh Mom, it's different now. Before this all I
wanted was to have sex with Tim, and he would not
do it. He, too, said it had to be right. Now that
I believe in higher law I know and understand what
he meant. He will not do that Mom, until it is
right, and I no longer need to do it until it is
right either. Things are different now Mom. I
can't explain it but everything is different."

"I trust you dear. I just wanted to touch on
the subject to make sure you were in control of
the situation. I won't worry and I'll talk with
your Dad. He will see."

"Thank you Mom. I love you." Sharon gave her
Mother a big hug, even though her Mother's hands
were deep in the dishwater at the kitchen sink.
"Can I go over to Tim's now? We're nearly done
here."

"I guess that would be all right, honey. Do
you have anything on tomorrow?"

"No, so I don't know what will happen. We
might go somewhere. Don't worry about me Mom,
things will be fine, and I can assure you Tim is
an honorable man."

"I know, Sharon. I know. I like Tim."

Sharon hung up the dish towel went to her
room. She changed her clothes and came back into
the kitchen. "I'll see you later Mom." With that
she closed her eyes, saw herself in Tim's living
room, believed she was there, and disappeared from
her Mother's view, right in front of her.

Sharon was standing in the Henry living room,
all alone. She made no noise, she just stood
there. Suddenly Tim came bounding down the stairs
two and three at a time. He spotted her
immediately and if he was going to go in any other
direction she did not know it for without saying
anything, or altering course he made straight for
her, put his arms around her and kissed her with a
deep tongue entwined french kiss.

The pair of them were breathless. Somehow, and
neither of them knew how, they ended up on the
living room rug with Tim on top of Sharon. Their
bodies were moving as in heat. There no longer
seemed to be any barriers in either of their minds
to continuing this love making.

Tim pushed, she raised her groin to meet him.
They both groaned that lustful guttural groan of
pleasure they were finding in each other. Still
they kissed, never having broken the first one.
Tim's tongue was going in and out of her mouth in
time with the movements of his hips. She followed
his tongue back into his mouth and waited once
more for the push.

OBSERVATIONS OF OUR BUSINESS

Many of you have become interested in following what
we are doing in our business.

It is a way of seeing some of the good things and not so good
things that happen to us along the way.

While it may not replicate your story, neither may it be replicated
by you, it does keep you updated on some of the trials and
tribulations of doing business on the internet.

We thought we would keep it up.

TODAY'S REPORT:

Well some of you might like to know I have been talked
out of dropping this column. There were many responses,
but the one that changed my mind was from a dear and
beloved friend. She convinced me that in sharing with
you my trials and tribulations it puts a human face on me
and allows you to see that I am like you.

That concept never crossed my mind before. If, however,
that is what this column does then I'm glad to continue
it.

Thanx Susan.

HA! HA! HA!

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive
cigars, then insured them against fire among other things.

Within a month having smoked his entire stockpile of
these great cigars and without yet having made even
his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed
a claim against the insurance company.

In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in
a series of small fires." The insurance company refused
to pay, citing the obvious reason:

that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.
The lawyer sued ... and won!

In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance
company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated
nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company
in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable
and also guaranteed that it would insure them against
fire, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable
fire, and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure
a lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company
accepted the ruling and paid $15,000.00 to the lawyer for
his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."

NOW FOR THE BEST PART....

After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company
had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!! With his own
insurance claim and testimony from the previous case
being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of
intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced
to 24 months in jail and a $24,000.00 fine
