<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A typical, obviously American, community. Two young people
given an opportunity for an a adventure with an attainable
financial reward. Their adventure into the inkonwn, not
restrained by dogmatic rules or community restraints, leads
them to resources that change no only the two adventurers'
attitudes, but attitudes of others.
The reader will either come away with a a feeling of
wonderment or question the writer's declared source, his
Maker, for the content.
I was not envious of the characters' adventures but enjoyed
the book as it refreshed the wonderment I had as a youth and
now as a practical adult, to "think outside the box" about
powers that are within us.

What was the first state to secede from the Union?
South Carolina was the first state to secede from the Union.
It did so after Abraham Lincoln won the presidential
election in 1860.
Where did the fighting begin?
The attack by confederate troops on Ft. Sumpter in South
Carolina on April 12 marked the start of the war. President
Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers to put down the
rebellion. The Battle of Bull Run, in July 1861, was the
first major battle. Hundreds of well-to-do civilians, who
believed Union troops would quickly put an end to the
Rebels, actually attended the first battle as spectators.
They even hired caterers to make elaborate picnic baskets!
Unfortunately for them, the Confederates gained the upper
hand in the battle and sent Union troops running. Several
spectators were captured by Confederate troops.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
Keep On Keepin' On
Sometimes it seems as if the whole world is against you. You
have worked hard on your idea. There were times when you
thought it was going to take off, but now you are just bone
tired and it looks, for sure, like you are not going
anywhere.
That is exactly the point where the universe tests the
"metal of the man" so to speak.
You see, anybody can quit. That takes no courage nor
intelligence.
Quitting is easy, and that is why most folks never achieve
what they can.
It is not unlike the environmental issue. We are all
concerned about the environment, right up to the point where
it starts to cost us in money, time or labor. Then we start
to rethink our stand on the environment.
So too, with our own success, especially our internet
success. We start out thinking we'll set the world on fire.
We are going to make a mint.
Then, two years later, we are frustrated, disillusioned,
disappointed, tired.
Want to quite then? That's when the tough get going. That's
when those with knowledge begin to dig in their heels and
lean on the old principles of consistency, scotching,
fortitude and keepin' on.
The only guarantee you have if you keep on is there will be
more work. However, if you quite you will be absolutely
guaranteed you fail.
Remember it only takes a little wee change in your system to
suddenly create the results you want.
When you are tired you forget that. Stop for a while. Go get
something to eat. Have a good nights rest. Recharge, then
hit it again.
You must understand this fact of life; if you keep on your
efforts, making changes as you go, all the while keeping
your goal in mind, you WILL ARRIVE.
Often, what you think of as failure is only another lesson
for you to learn on your way to success. More good comes out
of bad times than comes out of the good times. If you don't
learn these lessons as you go, you are not eligible for the
rewards you seek.

The Brain And Spinal Cord
Parts Of Your Body's Nervous System
Part 1 of 6
The brain is the organizing and processing center of your body
and of its nervous system. It is the site of consciousness
(awareness), sensation (feeling of sense), memory, and
coordination. And now is the time for motorcycles, and diving
accidents. What follows is just an overview of the brain and the
spinal cord, and a few of the more important structures and
their activities. Why the comment about diving accidents and
motorcycles? As a former OR nurse, I saw many quadriplegics come
through our doors for patch up jobs. We knew little could be
done to restore their lifestyle and vitality. (When our son
wanted a motorcycle, I made a deal with him. He would visit the
major rehabilitation center and speak with the patients...then
we would discuss the motorcycle. He drives a car.)
As I always need to remind you, if you feel something you are
reading reminds you of something you are experiencing, please
consult your medical team. This information, although meant to
be a lesson in healthy lifestyles, is not meant as a medical
resource. I want to do an overview primarily, showing you
how parts of the brain and the spinal cord connect and how
protective your body is of those most important "body part".
Our bodies really are a miracle! TWO miracles: one visible and
one invisible. Both need each other, but we tend not to value
the invisible one as much...till something goes wrong. The
visible part of us is the body "parts". The invisible (to us) is
the nervous system. If you are a surgeon, you will be able to
see the actual nerve in its physical form, but you still can't
see its actions, although you will see the results of those
actions. The rest of us need to think of it this way...you can
see your finger move, but you couldn't see the actual nerve
doing all the steps to move that finger.

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.

The statement was a quite simple four words, but it made
her cry. "I know," she sobbed, "I love you so much and I
have for so long, I didn't think you were ever going to
notice."
They stood and hugged each other so close it was as if
they were one in both body and soul. They were.
Neither was aware of how much time they spent that way.
They only knew they did not ever want to part. They did not
ever want it to end. But, then, holding was not enough. They
wanted more and they kissed, a wide open mouth, tongue to
tongue, heavy emotional kiss that brought more moans from
Reno. They were nearly out of breath again when they parted.
She lay her head on his shoulder. Neither said anything.
They just absorbed one another. Each was breathing hard and
fast. Yes, lust was a part of it, but not the driving force.
Young love was the driving force. It was clean, pure,
wonderful, and the lust it produced was also clean and
wonderful. It seemed right and natural for lovers to want
each other sexually. It was, after all, part of their
Maker's plan.
Amenti touched her breast. She moaned her pleasure,
acceptance and permission. He didn't do it because he so
intended. He did it because their present stance made it not
only natural but it was very awkward placing his hand
anywhere else. He held her gently and felt her breathing
beneath her breast. Then lust was beginning to take hold of
both of them.
He removed his hand from her breast and pushed her away.
"Reno, I love you, but we can't do this just yet. There will
be a time and a place, but not just now."
"I know." Reno's response was simple, quiet,
understanding and accepting. She knew they would withhold
until they were wed. Wow! Their first real kiss and already
she was thinking of a wedding.
That was not it, really. It is just that she knew she
loved him and now that he loved her. She was aware it was
forever, so the wedding idea was not an out of place thing,
but again a natural evolvement from circumstance.
They embraced again, head on, center to center and
touched from their groins to their lips. It wasn't a kiss
really, so much as complete immersion into each other such
that their souls became one and sang the song of victory, of
joy, of complete and unadulterated happiness.
Young love, forever the most wonderful thing to see and
watch. It brings back memories in the old and sparks wonder
in the young.
Arm in arm, head to head the couple moved slowly down
the road toward the orphanage. A truck was coming from town
blasted the horn in celebration. It blared as it came past
and the driver waved enthusiastically out the window.
The couple laughed, waved, kissed again and continued on
their way back to the orphanage.
A big cheer went up when they came back. Everyone at the
orphanage was happy for them.
Reno blushed to a point where even that embarrassed her.
Everybody gathered around and hugged the new couple. Each
knew what was ahead for them and all were happy.
As things settled down and folks were again around the
fire some of the kids asked Billy what love was.
"Oh my! You ask a tough one there. Let me suggest to you
there are two kinds of love. There is the emotional pull
between a man and a woman, not the sex pull, but an
emotional desire to be together with another person. Then
there is the love you feel in this orphanage, the love of
your Maker.
The love between a man and a woman is a deep wanting to
be with that other person, regardless of sexual feelings. It
is a strange, almost unexplainable pull of a man to a woman.
They like to do things together, everything, the good and
the bad. They are friends as much as lovers and the
relationship can and does last long with or without sex. It
is a matter of sex being a bonus to the relationship. If sex
is the motivator for the relationship then it is lust, not
love. Love is kind and concerns itself more for the welfare
of your partner than of yourself. It is giving in all things
at all times. It is absolute trust and communication. It is
equality, sharing, helping. When the package is all wrapped
up into one it is called love and is best seen when it first
begins to blossom as in Reno and Amenti or Tom and Tlang. It
is also seen in the closeness and the long time togetherness
you see in Riata's parents, Miguele and Abetta or in the
Henrys, Sam and Alewka. One thing is clear, when a couple
are in love all around them know it."
"You said there was another kind of love, Billy."
"Yes, a far more important and potent love. It is the
love of your Maker. That love is not emotional but a force,
a continual energy that is readily available to all people.
It is withheld from no one. It is the energy, which, if you
tap into it will allow you to manifest all you want and
need. It is the energy that requires and is itself
perfection and it comes from perfection, not recognizing
anything less. That is why, when a person is hurting we see
only perfection and require they be perfect. That perfect
oneness with your Maker is the love that powers the
universe. All you need do is have a real look around and you
will see it. It is in everything you see, feel, touch, hear,
taste. It is in that stone and in that fire. It is in that
piece of clothing you are wearing and it is in you. All men
have access to that love. If they abuse it that love will
work against them. If they use it constructively then man
shall have limitless power with which to complete what he is
working on. It is governed by the law 'As ye sow, so shall
ye reap.' That is why you have been taught to love one
another rather than permit hatred or anger. You have been
taught those lessons here so you will be ready for higher
law. Each of you can now live by higher law and each of you
has the power of your Maker to do anything. You and you
alone are responsible for all things that happen to you,
within you, for you and against you. Learn to use higher law
the way your Maker wants and you shall forever have that
love with you. Use that power for personal gain or against
any person or thing and you will suffer the consequences."

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Narrow Back: How did a dandy come to be called a "narrow
back"?
The Irishmen wo came to this country all wore the rough cut,
homespun clothes of their homeland but their sons adopted
the practice of wearing tailor made clothes that were cut to
fit. The coats, therefore, were cut in at the waist and gave
the men a "narrow back" appearance.
