The Saga of Pinehill, The Adventure - a many faceted read
you won't put down. It's an exciting adventure in which the
author has incorporated a study of human nature. Beyond that
he has taken us into a refreshing new world that appears plausible
and possible.

To give your mind an exciting run read as if you were one of
the characters. Read as if you hope that what is said
can truly be your world. It will change your life.

Exciting! Thrilling! Uplifting ... all that in one book is a
milestone.

What other books did Margaret Mitchell, the author of "Gone
With the Wind," write?

Who popularized the word "goon"?

Elzie C. Segar, a journalist active in the late 1920s,
created a comic strip called "Thimble Theater" (known to us
today as "Popeye"). One of his characters was "Alice the
Goon," a female with a hulking body, huge hands, a bald
head, and hairy arms. Despite her frightful appearance,
Alice was basically a good-hearted woman. During the 1930s,
a period of intense labor disputes, the word took on a more
sinister meaning when it was applied to equally-frightful
thugs hired to terrorize workers. Segar popularized the
word, but it did exist prior to his comic, and may be a
shortened form of "gooney," which means simpleton.

How many expletives are contained in Eddie Murphy's two
concert films, "Delirious" and "Raw"?

Eddie Murphy's later movies are incredibly tame compared to
his earlier work. His two concert films, "Delirious" and
"Raw," contain a combined 921 profanities.

Keep Your Own Council!

While attending a convention, three psychiatrists take a
walk.

"People are always coming to us with their guilt and fears,"
one says, "but we have no one to go to with our own
problems."

"Since we're all professionals," another suggests, "why
don't we hear each other out right now?"

They agreed this is a good idea. The first psychiatrist
confesses, "I'm a compulsive shopper and deeply in debt, so
I usually overbill my patients as often as I can."

The second admits, "I have a drug problem that's out of
control, and I frequently pressure my patients into buying
illegal drugs for me."

The third psychiatrist says, "I know it's wrong, but no
matter how hard I try, I just can't keep a secret."

And, so, too, will others be willing to listen to you and
spread the word of what you are up to.

There is a point where you can learn no more from others,
from books, television, from friends. There is a point where
if you have to learn then you must listen to what you are
told from deep inside.

That is the council that is true. That is the council that
is genuinely concerned about you. That is the council that
tells only truth. Keep that council. That is the only
council that will not boast to, or reveal to others what you
have communicated.

Learn to listen and ask questions. Especially learn to
listen. That begins by you stopping talking, physically and
mentally. Your Maker doesn't "talk" as you and I talk. You
will find yourself impressed with "knowing" the answer, when
you ask a question. Learn to recognize this.

Spend time within yourself to communicate with your Maker
and come away with answers for any and all questions you
care to ask. Keep that council and you will gain in power
and strength. Keep that council and you will gain
prosperity.

Stress And How It Affects Your Physical Body
A Few Ideas To Enhance Your Fitness Level.
PART 2 of 9

Stress affects your body negatively. For that reason, you really
don't want it to "hang around" for any length of time. Many
people say it's inevitable. I don't agree. I think you can learn
to behave in ways that protect your body from long term damage.
It isn't easy or fast, but it's doable. And once you think
through a few different concepts or change your perceptions, you
can move from a frozen or paralyzed state into taking control of
your future. In fact, it's really the only way you can protect
yourself, but most of us have to discover this for ourselves.
And usually we do this in isolation. Start by asking yourself
"how can I" instead of just accepting your situation. Really
believe you could possibly make some changes in how life around
you happens. Ways will appear. Imagine taking a tiny risk and
achieving one small new goal and then taking another and another
and winning each time. Would this not contribute to your sense
of freedom? And it would certainly lower your stress level.

Let's look at this from an anatomical viewpoint. If you feel
totally relaxed, all your body systems flow relatively evenly
and perform as they are designed to do. Your heart is relaxed
and it pumps in a nice, calm manner. It sends blood to all parts
of the body carrying life-supporting nutrients and oxygen. No
strain. No stress. Now just for a second, clench your fist as if
you are angry. Or what is much more common, act as if you are
fearful! Feel how your whole hand is clenched. Now feel your
entire body in the same stiffened manner. Check yourself...body
tight, hands clenched, facial frown. Your entire body is out of
its natural alignment. And you rightfully say "so what"?
Essentially, this misalignment, in all parts of your body causes
"dis-ease" or this "un-relaxed state". This causes many of our
degenerative conditions. These are abnormal.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

<><><><>

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to

your favorite bookstore. ISBN # 1-4137-4723-X

As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .
----------------

"David had been put down so much by his Father that he
was a weak individual. Here he was learning he could survive
on his own, he could accomplish things by himself without
his Father's advice or criticism. He became a man here. He
was a real nice guy after that. I liked him and still do.
But enough.

The boys finished the canoe and Boolanga put the
outriggers on it then tested it. For three days he had David
out in the canoe showing him how to work with it. David
would come back in to camp so exhausted he would only eat
and sleep. Boolanga would take him out again and work him
all day. Finally Boolanga thought David could handle
the canoe properly. In truth, David could handle a canoe
with the best of them. Boolanga really worked him hard
because the men had to know how to steer the canoe, or how
to handle yourself up front. David had to learn what to do
in strong currents, and he had to learn how to react if a
crocodile decided he wanted the canoe for lunch. All these
things Boolanga was teaching him. David learned fast.

Then one day it was time to leave here. That was a sad
day. A couple days earlier Midnight had chased Tiger away
and she was sad. Then, when we had to leave we had to say
goodbye to Midnight. None of us wanted that.

We didn't know for sure but we thought Boolanga's
village was over 400 miles downstream. Judging from the time
it took him to get this far up stream, Boolanga thought it
would take us about three weeks to get home. Using the
current made it easier.

We were in for a surprise the first night out. Midnight
was following us and caught up to us when we camped. The
second night out there was Dad and Tim. I know you are going
to ask so let me explain. Once I knew how to live by higher
law I went home and showed your Grandpa and Grandma and your
uncles. They made the decision to live that way, too. By the
time we had to break camp and be on our way I had been home
several times and Sien and Jesus had also been there to help
the folks.

Anyway, Dad and Tim were there, on the beach, the second
night out. That really impressed David. Me living by higher
law was one thing. Boolanga living by higher law may have
been a coincidence, but my Dad and Tim, that was a surprise.
That really got David thinking. He was afraid to commit, but
it sure made him think. Later on when we got home and he had
all that money Mr. Gladstone put into his bank account, well
he figured he had control over everything and everybody. Yet
he was still thinking about higher law underneath."

"I'll bet Grandpa being there was a surprise to you
also."

"Well, sorta. I knew Mom and Dad and the boys were
working on higher law. I just didn't know they had achieved
it yet. When I saw them on the beach I knew immediately what
had happened.

To continue with the story, we decided to take Midnight
with us. Boolanga said his village was on the other side of
the river and she could follow as far as she wants on this
side but she would not be able to get across."

"Why not, Mom, cats can swim."

"Yes, Sammy, but at high water you never know where the
piranha are and she would be eaten in a matter of minutes.
So we took her.

Because the journey was getting to be a bit of the same
old same old, I caused many miles to pass without David
knowing about it. Boolanga knew. Then one day we spotted his
village. The kids were out on the beach playing their never
ending game of ball, and they spotted us. They called to the
adults in the village and they all came out to see what was
coming.

The kids knew something was up. If we had been a trading
party there would have been three or four canoes. Only one
canoe raised curiosity. Your Dad was there on the beach. He
stood out head and shoulders above the rest of the folks.

Boolanga was a little concerned how the village would
accept the big black cat. Nothing like this had ever
happened before. it was quite a thing for the village to
accept the cat. He had a long talk with your Dad and your
Dad handled the matter. We landed and got out of the canoe.
We were introduced to the village and for all they knew we
were only temporary visitors. Yet even then there was a
spark in your Dad's eye, and I knew it."

"Men," said Sammy, "they fall for a good looking woman
every time."

"Oh! Listen to little Mr. Authority here!" Mazunta
tussled Sammy's hair.

"We stayed at the village for near a month. David then
carved out a new canoe, with the help of the village men.
That was the canoe on which he put a statue of Midnight.
That canoe attracted attention all up and down the river.
Even those in the village were very impressed. David does
such nice work it looks real. Your Dad on the trading trips
was held in very high esteem because of that canoe. People
used to step aside and let him pass. They still do.

Anyway we stayed at the village for about three weeks
and then David had to get home to Pamela. So your Dad and
the others mounted a trading trip and took us down to the
trading town, down river. We found a truck there and drove
to Matto Grosso and then David flew home from there. That's
pretty much what happened."

"Oh no it isn't Mother. How is it you came to marry Dad?"

WHY DO WE SAY IT?

Aboveboard: Why is an honest person said to be "aboveboard"?

Because card sharps and magicians place their hands under
the "board", or table to prepare their tricks and stack the
deck. If they keep their hands above the board they can be
presumed - not always accurately - to be proceeding without
trickery.

HA! HA! HA!

St. Peter is very busy in Heaven, so he leaves a sign by the
Pearly Gates: "For Service Ring Bell." Away he goes; he
barely gets started when BING! the bell rings. He rushes
back to the gates, but no one's there.

St. Peter goes back to work when suddenly BING! the bell
rings again. He rushes back to the gates, but no one's
there. A little annoyed, St. Peter goes back to work.

Suddenly, BING! the bell rings again. St. Peter goes back;
again, no one's there. "Okay, that's it," St. Peter says.
"I'm going to hide and watch to see what's going on." So St.
Peter hides, and a moment later, a little old man walks up
and rings the bell.

St. Peter jumps out and yells, "Aha! Are you the guy who
keeps ringing the bell?"

"Yes, that's me," the little old man says.

"Well, why do you keep ringing the bell and going away?" St.
Peter asks.

"They keep resuscitating me," he replies.
