How to Play The Marketing Game Right

When they fail in their online ventures almost all
marketers think either they do not know the business,
either they do not provide a high service related to
advertising, networking, market, prospects
and so on.
The truth is marketing an online business is like
any game. If you know the rules you may avoid
many mistakes and you are much more likely to
achieve success.
Speaking about the marketing rules, let's talk about
some of the most important ones:
1. Focus the marketing activity on customers' needs.
It is a fact that the best way to earn customers is to
show them you understand the problems they are facing.
Very often service professionals focus their marketing
on their expertise, and try to impress clients with their
approach and services they offer. They simply forget
that clients' primary concern is getting problems solved
and having their spoken and unspoken needs met.
Instead of marketing your credentials, market your
knowledge and the solutions you offer to answer the
customers' questions.
2. Find the right niche of the market
If you are not getting a positive response to your
marketing efforts then you may not have targeted your
market and their specific interests and needs precisely
enough. Think that it's impossible to be everything to
everybody. Instead to focus a large area of market
better narrow and deep it. It's more profitable to touch
25 people four times then 100 people just one time.
That means you have reach a loyal group of customers
and you may hope to have repeated sales.
3. Build your network.
May be I was rather unclear saying to deep your
market. As you probably know people like to buy
products from people they know and trust. Networking
is a good idea to see who's interested in your products
and services. Networking is going deeply into
your targeted market getting new customers to you.
4. Stay in Touch.
Take care to refresh memories. Is better to assume
your target market has forgotten about the range of
solutions you offer. Stay in touch with your people on
a monthly or at a minimum quarterly basis. Use a
newsletter to do this, it's the best solution.

Windows 95 and 98
Windows 95 and 98 have a known problem with something
called Version Control that newer versions of Windows
attempt to address better. Version Control means that you
want to make sure that Windows is not going to allow the
installation of files that are actually older than the
files that currently exist on your PC. To assist in
controlling this, run the Version Conflict Manager or the
System File Checker (available from the Tools menu on the
System Information utility in control panel). This list
identifies files that may be newer than the ones Windows 98
installed.

Salt And Potassium:
Keeping A Healthy Balance
In Your Diet

Here is a bit of a shocker...The average person
eats about 6 to 18 grams of salt daily. That's
roughly one to three TEASPOONFULS. Your body
actually needs only about 0.5 grams of salt each
day. In the American Heart Association's sodium
recommendations, healthy adults should reduce
their sodium intake to no more than 2300 mgms per
day. This is about 1-1/4 teaspoons of sodium
chloride (salt). Here are sodium equivalents in
the diet:
1 Gram equals 1000 mgms.
1/4 teaspoon salt = 500 mgms sodium (salt)
1/2 teaspoon salt = 1000 mgms sodium
3/4 teaspoon salt = 1500 mgms sodium
1 teaspoon salt = 2000 mgms sodium
1 teaspoon baking soda = 1000 mgms sodium
Many foods in their natural state already contain
sodium. But a lot of it is also added to food
while it's being commercially processed or
prepared at home. That's why you need to be aware
of both "natural" and "added" salt content when
you are preparing your foods or buying them. When
buying prepared and pre-packaged foods, read the
labels. Many different sodium "compounds" are
added to foods. These are listed on food labels.
Watch for the words "soda" and "sodium" and the
symbol "Na" on labels. These words show that
sodium compounds (salt in different forms) are
present and that's all adding to your salt intake.
I mentioned before "If you don't read labels, you
might be very surprised as to what you will
find...in your ankles or chest." You can quite
easily tell if someone has had too much salt. It
stays in the body and shows up as swelling of the
hands, or legs (usually the ankles) and the lungs.
Here it could lead to breathing difficulties. Your
doctor would have to prescribe the appropriate
diuretic if they suspected any lung involvement.
But if it's in your ankles, just elevating them
can often correct the problem. And your hands are
the same. But try to discover what seemed to
cause the swelling and then avoid repeating the
activity in the future.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

Ben took David's thoughts to heart. "Darryl, you mean you
are going to sit there and let me get away with a threat
such as I just gave you?
"I saw it Ben. And I was wanting to fight, but you could
make it come to pass so quickly I did not want to run the
risk. As a newspaper man I am sensitive to such
matters." answered Darryl.
"Darryl. Let me apologize. I will never, now or at any time
prevent you from doing the kind of work you feel needs
doing. I respect what you do in this community. My feelings
were coming from memories, plus the fact I was involved in
this one. I am sorry and ask your forgiveness." said Ben as
he looked deep into Darryl's eyes.
Darryl sensed Ben was serious here. He believed this was
no ploy, that Ben Striker meant what he said, as was
his reputation.
"Ben, I'll take that former statement as an irrational moment.
I thank you for clearing that up and I think you the bigger
man for it. You can relax. I'll report this in a way that will
keep the lid on things. And I'll release information to the
Philly media in ways that put it low key, although I have no
control over how they will report things.
"We understand." said Sam.
"I think I have all I came for folks. Thank you. Sam can I
have Henry, here, take your picture? Mrs. Striker can I get
a shot of you and Ben, please? David and Mrs. Wiley, may
I take a picture of you as a sidebar to our story, welcoming
you back to town?"
Everyone agreed and after the photos were taken Darryl
and his photographer left.
"Sam, I'm embarrassed. I did not mean to threaten Darryl
like that. How can I ever learn and practice higher law, if I
do things like that?" asked Ben.
"Ben. You're caught up in the moment. It was your wife,
after all, who had been injured. You were personally
involved. It happens in men's lives. That is one of the
reasons, when one of our own is in trouble, we send
someone not related or with no involvement, to help them
out. Forgive yourself your error and commit to never doing
it again and all will be well." said Sam.
Ben Striker, for the last few months had been preparing
to retire from the Police Force. He had bee grooming his
replacement. Ben had seen enough of higher law and
what that would mean to a man that he set about
preparing his retirement early. He wanted to be free of
any duties, so he could commit to living by higher law.
He truly wanted that more than anything in his life. He
was personally ashamed of what he had just done, and
he could hardly believe he had done it. Then he
understood how simple and easy it is to slip back to being
the kind of man that lives in this world. He suddenly
understood what Jesus meant when he said "live in this
world but be not of it."
That moment is when Ben Striker made an everlasting
commitment to live by higher law and none other. Upon
going to work the next day, Ben Striker handed in his
resignation, to be effective within two weeks.
That, too became news in the Pinehill Sound.
"What brought all this retirement business about Ben?"
asked Darryl Sparks, one more time interviewing Ben.
"You did Darryl. Speaking off the record, I was considerably
ashamed of myself for uttering that threat to you, over at
Sam's the other day. That was just plain wrong and I know
it. I decided then and there that if I could not perform my
work objectively I was no good as a Police Chief. There is
no room in the law for someone who thinks that
way." said Ben.
"But dammit Ben. That was your wife that was involved.
That was a personal situation. Don't you think I understood
that?" asked Darryl.
"That is very kind of you Darryl, but I am not speaking about
what it might have done to you. I am speaking of what it did
to me. There is not room for any man in my position to even
come close to thinking that way. It is time I retired and let the
younger men take over." said Ben.
"Ben! You are one of the best things that has ever happened
to this town. You and the Henrys have, for many years,
helped make this town one of the best places in the States,
to live. We will miss you Ben. You have been fair, and have
done the job very well. I don't know if we can find someone
like you again." said Darryl.
