Are living bones brittle?
What are human bones made of?

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

What ancient people used birds to help them navigate?
The Vikings had a clever trick. They would release ravens
as they sailed. They knew that the direction the birds flew
would lead them to land.
Are all bones white?
No. Bones really aren't all white at all. They actually range
in color from beige to light brown. The bones you see in
museum displays have been boiled and cleaned.

Last week a friend of mine purchased a VoIP account
and began using it. He called me into his office and
began to show me the benefits of using that system.
They are many. Unfortunately for me it requires a
broadband connection. If broadband were available
to me I would sign up in an instant. The service is great,
much better, faster and cheaper than land line phones.
I guess the idea is catching on too. I see assorted
stories on the net that confirm the idea is a good one.
Have a look at this one ...
Here is an excerpt from eMarketerDaily confirming
this idea
Cable VoIP Starts to Catch On
Published: February 03, 2005
As noted in last week's article, "Cable Bundles Up
and Stays Hot", cable companies are expanding
their offering to consumers to include not only
digital TV and Internet services, but also VoIP.
A new report by Infonetics Research finds that the
number of cable-based VoIP subscribers in North
America rose 900% between 2003 and 2004, though
the hard numbers are still low less than 50,000
subscribers in 2003 and less than 500,000 in 2004.
Nevertheless, this increase has resulted in a rise in
spending on VoIP equipment in North America,
from $63 million in 2003 to $123 million in 2004.

Courage: How To Find It And Be Yourself
PART 5 of 8
How many times do we tell our selves we are stupid or
brain dead or forgetful, or any number of negative
things? What if you told yourself this is simply an
experience you needed to have? Or a new way to look at
things? Just that shift in looking at a problem, allows
your body to relax.
Do you get frustrated if you cant get all your to do
list done? What would happen if you decided that you
would create the list, prioritize it, follow it as far
as possible, and then continue to do more of it
tomorrow? No one needs to tell you how to prioritize.
But it does take courage to explain why everything
didnt get done. But didnt you feel more relaxed and
motivated and focused once you made the decision to do
all you could? Often by giving yourself some
boundaries, stress is minimized. Anything that isnt
the real you, creates stress. So be alert for things
that seem right to you.
So how do you go about finding this inner self? I am
not a psychologist, but I have found that through my
studies, we all have signs or hints that guide us, IF
WE PAY ATTENTION. Understandably it takes some effort.
But you want to pay attention to that tiny glimmer of
something beneath all the rush of daily activities: a
tiny sigh of things not being achieved, of things not
yet seen and little hope of ever getting there
those
are the dreams you want to uncover. These are the what
ifs or I would love to or when I retire.
Unfortunately most of the time your hectic life drowns
these nudges out. You cant even hear this inner voice.
You run to places, eat on the fly, carpool and ferry
everyone around. Can you feel your blood pressure
rising just by reading this? Imagine what your real
blood pressure would be like if you took as you are on
the run! But lets go back to your signs or dreams.
What if you allowed your mind to wander to greener
pastures for a few seconds? Where does it end up? A
fishing vacation once a week
once a month
once a year?
Allow your thoughts to expand. Just the thought of
fishing helps you to relax and smile, doesnt it? Or
get excited, but it calms down your stress level. You
probably couldnt afford your present lifestyle by just
fishing, but a short trip is possible. Forget fishing!
How about learning how to cook professionally? Or
learning how to decorate or going on a safari. Or
training your dog in obedience. The experience is
simply a decision away. The shift in possibilities
allows you to be yourself. The very act of sitting
quietly for a few moments, allowing thoughts to rise
into your mind, helps you to discover your real self
(session by session). It also promotes a healthy,
relaxing lifestyle.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Romano was sitting on the curb, in the hot
sun, for nearly an hour before anyone came out to
see him. He wasn't losing hope because he knew
what was happening inside the warehouse.
The gang had a shock yesterday with Romano's
presence and the subsequent actions by the gang's
leaders. Both were still stunned by what happened
yesterday. They were no longer hurt or hurting,
but they were no longer the powerful force within
the gang they once were. Their talk was like that
of a "paper tiger", big words but no longer any
power behind them.
That put the gang in a temporary power vacuum
and they were presently rudderless. The confusion
had them sitting around not knowing what to do,
where to go or what was next. They were not used
to that feeling and it made them nervous.
Each member had their thoughts of the events
of yesterday. To a person, however, they thought
Romano had developed some kind of power over them
they could not see or recognize. Some were afraid
of him. Others were thinking long and hard on his
words. Still others were in complete confusion
over what happened. Romano changed their dynamics
and took each out of their comfort zone.
Sitting on the curb as he said he would,
Romano was waiting for the appearance of any of
the gang members who wanted to talk about higher
law. He expected at least one, the girl, whom he
had seen was interested. Had the gang not been in
disarray she may not come, but with the leaders
being without power she was going to venture
forth. This Romano knew from having read her
thoughts. He waited.
Soon she appeared. Slowly at first, for all
she did was stick her head around the corner of
the building. She then retreated, gathered herself
and then stepped out into full view.
Romano studied her. She was poorly dressed in
clothes that were torn and dirty. That didn't seem
to bother her within the gang for her activities
were mostly to service the men and that meant her
clothes were off her as much as they were on.
She walked up to him with faltering steps. She
really did not know what she was doing or what she
was about to begin. However, she felt no harm
would come to her, in fact she felt only love
coming from this man and it was a different kind
of love. She did not feel this man wanted anything
from her, but, instead was giving. She was not
used to that. If anything frightened her, that
did.
Slowly she approached Romano from behind. He
knew she was there, of course, but he did not let
on until he spoke, "Hello Juanita, come join me."
She jumped back. He had not turned to look at
her, or so she thought. He had not seen her. She
had not made any noise. How did he know she was
there? And how did he know her name?
"Don't be frightened. I knew you were coming
and I knew your name from yesterday. I thought you
would come to see me and I've been here just
waiting for you. Come, sit down." Romano's voice
was just as calm today as it was yesterday.
That calm voice conjured up memories from
yesterday. Juanita envisioned the events of
yesterday and now was not so sure she should be
here.
"Fear not Juanita. I will not harm you and the
gang is now so confused they will not harm you
either. I am not going to do anything but talk
with you, that is to say, if you'll allow me."
Slowly Juanita came and sat down near him, not
too close so he could reach her, but she did sit
down and she would listen.
"So why did you come Juanita?"
"Because of what you said yesterday 'If any
were interested in learning you would be here at
two o'clock."
"What would you like to learn?" All the while
Romano kept his voice calm and he broadcast love.
"What is it you do. How were you able to
defeat Pedro and Kelly so fast, and without doing
anything? How were you able to heal them again as
you did? Who are you? What are you?"
"Slow down Juanita. I am only a man. I used to
be a member of your gang a long time ago, until
one day I, too, came out onto a sidewalk to sit
and talk with a man who invited me, just as I
invited you. That day changed my life. I came back
to see if any of you might be interested in seeing
and learning what I learned."
That Romano had once been a gang member in
this gang did nothing to assuage her reluctance to
get too involved. Former member or not this man
had powers she did not know or trust. All men,
after all, were the same. All they ever wanted was
sex and after that they didn't give a damn about
her.

I have the joy of being able to stay home for most of the
day today. Although I am going into town late in the
afternoon I still have more time at home than I have for
a while. That's nice, when you live in paradise as I do.
That gives me time to spend with Mom and think
out a couple things.

HA! HA! HA!
A man tells his wife that he's going out to buy cigarettes.
When he gets to the store he finds out it's closed. So the
guy ends up going to the bar to use the vending machine.
While there, he has a few beers and begins talking to
this beautiful girl. He has a few more beer and the next
thing he knows he's in this girl's apartment and having
quite a pleasurable time. The next thing he know it
was 3:00 AM.
"Oh my, god, my wife is going to kill me!" he exclaimed.
"Quick give me some talcum powder!" She gets him
some and he rubs it all over his hands. When he got
home his wife is up waiting for him and she's furious.
"Where the hell have you been!"
He says, "Well to tell you the truth, I went into a bar, had
a few drinks, went home with this blonde and I slept with
her." "Let me see your hands!" she demands. He shows
his wife his powdery hands. "Damn liar, you were out
bowling again!"
