TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -

Do identical twins share the same fingerprints?
How many spiders are in an acre of rural land?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Is it possible for twins to have different fathers?
Yes. There have been several documented cases of women
giving birth to twins who had different fathers, including
cases where the children were of different races. To do so,
the mother had to have conceived both children in close
proximity. There has also been one recent case where a
mother gave birth to unrelated "twins." In that instance, the
mother underwent in vitro fertilization and had her own
child and the embryo of another couple accidentally
implanted in her.
What is the difference between fraternal and identical twins?
Fraternal twins are produced from two separate eggs and
are no more alike than any two siblings. Identical twins
are produced from the same egg, which splits in two, and
are genetically alike.

Tips And Tidbits
Here's an article from the New York Post
February 4, 2005 -- THE "Desperate Housewives" of
Wisteria Lane are desperate for a spinoff and might
get one.
"The network [ABC] has saved an area [on the schedule]
for me when I'm ready to write it," series creator
Marc Cherry tells the latest edition of TV Guide.
But "it's going to take me a couple of seasons before I
have the energy [and] time," he says. "I know another
angle on telling the stories of the people in this
neighborhood."
Cherry says cryptically that the new show would focus
on a "segment of Wisteria Lane's population . . . but
would be set somewhere else." Don Kaplan

EBay Spends Bigger on Advertising
USA Today, January 3, 2005
The big e-sellers don't have the huge real estate costs
of the bricks-and-mortar stores. But the online giants
are continuing to boost spending in one critical area:
advertising. Especially during the holidays. It's no
accident that eBay and Amazon.com might have
seemed almost as ever-present during the holidays
as department store Santas and mistletoe.
And yet another ...
(CBS) Has there ever been a brand name like
Google? Non-existent six years ago, its now a
part of the global language, as in, I Googled this,
or I Googled that, or I Googled you. To Google,
a verb, is to get an instant answer by using the
company's super-computer to look up anything
on the Internet.
What began as a school project is now worth
about as much as Ford and General Motors
combined, thanks to a stock that has roughly
doubled in price since the company went public
last August.
And for the first time since then, Google has
opened its doors, to let "60 Minutes" Google
them. Lesley Stahl reports.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin showed us an
electronic globe displaying the mountains of
Google searches happening around the world
at any given moment. Two-hundred million times
a day, someone, somewhere uses Google to
search for something on the Internet: an old
boyfriend; a new boyfriend; a new gadget; or
maybe a used car. Some searches are serious,
others, frivolous. Type in Paris Hilton, and Googles
computers - roughly 100,000 of them - search
the entire Internet for every mention of her
(6.5 million hits) and every picture (6,500 images)
in half a second.

Courage: How To Find It And Be Yourself
PART 8 of 8
Have you ever heard the principle that you become what
you think about most often? Do you think your questions
as to how, or maybe I could, or what if, could be
helpful? You bet! Personally I have become very aware
as soon as in find myself in situations where I choose
not to be, I need to initiate this resource. I need to
live through it, but I can do it on my own terms. Of
course no one knows I am doing it so it is perfectly
safe. The Power Pause has been tremendously helpful in
keeping me on track and feeling secure in my goals.
Actually I just remembered that I used it with my last
dental visit and didnt need any freezing!) Just
remembering this exercise, and then doing it,
immediately changes the feelings you are facing. I urge
you to try this. Even a minute of relaxation can
interrupt your strain and stress. Can you imagine what
a day or week or maybe month of relaxation can do for
you. It all starts with courage.
It takes courage to step out of the normal daily
routines. If you dont like where you are now, will
anything change in the next ten years?
Unless you do? Please exercise your courage and find
your self at some point in your life. The peace and
confidence in knowing you are doing what you are here
for, is rewarding and relaxing. Your underlying
characteristics will move you on to new, exciting
adventures.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Without saying a further word Romano vanished
and reappeared at Miguele's house where Oomano and
the baby had gone again today.
Juanita walked back into the warehouse. Her
mind was full of thoughts like she had never had
before. She was pensive. One of the gang members
grabbed her and wanted sex. While she permitted it
she was no longer "into" it as she had been
before. She had been shown a way out of this and
she could not get that thought out of her mind.
When the gang member was done with her she
straightened her clothes and got up. She walked
over to the makeshift table where others were
sitting.
"So you talked with Mr. High and Mighty. Did
he convinced you to leave as he left, that
turncoat? Did he tell you what I did to him? I'll
do it again when I get my hands on him." Pedro
virtually spat the word out as venomous as
possible.
"We did talk. He did tell me what you did to
him. I think it was cowardly. You had to have two
guys hold him so you could knife him to death. You
couldn't do it all by yourself. You will never
kill him. He is not worried about you. You are
only empty words." Juanita had no idea what she
had done. Her words just slipped out from an anger
within herself that she felt over being used by
these men with no appreciation of any kind.
"Why you little bitch!"
Juanita didn't see it coming. Pedro swung his
hand with a vicious force and caught her blind
side. It smashed into her face with a force that
knocked her off the chair. She thought he broke
her jaw. She lay there in pain. Pedro came over to
her and kicked her, hard, in the ribs. She heard
something snap. She now couldn't breath. She was
near unconscious.
The next thing she knew her clothes were being
ripped off her and she was exposed. Then she felt
a knife on her breasts. He cut an X across each of
them.
Then she felt herself penetrated. She was
being handled roughly. But now she was in a daze.
It was almost as if it was something that was
happening to someone else and she was a spectator.
She was lifted out of the pain and only watched.
Pedro insisted that all the men in the gang have
their way with her. She was used and abused as a
rubber doll until they were finished. She was
powerless to stop them. She couldn't even holler
or scream. When they were all done Pedro once more
brought his knife out. She lay there on her back
and watched as if in slow motion. He was kneeling
between her legs. He had a knife, both hands
raised above his head, then he brought the knife
down, fast. It penetrated her gut. She heard gas
leaving as the weight of his hands pushed harder.
He brought the knife out and this time he brought
his hands down again with the knife penetrating
her chest. She couldn't even gasp for she had no
air in her.
All she could remember was trying to get air.
It was all she could do to take a breath. She knew
she was dying and she thought she knew what was
going to happen. They were going to leave her
there until dark and then they would take her to
the dump just as they had done with Romano so long
ago. "Romano! I must call Romano." That was the
dominant thought within her now.
It took all the effort within her to hold a
picture of Romano in her mind. Once she had it she
called then fell into unconsciousness.
The next thing she knew she was being called.
"Juanita. Rise up and walk." The voice was that of
a woman. She did not recognize it. Somehow, within
her she felt cleansed, whole, pure, perfect and
fulfilled. She opened her eyes to see a lovely
woman standing over her, palms of her hands facing
her. She felt that remembered love she had felt
with Romano and now it was back, coming from this
woman. Juanita began to get up. She felt nothing
wrong with her in any way and she was now clothed
in completely new clothing.
"Welcome back!" Oomano smiled and then put her
arms around Juanita.
"Who are you?"
"I am Oomano, Romano's wife. When you called
him he thought we should both come. He is over
there."
Earlier, when he and Oomano arrived, Romano
had caused all the present members of the gang to
freeze in position. But for their heads they were
unable to move about.
"Pedro you are like all cowards. You
only pick a fight when you know you have an
incapacitated opponent or a weaker one. You have
yet to fight an equal. You have a filthy mind that
is entirely selfish. You use women solely for your
own pleasure and care not they are humans as well.
You even use your gang members to do your own
bidding. Your time has come for you will no longer
offend any woman, neither will you have any power
over any person from this day forward. The very
instant you put a hand on any female, even a child
or your grandmother you will have excruciating
pain in your testicles. You will never again be
able to touch any female, even animals, without
having this pain. It will hurt you for days every
time you have it. You will never again be able to
have an erection while, at the same time, you will
become more sexually motivated than you have in
the past. Such is the way you have asked. To all
you other male gang members your fate shall be
likewise. Unto you women who failed to help your
sister in need, you too shall be extraordinarily
motivated toward sex, but one touch from a man
will cause a burning pain in each breast and in
your groin. This pain will render you sexually
useless."

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!
"The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is
not in your environment; it is not in luck or chance, or the

HA! HA! HA!
A game warden noticed how a particular fellow named
Sam consistently caught more fish than anyone else.
Whereas the other guys would only catch three or four
fish a day, Sam would come in from the lake with a
boat full of fish. Stringer after stringer was packed with
freshly caught trout. The warden, curious, asked Sam
his secret. The successful fisherman invited the game
warden to accompany him and observe.
So the next morning, the two met at the dock and took
off in Sam's boat. When they got to the middle of the
lake, Sam stopped the boat, and the warden sat back
to see how it was done.
Sam's approach was simple: He took out a stick of
dynamite, lit it, and threw it into the air. The explosion
rocked the lake with such a force that dead fish
immediately began to surface. Sam took out a net
and started scooping them up.
Well, you can imagine the reaction of the game
warden. When he recovered from the shock of it all,
he began yelling at Sam, "You can't do this! I'll put
you in jail, buddy! You will be paying every fine
there is in the book!"
Sam, meanwhile, set his net down and took out
another stick of dynamite. He lit it and tossed it in
the lap of the game warden with these words:
"Are you going to sit there all day complaining, or a
re you going to fish?"
