When was the first woman elected governor in the US?

Who was the only man to speak at the first women's
rights convention in 1848?

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------

What is the Leanan-Sidhe?

The Leanan-Sidhe is an Irish fairy, often thought to be the
inspiration of poets and minstrels. Her name means "the fairy
sweetheart." In Ireland, she's regarded as a positive spirit.
However, those on the Isle of Man regard the sweetheart
fairy as a vampirish creature, who attaches herself to a single
person until she has drained the life force out of him. That's
why poets are often said to live intense and passionate lives,
but to die young.

Who was the first woman in space?

Valentina V. Tereshkova of the USSR went into space in
1963. She made 48 orbits of the earth in a three-day mission.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
-----------------

Jokes Don't Always Get It Right!

- God grant me the Senility to forget the people I never
liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference.
- Now that I'm older, here's what I've discovered: I started
out with nothing and I still have most of it.
- My wild oats have turned to prunes and All Bran.
- I finally got my head together, now my body is falling apart.
- Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
- All reports are in. Life is now officially unfair.
- If all is not lost, where is it?
- It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.
- I wish the buck stopped here. I sure could use a few.
- It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been
anywhere.
- If God wanted me to touch my toes, He would have put
them on my knees.
- When you're finally holding all the cards, why does
everyone else decide to play chess?
- It's not hard to meet expenses .... They're everywhere.

As you might expect I enjoyed the little respite above. Yet it
bothers me too. You see the tone or the underlying message
is that old age is not so nice.

That, of course, is a completely wrong concept except for
those who want to think that way. What bothers me is that
you and I are reading such material and as we do so over
the years we slowly come to wonder if old age is like that.
Then we begin to think it is like that and eventually we will
come to believe it is that kind of life to which we can look
forward.

The entire process is subtle and sinister over time and it
sucks folks into believing old age is like that. I am not one
to believe it any more than I choose to believe that
happiness is a result of external circumstances. One, at
any point in life, can choose and must choose to be happy.
That alone is the cause of one's happiness. It has nothing
whatever to do with situations outside ourselves. The same
is true of being fat, or skinny, healthy or unhealthy, fit or unfit.
And those same abilities to choose follow us from our first
breath to our last.

Old age is like the joke above if you want it to be that way.
On the other hand it can be much fun, too. If I have one thing
against "old folks homes" in this country it is that one point.
Once a person enters such a place to live you can literally
seen them adjust downward to be like the average tenant.
What we should be doing is putting our old folks into "young
folks homes" and let them strive to keep up with the joy and
enthusiasm of youth. Then you would see them step upward
to meet the condition in front of them.

All I am saying here is be careful what ideas you absorb
over your lifetime and from what source. Some are subtle
and sinister in their cumulative effect. Consider ...

HOW TO CHOOSE A NUTRITIONAL
SUPPLEMENT: A "Multivitamin" Safely And Wisely
Part 5 of 5

Lifestyle & Nutrition: Key Factors In Health
How do you know what to take unless you are an expert?
Chances are you won't know how to combine all the
required items, including all the co-factors. Trust someone
who knows...it will most likely be the manufacturer who
has already done the initial research and has participated
in the scientific process for the basic supplement. Get
advice from someone who knows the company and its
products if you are going to add any other products.
These products will work synergistically.

Your goal is to choose an appropriate, value packed
product. But in light of all the products you are faced with
and that you are NOT going to choose, knowing a little
of the science behind the manufacturing process will
help you stand firm in your decision. You will learn a little
about "free radicals", anti-oxidants, and the oxidative
process...the wearing out or rusting out of your body.
Then your decisions will be based on facts and wisdom.

It is important to remember that you are totally responsible
for what goes on in your body. So you have to know what
you need and what it will do to or for you. It doesn't matter
if it's a vegetable or a supplement. The responsibility is
yours alone. You may ask for advice, but the end decision
is yours. What you put in should help your entire body
stay healthy: be it food at the dinner table or a supplement
to complement the food just eaten. In choosing a nutritional
supplement, please consider that you don't know what
your body actually needs or how you could find the required
ingredients. Also, you wouldn't know how to formulate the
necessary product.

If you are already taking supplements, compare them, using
these guidelines? And if you are already taking supplements,
but not getting the desired results, maybe you should consider
switching. According to the AMA, health is yours for the
taking...of nutritional supplements.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

<><><><>

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

They were both laughing so hard they were weak
Tim let go of her hands and fell upon her, giving
her a big hug. In jest she shrieked again and
began thumping his back with her hands, and
kicking her legs. It was to no avail. She knew she
wasn't going to move him. She didn't want to.
Lying there under him she felt his warmth, his
strength. She put her arms around him and hugged.

Tim lifted his head to look into her eyes.
"You finished beating on me?"

"Kiss me you dumb nut. I love you."

Tim did just that. It went much further than
just a friendly kiss. It went immediately into a
passionate kiss.

He worked his tongue around on her lips and
she parted them. They were intertwining their
tongues. Their breathing was fast and raspy.
Sharon began to moan and to move her groin up to
his. He joined in the movement and pushed his
groin down upon her. She moaned the more.

Then he whispered in her ear, "Sharon we
better stop. We're only seconds from being out of
control."

She whispered back. "Yeah! I know. Don't you
love it?" She thrust into him again. "Oooo! I
think you are responding to me." She could feel
his manhood at her groin. Stay there Tim and just
move quietly and slowly."

Tim didn't take much coaxing. He began a slow
rhythmical motion to which she responded. They
were both breathing hard. They were both lost in
one another and in their lust. They were both
moaning with pleasure. Then Tim stopped. He pushed
hard against her and stayed there.

They both came down from their lust and just
lay there in each others arms."Maybe we should
watch some TV."

"I think you're right." Sharon wanted this to
continue but she didn't want it to continue. It
was just one of those awkward situations all
lovers go through it they mutually decide to
abstain.

Up they got to go watch some TV. It was
disappointing but that is what they did. Tim
surfed the channels and didn't find much of
interest. He finally settled on a sitcom.

Sharon brought him a coffee and sat down next
to him. She put her head on his shoulder, and he
put his arm around her. "Gee it's hard isn't it?"
Sharon was referring to their decision not to have
sex.

"Yeah! I really don't want to do it, but I do
think we will be the happier for it. Can you last
out do you think?"

"I think so, but every time we get together it
seems I get weaker and weaker."

"Me, too. I'll be glad when this next month
is over. When you graduate then we can
legitimately speak of marriage. Then we'll be on
our way."

"Oh! I hope so. I don't think I can wait that
long. I want to eat you up right now. I don't ever
want to leave your side. I want to be with you
always. How long does that last I wonder?"

"I imagine we'll be like that for a year
anyway."

"I hope it lasts forever." Sharon was in a
state of bliss and didn't want it to end. She
snuggled up to Tim and put her hand at his groin.

"Keep that up and we'll be in trouble again."
He warned her.

She pushed the harder.

"You really want trouble don't you. You're
making it hard for me to behave myself, you know."

"I know. That's what I like. I can have as
much fun as I like and you can't touch me." Sharon
laughed. She knew what she was doing. It was a
"thing" between them.

"Maybe we should go over to our place for a
coffee with Mom and Dad. That will keep you
entertained other than at my expense." Tim laughed
at her.

"Okay."

Having said that they were in the Henry
kitchen in an instant. "Hi folks!"

"Hi you guys!" Alewka responded. "What are you
two up to."

"We came over here for some protection. I
can't get away from this wench, so I brought her
here where she would have to behave herself." Tim
felt a slap on his shoulder and laughed.

"Mrs. Henry. He's teasing me."

"I see that. Tim leave her alone."

"Mom! You don't know what she's like when
we're alone. She's a vixen in disguise." He
laughed again. Tim was enjoying this. He knew he
was getting even with Sharon for all the teasing
she did to him.

Why just the other day, she got mad when she announced
that she was going to the beauty parlor.

I asked, "are you going in for an estimate or are you going
to get the work done?"
