There you go folks! 15 things we all do from time to time
and here we all thought we were perfect.
This is a cute little reminder of our faults and foibles. I am
sure many of us have more or can think of more, but that
isn't the point.
The point is it really helps to look at ourselves once in
a while and come to the realization that no matter how
much we like ourselves there are likely some habits we
possess that annoy others. Too, we have habits that
are harmful to ourselves.
The realization helps us understand that it takes all
kinds of people to make up this world and truly, that is
wonderful. It should not matter what our religion, creed,
nationality, heritage, color of skin. All these things go to
be the interwoven fabric of society and keeps it healthy.
Learn to love it, seek it out, appreciate it.
All men in all walks of life in all countries and crossing
all religious faiths and cultures, are still ... men. (this
includes men, women and children)
The sooner we realize that, and appreciate that, the
sooner we will have peace that is meaningful. It is simply
permitting others the right to live their lives they way
they think best.
The joke above is only a scratch, a tip of the iceberg, of
some of the things we all do. It is good to recognize you
are just as offensive or just as acceptable as any other
human being in this earth.

Head Aches Or Headaches...Why?
PART 1 of 7
I frequently get requests about headaches. Although
many people want immediate treatments, my purpose is to
help you find possible causes and why they impact your
body the way they do. This will help you to understand
your body better. This allows you to be in control of
your health. It will be you who decides if anything
needs to be changed. You alone know just how any
changes will impact your life. So lets explore what
goes on in your head normally. Well discuss the normal
anatomy and physiology. You will learn what happens
when your head aches, and then there will be some
suggestions if you choose to make some changes. If you
choose not to make any changes, then at least you will
have made an informed decision. Please remember that
this information is just for interest. It is not any
sort of executive summary of the brain and its
function.
Do this interesting research in Google. Breakup the
word headaches. Enter head and you get 162,000,000
links. Enter aches...and you get 2,080,000 links. Or
try headaches and you get 6,040,000. Thats millions of
links! All for headaches! If you dont look at all the
parts that make up the word headaches you will remain
ignorant of many potential choices. And as I remind you
so frequently, this is YOUR body: no one elses. And
this ache impacts your lifestyle and may also
influence other peoples lives. But ultimately, it is
your choice where you will make changes: no one else
can do that.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

The temperature had dropped to -40 on the
Celsius scale, which pretty much matched 40 below
zero on the Fahrenheit scale. Snow was up past
the knees and the wind was blowing fierce. Weather
like this killed people, fast. If one was not
prepared or did not know how to protect themselves
from the vicious wind, then death would surely be
a part of their day.
There were no travelers out this day, neither
were there any vehicles. The denizens of this land
were all "hunkered" down for the duration of the
storm. Travelers at this time of year were used to
any kind of storm coming upon them. Most traveled
with skin tents that they erected each evening or
when they stopped.
The road was drifted over. Roads here were not
the high grade roads built back in America. They
were merely tracks that had bee graded over and
had some gravel on them. Neither were they well
maintained. The summer rains had done a good job
of carving out holes, as had the freeze thaw cycle
over many years.
As Mae and Susan made their way down the road
they saw a couple mounds with sticks emerging from
the top. The winds had blown the snow all around
them and piled it high. It was clear the tent had
been there some days. First the snow, about seven
inches of it, had fallen on the tent, covering it
completely. Then the winds came up and was blowing
more snow over it, to settle down on the lee side
of the tent. A large drift was showing itself in
the middle of construction. This one had blown
over the door or entrance way to the tent and the
occupants would have some digging to do to extract
themselves.
Mae and Susan, living by higher law were able
to form an environmental envelope around
themselves. Therein they controlled the wind, the
snow and the temperature. They removed the snow
right down to the roadbed and the "envelope" kept
out the wind. The ladies simply raised the
temperature to a comfortable one and continued
their walk. Conditions would return to former
conditions once the ladies passed.
There were no cities this far north in China.
The largest congregation of man might be 1000.
That would not be in any apparently well organized
city or village. Buildings appeared where an owner
wanted them with no thought given to a plan,
access, movement of traffic. Life was not
commercial here. Only the basics of life were
provided by some suppliers and they knew everyone
in the village. While they had what one might call
a store it was really only a building in which
goods were stacked. At any time when one walked
into such a store you would be able to see
merchandise that had been there the first day the
merchant opened for business.
Not much was based on decorum here.
Merchandise was not wrapped, frozen, packaged,
cured, boiled or preserved. What you saw is what
you got.
Neither was there any visible plan on which
the village was built. It was clear to a visiting
eye that the village grew randomly and likely over
centuries.
As Mae and Susan approached there was no sign
of life in the village. All were inside out of the
way of the storm. This was a day to rest, visit
with family or anyone else who might be visiting,
drink tea and generally just take it easy. The
most difficult job this day was that of keeping
the surroundings warm.
This far north there was not much in the way
of wood for burning. Mostly the fuel they burned
were cow chips, horse buns and the like. The
interior of any building was always cool and
people wore their outside clothing inside,
including their footwear.
One would think this was a primitive way of
life, and I suppose it was although the people of
this village did the same as folk in villages all
over the world, even talked about the same things.
Conversations would be about neighbors, or what
one was planning for when the storm was over. They
would talk of new merchandise down at the store.
The ladies, when families got together, would all
congregate in one spot and the men in another with
the children going between them if they weren't
playing. Any social life here developed the same
result as the community fires did in the village
from which the two ladies had come.
Light was offered by oil lamps. The oil was
not of the ground but animal fats that had been
rendered down as fine as these people could get
them. Sometimes there would be wax candles. None
used power except the big government building. Big
was a relative term. The building was a one storey
structure that may have been 100 feet long and 30
feet deep. Half of the building was not in use,
even for storage. It was thought of as being big
because none of the rest of the structures in this
village were larger than maybe 400 square feet.
Any house people lived in would be only one
room. That is where they cooked, ate, washed,
slept or did anything else families, or members
thereof, do.

HA! HA! HA!
Bubba and Earl, were driving down the road drinking a
couple of bottles of Bud. The passenger, Bubba, said,
"Lookey thar up ahead, Earl, it's a po-lice roadblock!
We're gonna get busted fer drinkin' these here beers!!"
"Don't worry, Bubba," Earl said. "We'll just pull over and
finish drinkin' these beers, peel off the label and stick it
on our foreheads, and throw the bottles under the seat."
"What fer?" asked Bubba
"Just let me do the talkin', OK?" said Earl.
Well, they finished their beers, threw the empty bottles
under the seat, and each put a label on their forehead.
When they reached the roadblock, the sheriff said, "You
boys been drinkin'?"
"No sir," Earl said. "We're on the patch."
