In men's underwear, what do the initials "BVD" stand for?

How did "archer fish" get their name?

Archer fish have a unique way of capturing prey that is
reminiscent of an archer. They "shoot" arcs of water
droplets at insects sitting on vegetation near water. The
droplets knock the bugs into the water and the fish dine.

What exactly are "El Nino" and "La Nina"?

Basically, El Nino and La Nina are climate phenomena. El
Nino happens about every four years when sea surface
temperatures in the equatorial Pacific are warmer than
usual. La Nina occurs when water temperatures are cooler
than normal. Fortunately, both have ended. Global weather
should therefore be more normal (whatever that is) for
awhile.

Health Question About
Fibromyalgia & Arthritis
PART 2 of 5

HEALTH QUESTION: Hi there, I have a question. I had an x-ray
confirming I have "degenerative lippings" in my neck. Is this
Osteoarthritis? I am 32, what can I expect to happen in the
future as I age?
(1) Will this cripple me?
(2) I also have fibromyalgia.... which is painful, but at least it isn't
degenerative!
(3) Any help you can offer in answering my questions is greatly
appreciated... as I have searched a bunch of different websites,
but none actually specify what "degenerative" lippings are.
(4) Since I have had the Fibromyalgia in my upper back, I have the
degenerative lippings, I have had constant "bloatedness"
(5) I now have a sluggish bowel, occasional swelling of my
leg calves, eyes sore & swollen, jaw aches, inflamation in
my shoulders, neck & upper back. I never sleep well, wake
sore and unrefreshed. I feel like I am 90
(6)! Thanks so much for you're time.

Let's revisit the terms: aging & degeneration. Aging is a
normal, natural process and has nothing to do with disease. It
starts at birth and ends in death. We all go through it and
can't avoid it.

Degeneration is seen as becoming UNLIKE the other. Pertaining to
a disease, it is the deterioration or impairment of the
structure or function of the specific body part. Some examples
of this condition are arteriosclerosis (hardening of the
arteries), brain tumours, cancer, and osteoarthritis.
Degeneration is usually caused by an injury or disease state
that results in loss of function. In some instances, it is
caused by an inflammatory process, infection, or other negative
health situation. If you choose to relate it to a standard of
excellence use "10" as the benchmark. It is the lowering of that
standard to a "3" or "4". And it's usually an ongoing process
unless it is halted by some method. That means that the reader
can only expect to have things get worse. (2) According to the
American Medical Association, a complete and balanced
nutritional supplement in optimum amounts will help your
situation.

mailto:jama2@rr-email.com

Can you see the difference? We can choose to age with or without
degeneration. However, we sometimes have little control over our
environment. For instance a hockey player or football player
could have a much greater chance of having arthritis than
someone who works on a computer has. (Of course he/she could
stop playing hockey.)

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby

--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to
http://www.the-pebble.com OR order yours from
your favorite bookstore. ISBN # 1-4137-4723-X

As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Billy turned in his sitting position. "Come, sit and
let's talk."

The two adults sat at the far end of the semi circle.

"Today, I'd like to talk about black magic." Billy made
his voice low and scary.

The kids eyes widened as they looked at him.

"Sounds scary doesn't it kids? Well it isn't. Do you
know what the term black magic means?"

He waited for some of the kids to answer. Finally a girl
in the back row held up her hand. "That's when someone casts
a spell on you and hurts you, maybe kills you."

"That's right. But the words actually are just words
like 'bird' or 'grass'. The words themselves are just words
and mean nothing, that is until you give them meaning. In
your case you use the term black magic to explain things
that happen for which you have no other logical explanation.
In the United States, where I come from, we call it a
miracle or magic. Does that make sense to you?"

There was a general consensus, even from the adults.

"There is one difference between what you conjure up in
your mind and what I conjure up in mine. You see, here, you
think black magic is evil, bad, no good. So you have a
tendency to be afraid of it, even if you don't know what it
is. In the States we have a more positive view. We don't
think of it as evil. We see it as something more positive
and, for the most part, we are not afraid of it. So, here is
the point I want to make; something can be good or bad in
direct proportion to what you decide it is.

Most of the time, here, when someone tries to practice
what you call black magic, they are trying to hurt someone.
They attempt to use it to gain the things they want and they
use your own fear as a tool against you. That means that if
you believe what they are telling you then you will be hurt.

Some of you or your parents think that what I do is
black magic, yet I seek not to hurt you. If I don't want to
hurt you, but help you what then is it called?"

There was no answer from anyone. "Why don't we call it
'life'? That's right. What I do is made possible because I
have learned to do those things. It is like when one of you
goes to the big city. There you see and do things you have
not seen and done here. The moment you are in the big city
is the moment you have changed your life forever. It means
only that you have seen and learned new stuff, right?"

The kids nodded.

"Well, I am going to teach you new stuff. That is all I
am going to do. We will work together for a whole big bunch
of time, many suns, and many moons. All the stuff I know I
will teach you and when you are ready then you can do the
things I can do. Would you like that?"

The kids were perplexed. Many did not know who Billy was
or what things he could do. The questioning was in their
eyes.

"Just as I thought. Most of you don't even know what I
can do. Let me ask you this. How many of you are thirsty?
Would you like a drink?"

"Yeeaaahh!" The answer came in unison from every one
sitting.

"Look at the ground in front of you. What do you see?"

Some of the kids said "A cup of water."

"Good. Pick it up and have a drink. You will find it
tastes good. So long as you hold that cup in your hands it
will be full of water no matter how much you drink. When you
put it on the ground and take your hand away the cup will
disappear."

The kids were amazed. So were the two adults. They
drank.

"Have you all had a drink? Good. Now I want you all to
put the cup down and take your hands off it."

All but one of the adults did as they were told. The
cups all disappeared.

"AaaHa! Look kids. We have someone here who is testing
me. She didn't want to let go of her cup. Where are your
cups, for the rest of you?"

The kids all looked around as if they might find them
someplace. There were no cups to be seen.

"We can't find them."

Billy looked to the lady who was still holding her cup.
He signaled for her to put it down. She did and right
before her eyes the cup disappeared.

"Do you know you, too, can do this?" Billy waved both
his arms and hands over the crowd, imbuing them with love.
They each felt it.

"I want each of you to close your eyes. In your minds
eye, where you see all those pictures, I want you to see a
picture of that cup you had. When it is really clear, I want
you to see it full of water. Then I want you to see it on
the ground in front of you. Don't open your eyes. I just
want you to see this in your mind. When you all have a good
clear picture of the cup full of water sitting on the ground
I want you to raise your hands."

Almost every hand shot up immediately. Within a minute
all hands were up.

"Now, I want you to wave your hands if you believe the
cup is actually on the ground in front of you. Don't open
your eyes yet. Believe it is there. Know it is there. Now
open your eyes."

Everyone looked at the ground immediately. Every person
had a cup of water in front of them.

"Good. Now sip the water you made. Isn't it good?"

They all drank.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?

Garble: Where does the word "garble" come from?

From the Arabic word for "sieve" - ghirbal. At first
"garble" meant "to sort out" ans was applied to the
selection and sorting out of individual passages from a
man's writings. But the persons who made the excerpts often
edited and changed the context considerably; and so
"garbled" came to mean "mixed and mutilated."
