Why are women more at risk from static electricity fires at

One unusual finding by researchers is that 78 percent of
static electricity fires at gas pumps involve female
customers. It has been suggested that the reason more women
are fire-prone is that they tend to get back in their cars
once they begin fueling to retrieve purses with credit cards
or cash. That makes them more likely to pick up static. It
may also be that women wear clothing that makes them more
static-prone.
Are porcupines and hedgehogs related?
About the only thing that porcupines and hedgehogs have in
common are their quills and the fact that they're both
mammals. They aren't related at all. Porcupines belong to
the order rodentia, or the rodent order. They are related to
rats and mice. Hedgehogs are from the order insectivora, an
insect-eating group that also includes shrews and moles.

Moses and his flock arrive at the sea, with the Egyptians in
hot pursuit.
Moses calls a staff meeting.
Moses: Well, how are we going to get across the sea? We need
a fast solution. The Egyptians are close behind us.
The General of the Armies: Normally, I'd recommend that we
build a pontoon bridge to carry us across. But there's not
enough time - the Egyptians are too close.
The Admiral of the Navy: Normally, I'd recommend that we
build barges to carry us across. But time is too short.
Moses: Does anyone have a solution?
Just then, his Public Relations man raises his hand.
Moses: You! You have a solution?
The PR Man: No, but I can promise you this: If you can find
a way out of this one, I can get you two or three pages in
the Old Testament.
Funny isn't it. There's always a PR man around but he
doesn't solve the problem. I get a kick out of the quick
witted. I appreciate their sense of humor. Yet Moses had a
problem, according to this joke.
It appears as if he had worked himself into a corner. Now
where does he go? Have you ever done that? Have you
ever found out you neglected to think things through and
when questioned about them found more questions than
you can or want to answer because you know you had
not been thorough?
Or have you ever walked into a situation where you found
yourself in a responsible position but have not yet found
all the answers yourself?
Wow! What do you do? Maybe we should all throw up
our hands in the air, like Moses.
May I suggest honesty in this situation? It will always get
you further ahead than any other course of action. People
may not like what you tell them but that is infinitely
better to them and for them than any stalling, lying or
trying to avoid the issue. People will respect your
integrity, they will abhor your falsehoods. Face the music
head on and be a straight shooter. That will get you
respect, results and another chance. Fail to take this
approach and you will pay the price.

But the body has a great alarm system called the inflammatory
process. And this alarm system will try to overpower the
intruder. It does this by bringing extra fluid to the area,
which contains all sorts of good things, including the actual
fluid to wash away the "problem" and special cells to eat it
away. So one possibility is a virus. If it's that, it should
disappear after a while. There isn't much to be done. Sometimes
doctors will prescribe antibiotics after a length of time has
passed. Next it could be a bacteria or infection. Again you
could get an antibiotic but if it persists, you'll know it's not
that. How about chemicals? Did you know that many drugs have
tinnitus as a side effect? That means this ringing is produced
by a chemical being released into your body. But what if you
don't take any drugs.how about other chemicals? You are
surrounded by chemicals all day long. And frequently, you get
them on your skin, into your nasal passages, into your eyes, or
through your mouth as you breathe and just "live". These are all
ways for it to enter your body.
How would this affect the hearing nerve to get the ringing? That
would be a reaction of the nerve to this fluid. I want you to
picture a field of grass under water. This water is creating a
lot of pressure per square inch. So the more water, the more
pressure. Do you think the pressure could block the nerve? And
could this block or pressure distort the signals bound for the
brain? Yes. Could it follow that the more chemicals would create
more pressure? So your job now is to really pay attention to
your body's exposure to chemicals...unless you take any drugs.
Then check those out first. Ask your pharmacist or go online and
type "drugs that cause tinnitus" into Google.com. The results
will surprise you! If you don't take any drugs, check your blood
pressure. Sometimes high blood pressure does this to people.
Then explore all sorts of chemicals in your home. From bathroom
and shower cleaners to things kept in the basement, garage, or
attic. And check what you put on your lawn.

Chavez Is On His Way!
Well Chavez is at it. He has imposed price controls,
ostensibly to gain control of the economy.
The result - empty shelves. Industry and commerce claims
there is no profit at the prices he has imposed, therefore
there is no point in spending any money to lose money.
Consequently grocer’s shelves are empty.
Chavez, on the other hand, claims grocers shelves are empty
because unscrupulous profiteers are unwilling to take the
lower profits he has offered.
Here we go folks. Mess number one and believe me it will get
worse, far worse.
Oh well, as we learned yesterday, if he was smart he would
set off a nuclear weapon and he would be able to get
anything he wanted from the free world. The precedent has
now been set.
Interesting enough I thought the U.S. had a long standing
policy of not dealing with terrorists. They sure changed
their mind in a hurry. It won’t be long before Chavez has it
figured out. He will get what he wants, you watch.
