You can break a long text entry into separate lines by
positioning the insertion point in the cell entry ,
at the place where you want the new line to start
and pressing Alt+Enter. Excel expands the row containing
the cell when it starts a new line. When you
press Enter to complete the entry or edit, Excel automatically
wraps the text in the cell, according to the cell's column width
and the position of the line break.

In A Terminal Illness, Everyone
Needs Care
PART 3 of 9
In a terminal illness, the patient isn't the only one to
need support. Everyone connected to the dad has
their own set of needs and issues to live & work through.
None is right or wrong. They exist because the family
members are lovingly present and want to be a part
of the care team. Ironically, if he were in a care facility,
he would be subject to a lot of bureaucracy and the
needs of those caregivers. An added dimension! Let's
look at some of the other family members' needs: the
daughter who shares most of the caregiving. She is
the one who so desperately wants her dad to say
home: to fulfill her (suspected) part of the bargain. She
has her own family to care for, yet spends a lot of her
time looking after her dad. She has offered to increase
her participation to help her mother. Still, at this point,
she isn't the primary caregiver. Her needs are to keep
her promise and to look after her family during this
time. Of course no one knows just how long all this
will go on for. My friend, another daughter, looks on.
She sees all this turmoil, loves everyone, and doesn’t
feel she should comment too much as she can only
help on Sundays. Next: the mom . . . she is at risk here,
psychologically, physically, and emotionally. This is
her husband of many years. They have had a very
prosperous life and have done all kinds of travelling.
As well, they raised their family to be close and
supportive. This illness, as happens in most cancers,
has gone on for several years. Hope comes and
goes . . . new drugs are tried: remissions come and
go. It's physically draining and emotionally very hard
to live with day by day. And only the mother has had
to do this much adjusting to the changing conditions.
And now every treatment avenue has been exhausted
and the end of fighting for any sort of hope is gone.
This starts a new phase... the most difficult one: the
end of one type of caring and the physical and emotional
activities of a caregiver . . . to someone who has been
the leader in your life.

The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was

"I had been studying the matter over several lifetimes,
but always I thought I had responsibilities. I permitted

I was a big wheel, tough and invincible. I see also the
futile life most people lead, thinking they are doing the
right thing. I don't mean to say they are doing wrong, they
are doing the best they know how, but they are falling so
far short of the mark I feel sorry for them
sometimes." said Romano.
"They are, Romano, but higher law is available to all.
Each must search it out themselves. There is nothing we
can do but slowly guide them in the right direction. When
one displays interest you can work with them, but not
until." said Mazunta.
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if all were living by higher
law?" asked Romano.
"All men did at one time! What do you think the story of
the Garden of Eden is about? When men decided that
possession was more important than use he fell out of
touch with higher law. When greed became more important
than giving he was booted out of the garden. When taking,
keeping, hoarding became man's watchword, instead of
loving, giving, caring, he was then receiving the fruits of
the law as he expressed the law. Man threw himself out
of the garden and then he taught his children how to be
like him. Over the centuries only the few thinkers have
found their way back, and they are trying to help those
who show promise." said Mazunta.
"How is it you found me? I was a hood, a thug, I have hurt
so many people I was the least worthy." asked Romano.
"One cannot earn their way to heaven by good deeds
Romano. One does not earn their way into higher law. It
does not come to man because he is a good man. It is
available to all men. It comes only to those who recognize it,
and that is what you did. You saw through the veil of simplicity
and were willing to commit your life to something different
than what you were doing. All men can do likewise. Being
good doesn't cut it, but having a loving, caring heart can sure
make the process easier. Yet all a man need do is recognize
the truths and make a decision to proceed into learning
higher law." answered Mazunta.
"I am amazed it is available to all men. It is like the sun. It is
made to shine on the just and the unjust. All can reap the
benefit of the life force. It's amazing and wonderful. I am glad
I learned. Now look at what is happening to me. I am going
to marry a wonderful woman who lives by higher law and
my life is completely turned around. Thank you for working
with me." Romano looked at Mazunta.
"It is not I, Romano, but you who made the decision. All I
was able to do was show you the options. It was you who
decided to go this way. A lot of men in your position would
have decided to stay where they were, after all you were at
the head of your gang. Relatively speaking you gave up a
lot to learn this new way." answered Mazunta.
"I did not. I gave up pain, bondage, and
ignorance." said Romano.
"So say you this day, but then you thought you were an
important man. It is the same with all men. Once they learn
to give up what is near and dear to them they place
themselves in a position to commit to living by higher law.
Once they do they then look back, as you, and claim they
left behind pain, bondage and ignorance. All men at all
stations in life are the same. None are different. They think
so but they fool themselves." said Mazunta.
"How are the children of this village coming? Are they
learning higher law?" asked Romano.
"There are many who listen to Bueno, Boolanga, David and I.
We force nothing. If we act in ways that appeal to the children
they progress. Many are on the verge of becoming masters.
As they mature they will be able to make their final choice.
Their parents are looking on, learning, watching. They
encourage their children to be like us. Many of the adults,
too, are getting closer. Boolanga is working with five now. In
the years ahead I can see the whole village living by higher
law. It grows where there is fertile ground." said Mazunta.
