Do penguins live at the North Pole?

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Why doesn't a spider get caught in its own web?
Spiders don't get caught on their own webs primarily
because they know where the sticky areas are. Webs
are made up of two types of silk. Only one type is sticky,
and spiders generally don't enter the sticky areas unless
they've retrieving their stuck prey. Even then, the spider
uses its ultrasensitive hairs to tiptoe across the sticky
threads. The spider may sometimes get stuck on a few
sticky nodules, but is usually strong enough to pull free.
The prey never had a chance. Caught unawares by
the nearly invisible web, the victim touches so many
sticky nodules at once that he becomes securely
fastened in place.
Are fish more abundant in cold ocean water or warm water?
Most people would guess that ocean life is more abundant
in warm water. They'd be wrong. All kinds of marine
life - plant and animal - are more abundant in colder
waters. Many of the best fishing grounds are found in the
coldest places. Why? Cold water holds more dissolved
gases, such as oxygen and carbon dioxide, that marine
plants need to photosynthesize. The more plant food you
have, the more fish and sea mammals you'll see. Antarctic
waters are simply teeming with microscopic plankton
that attracts whales and fish.

STRANGE BITS AND PIECES!
by Gauher Chaudhry
http://www.amusingfacts.com
The reason the Animal Crackers box is designed with a string
handle is because when the popular circus theme was
introduced in 1902, they thought it would also be a good idea
to package them with a string as a Christmas novelty so they
could be hung from Christmas trees.

3 Places To Legally
Hide Your Keywords
by Valerian Dinca
It does not matter what the purpose of your website might
be. With no doubt, for the success of your website, traffic
is essential otherwise you are creating a wonderful place
that will never be seen by anyone other than yourself.
From the point of view of search engines, traffic is stored
in keywords.Search engines read the text of your site. That
text must be relevant to the site. Keywords are text and
must be strategically placed throughout your site. Those
keywords within the text play an important
role to attract customers attention to your site.
Here are 3 places you may strategically and legally place
your keys
1. <h> Tags
Webmasters use <h> Tags to make the web site easier to
understand and navigate, to emphasize the page heading,
and subheadings for each section. By the consequence,
the search engines algorithm consider the <h> Tags area
very important and pays a special attention to the words
listed in this field.
2. Alt Tags
Alt Tags are located in the area which describes the images
you use. First of all chose a relevant name for every image,
not just 'image1'. That helps. Secondly use Alt Tags to
emphasize the power of image placing here one or more
keywords related to the image's content.
3. Attributes In Links
Most people never use this attribute. Here it is an example:
<a href="<http://www.yoursite.com>" title="House
Plans">YourSite</a> Note the title="..." segment in the hyperlink,
it contains the keywords 'House Plans' (supposing that your
site is for selling house plans).

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -
In A Terminal Illness, Everyone
Needs Care
PART 9 of 9
So I urge you, the reader, to give a little thought to
your own needs if you were caught in this type of
situation. What would you do? What would you want?
Where? And this can be done very diplomatically,
without dramatics or hurt feelings, at this stage of
life. I learned early on in my nursing career, that any
drug, including alcohol, no matter how small, clouded
regular, coherent thought. (Isn't that why people take
drugs in the first place . . . to avoid some feelings, to
feel differently?) So too, as your health deteriorates,
and drugs are used to deaden the pain, your clear
thinking would be compromised. Then any decision
you might make would probably not be the one you
would make if you were without the "influence" of
the chemical.
I would also urge you to look at the possibilities of this
happening with your parents
should you be fortunate
enough to still have them with you. At some point, you
will be faced with similar dilemmas and a little timely
reflection may well help you to make practical and
appropriate decisions. Moreover, you will be much
better prepared to support other caregivers and not
be so quick to criticize their efforts. You will know it's
a true labor of love, but labor, nevertheless.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET
<><><><>
THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

Romano walked back into the house for another cup of
coffee. The girls were just cleaning up the table from
breakfast and Miguele was just putting on his coat and
getting ready to leave for work. "Hey, Miguele, would you
like some company today?" asked Romano.
Miguele turned to look at him, "Sure, if you're looking for
work to do. I don't take slackers along, you know." he winked.
"I spoke with the kids. They think it would be alright to stay
here for a while before we make any big decisions. That
way they can come under Oomano's and Riata's powers and
be seduced into staying here." he laughed as he dodged a
hit from Oomano.
Romano and Miguele left and got into the truck to leave.
Oomano and Riata walked out into the yard and called the
kids. It was time they spent some time in learning. This was
a period every morning where Oomano had established that
they leave their play and come sit and learn.
Romano's brothers and sister had no idea what was going on
but they joined in with the other kids anyway, if only just to
see what was going on. Today Oomano taught the law "As
ye sow, so shall ye reap.". She knew the others had gone
over it several times before but she wanted to get the message
into the newcomer's minds early.
Learning here was not so much instruction, like being at the
front of a room with chalk and chalkboard. Here Oomano and
Riata broadcast love unto every child, strong love. It had the
effect of relaxing the children and piquing their interest.
Learning was done by everyone participating in the conversation.
Oomano and Riata made sure Pietro, Sandero, and Marrietta
were involved every time they could.
As is usual, the boys were a little inclined to fool around, while
Marrietta sat there and absorbed all that was going on, as if
she were a sponge. She was very attentive.
Oomano and Riata projected more love unto the boys and they
soon were concentrating on what was being said. Soon they
became interested, then involved, then hungry for more.
Miguele and Romano had arrived at the delivery company
depot and were now in the process of loading up the truck. No
one spoke to Miguele much. He was considered unusual. His
truck never got dirty, not even from going through the mud in the
yard here. He never used the company gas pumps to fill up, his
truck was never in the shop. He was always on time, always
completed his deliveries, and never made a mistake.
Miguele was considered an outsider. He could not possibly
understand the troubles the rest of the drivers had. Even the
company treated him with high regard, but at arms length. They
couldn't figure him out.
For Miguele's part, he didn't help much. He was interested in
doing his job, and letting all else go. As a result he rarely spoke
around the yard.
Miguele was so thankful, everyday, when he got into his truck,
he kept his mind on that thankfulness. He remembered well the
days before he received the truck from Eloise. He vowed then
he would use it in the service of good. And for over four years
now he had been faithful to that vow.
The deliveries he did each day were not hard, and he had
come to know the businesses and places where he put in a
regular appearance with a delivery. He came to be friends
with a lot of those people, and he enjoyed that, and his work.
Every once in a while Miguele would come across a child of
the streets whom he felt would have a good chance at his
place. These were mostly kids who had been knocked down
by street life and looked as if they would perish if not
looked after.
There were lots of kids Miguele could have picked up to take
home so Oomano and Riata could look after them, but not
all kids would talk to him, or were willing to leave what they
had. Miguele never forced any child to come with him. They
always did that of their own accord.
Because of his work, Miguele was all over the city. It was in
this way he heard what was going on wherever he went. He
knew, for example, his daughter, Riata, had been shot, very
soon after the fact. He knew what was happening at the
church, because of the kidnapping of the orphans, as all this
was happening.
The city had a way for news to travel. It's inhabitants had long
since become used to the idea that news travels by word of
mouth. In the days before radio and television that is the only
way news traveled. The people did not change their habits
just because radio and television appeared. As a result,
most folks were well aware of what was going on long
before they got home to watch TV.

HA! HA! HA!
A woman rushes to see her doctor, looking very much
worried and all strung out.
She rattles off, "Doctor, take a look at me. When I woke
up this morning, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw
my hair all wiry and frazzled up, my skin was all wrinkled
and pasty, my eyes were blood-shot and bugging out, and
I had this corpse-like look on my face! What's wrong with
me, Doctor?"
The doctor looks her over for a couple of minutes,
then calmly says,
"Well, I can tell you one thing . . . there ain't nothing
wrong with your eyesight."
