GO BIG OR GO HOME!

"Make no little plans, they have no magic to stir your blood...
MAKE BIG PLANS. Aim high in hope and work.…" So wrote Daniel H.
Burnham in the last century. The big plans are important. They
capture your vision. The next step is to break them down into
"do-able" chunks, chunks that can be done in even one day. That
is what gives you a definite sense of accomplishment, isn't it?
The big plans are necessary, the baby steps, imperative!
My daughter shared a marketing tip with me the other day. She
said, "Go big, or go home". I thought about this quite a bit as
it seemed so brash and arrogant. Great slogan, but what about
the little guy? Then, it all made sense. Each person has the
opportunity to define ‘big’ for herself. If we are to live our
dreams and visions about how we want our lives to be, how we
want to be remembered, what our contribution to our daily world
could be, it IS true. Go big or go home!
Have a vision. Have a master plan for your whole life as you
presently see it. What would you like to be doing, experiencing,
being or having in your life, sometime in your life? What are
the things that are most important, significant and valuable to
you? That's big!
After you have created the "big picture" then you can decide
what you would like to create immediately and pay attention to
that. Timing is only one difference between short and long term
goals. Another important difference is that short term goals
lead directly to long term goals which fit perfectly into the
master plan. And the good news is....you are in charge! You can
change your master plan, and your approach to it, as your
interests and priorities shift and grow. You are not locked in.
A master plan is a plan for joy and passion, not a plan for duty
and obligation.
It is useful to break your goals down into three categories:
current, near future and far future. Once you have put your
future goals into your subconscious mind, they are begun. It is
not only action that is required. Keeping your goals in the
forefront of your mind is key. Thoughtfully craft your current
goals. Know how you will measure your success and plan for it.
Think big! Think limitlessly. Think "out of the box". People are
often limited by their minds unwillingness to stretch. Remember
what Napoleon Hill said: "...if you can conceive it, and believe
it, you can achieve it!"
If you find yourself surrounded by people who are ‘thinking
little’ it might be difficult to find support and acceptance for
your big plans. You may have to include some new associates who
want to play ‘big’, too! You have probably heard that, if you
want to run with the big dogs, you have to get off the porch!
Jump off that porch and get running!
Reflect on the biggest view of your life--your master plan. Is
it big enough for you? Does it cause you to stretch to get your
arms around it? If not, think a little bigger and see where it
takes you. If it does, be sure you have planned the route that
will get you there. Then, follow it. As you embark on each task
today, ask yourself, "Am I on the road to my vision by doing
this?" If not, make a correction.
Go big or go home! That one little phrase keeps me on my toes.

Meniere's Syndrome
"Meniere's" is a condition affecting the
nerves of one or both inner ears.

Having a life like this, with all it's unknowns and fears of the
future does not give anyone a desirable quality of life. Many
people will stop driving, as they feel unsafe. That limits or
eliminates their freedom! They know how this affects their loved
ones, but there is nothing they can do to make it better. So the
family has to tiptoe around and be very quiet. You will hear
people calling this "the beast". Can you imagine living with
this degree of uncertainty every day? At the beginning of this
article I hinted at a reason for updating this information. This
condition has been a very real part of my life for almost ten
years...fearful, unpredictable, and until a few years ago,
hopeless.a round of tranquilizers, low salt diets,
antidepressants, and little support from the medical community.
Luckily for us, all that has changed because the person who has
it, decided to step out and find solutions rather than spend the
rest of all our lives living from episode to episode. There is
much to be learned and I want to encourage you to explore
different avenues. There is hope and there may be a normal life
in store for you, but you will need more information and a
willingness to see beyond the traditional treatment. Once you
understand the underlying body's responses to "invaders", you
will find ways to deal with the challenge. But then the decision
will be yours to make and the traditional treatment won't be so
final and hopeless. Wouldn't it be good to realise you can have

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places. As you read on, enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

"Oh yes. Now I remember. She lives in Australia?" he asked.
"Yes, Papa. She was camping and because of an infected
wound she was out of her mind and in danger. Once that
was taken care of we began to talk of higher law. That is
what she was doing high up in the hills when a nasty rain
and snowstorm hit. She and I spoke, and in a dream that
night she became one with us. She now lives by higher law.
She came here today to visit with us. That is how we all
ended up in Australia with the kids. They loved it." Riata
responded.
Romano had long returned from his errand, but not until
after the girls and kids had left for Australia. He was all
caught up immediately, of course, upon Oomano's return.
The family liked to sit around the table, after supper, and
bring everyone up to date with each one's activities. It was
a nice, quiet time each day. When the kids finished their
chores they all would come, sit, listen and once in a while
participate. There were no rules here that this was adult
time. The kids kept quiet only because they enjoyed
listening to the adults at this time each day.
Because they were freely allowed to participate in family
life they were getting a good grasp on life and the way
things should be. The family, all, demanded courtesy and
kindness from all. The kids picked this up early and that is
just how they all were. Even those who came off the streets,
where greed was the order of the day, soon learned and
liked this way of life. The love that pervaded this home
gave each that feeling of acceptance of who they were,
plus all the personal security they would have gotten had
their own homes been kept together.
Soon all the kids were in bed, Miguele was sitting on the
sofa, reading, Abetta tinkering in the kitchen and Riata had
left for some chore she wanted to get done.
Romano and Oomano walked outside. It was a very warm
evening, with a full moon high in the sky. It was one of those
romantic evenings you see in movies. They walked along
the street, arm in arm, quite oblivious to the rest of the world.
Their love for each other was pulling them together and
that is all they had on their minds this night.
They found it tough to withstand the sexual energy between
them, yet they lived by higher law, not basic animal instincts.
So they contented themselves with just being together and
enjoying one another's company, even without much
conversation.
They walked for about an hour, not saying much. Then
turned to return home.
"Gee I wish we were getting married tomorrow." said Oomano.
"You're telling me. It is all I can do to remain a gentleman.
Oomano, and I know it is pulling on you too, but it is only a
couple months away. Would you like Sandra to come to our
wedding?" he asked.
"Yes, I would. She is a very nice lady." was her reply.
"Good then, why don't you and I see if Riata will look after
the kids tomorrow and you and I go see Sonora, the Henrys
in Pinehill, and get them all invited?" he asked.
"I think she will look after the kids. I'll ask when we get home."
And they walked along, two lovers in love, on an evening
that spoke to their hearts.
Arriving home they cornered Riata, who said she would
gladly look after the kids. That left Oomano and Riata free to
do the traveling they had in mind to invite guests to their
wedding.
The household was awakened early, by the kids, as usual.
The children were so energetic and loved to play so much
that they embraced all life had to offer and didn't want to
miss out on one bit of it.
Following the breakfast routine Oomano and Romano, after
saying goodbye to the folks, for the day, instantly appeared
at Sonora's place in Africa.
It was late in the afternoon when they arrived. Sonora was
busy over the supper fire, preparing food, with her Mother.
"Hi, you two. How are you folks doing? We haven't seen
you for a very long while." said Oomano.
"Oh! Hi!" Sonora came running up to them and gave them
a hug. Her Mother was close behind.
"How are you guys? Gee, it's nice to see you. Come, sit.
Tell us all about yourselves. We haven't had news from you
guys in quite a while. I guess the last time was when you,
Romano, brought that little fellow over here, Romero, that
was his name." said Sonora.

Two church members were going door to door, and
knocked on Vickie?s door who was not happy to see
them. She told them in no uncertain terms that she
did not want to hear their message, and slammed
the door in their faces.
To Vickies? surprise, however, the door did not
close and, in fact, bounced back open. She tried
again, really put her back into it, and slammed the
door again with the same result the door bounced
back open.
Convinced these rude young people were sticking
their foot in the door, she reared back to give it a
slam that would teach them a lesson, when one of
them said, "Ma'am, before you do that again, you
need to move your cat...!!"
