Where is Genghis Khan buried?
Genghis Khan's final resting place has been debated for
centuries, but Chinese archaeologists claimed in 2000 that
they had discovered his tomb. Most Mongolians believe
Genghis Khan rests beneath the Khentii mountain range to the
northeast of Ulan Bator, the Mongolian capital, but the
Chinese place him inside northwest China, close to the
Mongolian border and the Altai Mountains, which the
self-styled 'Scourge of God' passed through on several
occasions.
Why has it been so difficult to find the tomb?
Genghis died in 1227 from injuries suffered when he fell
from his horse. His generals went to customary extremes to
keep secret the grave's location. Once hundreds of horses
had trampled the ground above the tomb to obscure its
whereabouts, the 2,000 people who had attended his funeral
were massacred by 800 soldiers. The latter were also killed
to ensure the Khan enjoyed eternity in peace.

Your Actions Speak!
Three people were trying to get into heaven. Peter asked
the first, "Who's there?" "It's me, Albert Jones," the voice
replied. St. Peter let him in.
Then St. Peter asked the second one the second same
question, "Who's there?" "It's me, Charlie Jones." And St.
Peter let him in.
Finally he turns to the third, asking the same question,
"Who's there?" "It is I, Verla Chapman," answered the third.
"Oh, great," muttered St. Peter. "Another one of those
English teachers."
Ralph Waldo Emerson is credited with the saying that "Your
actions speak so loudly I cannot hear what you say to the
contrary."
Most of us are quite oblivious to the message our actions
tell others about us.
In the joke above the difference is quite distinguishable.
The language the lady used was clearly different than the
norm.
How about you. What are your actions telling others. Do they
say you are a straight forward business person, or someone
out for a fast buck anyway you can make it?
Do they say you are there for the long haul, with integrity
and perseverance, or are they clearly showing the signs of a
money grabber who may or may not be there tomorrow.
All these things show up in your verbal language, your
written language, your body language.
It does not take any special skills to be an astute
observer, either. Each of us emits an "aura". We "perceive"
the auras of those around us and of the material we are
looking at. That perception will influence our judgment and
our actions.
You do it everyday, without, possibly, even realizing it.
You make decisions based on your perceptions, even those
that creep in unnoticed.
Be aware, that is what others are doing with you. They, too,
like you, react to their perceptions. What is your material
allowing them to perceive?
It is quite true, your actions do speak so loudly no one can
hear what you say to the contrary. Bearing that in mind I
might be an idea to have a very close scrutiny of what you
are telling others. Maybe you want to change a few things.
Change or not you must be keenly aware that - - -

Balancing Your Diet Vs A Balanced Diet
A balanced diet doesn't mean balancing your luscious
hamburger on you lap and finding a place to park your drink.
I don't know why we always pick on the most famous
international fast food outlet- good marketing, I guess. In
all my research, I'm just not convinced that their food is
all bad., but it certainly isn't balanced. Aren't those
fries good? But oh so salty! Is a Tex Mex meal balanced?
Does hamburger and a soft drink make a balanced meal? What
about your favorite deli? Nitrites? Preservatives? Then what
do we need to balance our meal?
Who knows? Scientists who are now turning their attention to
the needs of every basic cell in our bodies . . . a process
called "cellular nutrition". This is one of the newest
sciences of mainstream medicine, called Bionutrition.
Scientists are developing great tasting, convenient ways to
fuel your body with the correct amounts and types of
macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein, and fats).
Have you stopped to think HOW your body gets its energy:
it's fuel? There aren't many ways... nose, mouth, and skin
are the "routine" routes for most of us. So whatever goes
into the body should really bring along nutrients that
support the body's needs.
Nature insists on "balance". And the fuel you give it
provides this balance. So if your meal doesn't provide the
"balance" in nutrition, some other part of your body gets
"robbed" to bring balance. Imbalance creates disharmony or
disease. Provide all the elements and you create harmony...
and ease, which equals health.. So what happens when your
meal isn't balanced for days, weeks, or months. . . or ever?
It creates a domino affect and results in a major breakdown
in your body's ability to function. But lack of proper
nutrition isn't the only cause of poor health. There are
lots of things in our lives today that all contribute, but
more about that another time.

He nodded again for the drums to start. And he nodded to
one of his men to do another chore. The drums began and the
second man went into the building again and brought out a
goat, tied tightly around it's neck. He proceeded to the
headman and stopped.
The dance began once more. The dancers had eyes as big
as saucers. They were dancing from fear, not out of ritual.
They knew not what was in store for them and their actions
were mechanical. The drums beat harder and faster then
stopped suddenly.
All eyes were again on the headman. He raised his arms
and spoke once more. "The secret of your protection has been
given to me by the gods. I am to make this magic drink of
which you shall all partake. When you have finished your
portion you will be invincible. No bullet from the soldier
of the greedy government shall touch you. No knife, no
grenade, no bomb will come near you. You shall prevail in
all battles and will be my army that we might free this
land."
He nodded to the man with the goat. The man picked up
the goat and held it by the head and body such that it's
neck was over the large kettle.
The headman continued. "This is a virgin goat, a female.
She had never known sex and is innocent in all virtues. The
blood of this animal carries with it the power of
innocence." With that he took a knife and cut completely
through the goat's neck. Blood poured into the kettle.
When the blood finished running the headman cut off the
head and placed it on a piece of wood planking that was
lying near the kettle. He took an axe and split the skull.
Reaching in he took out the brains and held them high.
"This animal survives because of it's cunning. It can
survive where man cannot and will not. The intelligence of
this animal shall be yours." He then took the brains and
squeezing them in his hands continued to mush them until
they fell into the kettle in small pieces.
Next he split open the goat and removed the entrails
from the stomach to rectum. These he also placed on the
plank and proceeded, with great ceremony, to cut them up
into little pieces, including everything they contained.
Upon finishing he gathered his work and dumped it all into
the kettle. He stirred the concoction with a large pole.
"The entrails of this goat shall arm you with the
ability to live anywhere on anything. This animal has a
power to live beyond other animals because of it's iron gut.
You, too, shall have the iron gut of the goat and live where
others will not."
The head man nodded again to the drummers. The cadence
started. The dancers were fearful to the point of finding it
hard to contain their innards. The dancing went on for
nearly an hour. Then it stopped suddenly again. The dancers
were tiring and were now weaker. The head man knew he had
them. He knew they believed in black magic and he knew the
more vile the concoction he made them drink the more they
would believe they were invincible. He knew they would take
up arms for him and do anything he said.
"You are among thousands who have gone through this
ceremony. When you are finished you will be given a rifle,
ammunition and this identifying scarf of the Freedom
Fighters. Wherever you see this scarf you see a brother.
The potion is ready but for one more thing."
With that he removed his loin cloth and presented
himself to his men. They placed him in a harness arrangement
all set up on a platform. The harness was to keep him from
falling. The platform was placed next to the kettle and
elevated to the top of the kettle. The headman had a clear
view of the contents. He nodded to the drummers who started
the loudest and fastest beat of the evening. The dancers
started to dance again, because that is what they thought
they should be doing.
A holler from the headman stopped them. He danced
instead, at least as much as his restraints would permit. He
chanted, kicked, screamed, held his hands up to the sky and
pleaded for final knowledge that would protect his men.
From behind him, the source not visible, there was an
explosion that sent fire skyward. The moment that happened
the headman slumped as if he had been struck by this awesome
force.
Slowly he "came too" and raised his body as if in a
trance like state, eyes wide, arms outstretched. "This
power, this invincibility, this knowledge and this
protection I give to you." He then proceeded to urinate in
the kettle.
When done he nodded to his men. They, with great
reverence and ceremony, lowered the platform and removed the
restraints from the headman. From this time all the
headman's men bowed in his presence. He walked among them,
on them, through them. Each was splayed out on the ground as
if powerless in the presence of this great man.
The headman nodded to the drummers. They began a cadence
that was like a march. The group of teens were now instructed to
move up and down with the rhythm of the drums until asked to
come to the front.
The headman stood before the kettle and nodded to one of
his men. They brought out a brilliantly arrayed skirt like
piece of clothing and draped it around him. This skirt was
decorated with all sorts of shiny metal. Then they gave him
a spear and a rifle. Once more he danced. He stopped
suddenly and pointed to one of the teens.
The headman knew this teen. They had worked together
doing this ceremony before with other groups. This young man
was a ringer, a Judas goat for the group behind him.

WHY DO WE SAY IT?
Gargoyle: does the word "gargoyle" refer to the appearance
of these images?
No. "Gargoyle" is an Old French word and literally means
"throat". Gargoyles were originally used as projections from
the gutter of a building to carry the rainwater clear of the
walls, and they spurted this drain water through their
'throats".

I was out walking with my then 4 year old daughter. She
picked up something off the ground and started to put it in
her mouth. I asked her not to do that.
"Why?"
"Because it's been laying outside and is dirty and probably
has germs."
At this point, she looked at me with total admiration and
asked, "Wow! How do you know all this stuff?"
"Uh," I was thinking quickly, "everyone knows this stuff.
Um, it's on the Mommy test. You have to know it, or they
don't let you be a Mommy."
"Oh."
We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was
evidently pondering this new information.
"I get it!" she beamed. "Then if you flunk, you have to be
the Daddy."
