Enthusiastic Parenting

A father had three very active boys.
One summer evening, he was playing cops and robbers
in the back yard after dinner.
One of the boys "shot" his father and yelled,
"Bang! You're dead!"
He slumped to the ground and when he didn't get
up right away, a neighbor ran over to see if he had
been hurt in the fall.
When the neighbor bent over, the overworked father
opened one eye and said,
"Shhh. Don't give me away. It's the only chance I've
had to rest all day."
Over the years I have had the privilege of watching parents
raise their children in many different ways. Being a parent
myself I know, first hand, how tiring it can be.
I saw my wife get up with the kids when they were babies.
She would get up at all hours of the night. That was our
indoctrination to the idea that parenting was a 24/7 job.
Later, when the kids were a little older we would take turns
looking after their needs. We noticed that with children,
everything is immediate. Everything is really good or
really drastic in the now. Their vision and patience into
the future doesn't exist.
Then we arrived at a time where they were a little self
reliant. That was the time when we had to make
decisions to do things with them or let them go out
and get into whatever all the other kids were doing.
What with drugs about, we decided we wanted to be
with our kids, play with them, know how they were,
what they were doing. We didn't want that because
we owned them. We wanted to have fun with them at
every stage of their life.
So we played, day and night with our kids. What they
wanted to do we wanted to do. What a wonderful reward
kids are. We had a great time with our kids, but then
we were enthusiastic parents.
We got through the teens, when the kids are no longer
little boys or little girls, and neither are they adults.
When I look on parents today going through those
years, I wonder how it was that we made it successfully.
Yet I see that the more parents are involved with their
kids the better the kids do in school, in life, socially and
emotionally. Strange as it seems it appears too, that
the busier a youngster is in sports, music, clubs, the
better they do in school.
I've seen, too, the parent who does nothing. They don't
want to be bothered by a child, so they give them some
money and tell them to go to the store. As these kids
grow to be teens these are the ones who head into trouble.
Parenting is a never ending job, and 24/7 for the rest
of your life. I recommend making it fun. Parenting can
be a joy when you practice - - -

In Windows XP, open Windows Explorer and click
Tools then go to Folder Options then View tab.
Select "Show hidden files and folders."
In Windows 98, the process is similar. Click View
go to Folder Options then View tab. Select "Show
all files."
Keep this in mind: These files are necessary to run
Windows. Mess one up and your computer probally
will not run. So be very careful!

Aneurysms
A Leak In Your Circulatory System

HOW IT GETS TO BE THAT WAY? WHAT POSSIBLE CAUSES?
Causes for the weakening of the walls or congenital
occurrences are unknown in many instances. However
in the aortic aneurysms, high blood pressure may be a
factor. And that makes a lot of sense, if you think about
the plaque build-up and then the high constant
pressure exerted on the walls. Defects in some of the components
of the artery wall may be responsible. Aneurysms aren't always
life threatening, but will often have serious consequences. A
brain aneurysm is an out-pouching or ballooning-out of the wall
of this corridor, again either an artery or a vein in the brain.
Often a wall is weakened by disease, injury, or a congenital
defect. But the more serious damage is caused by a "ruptured"
aneurysm. This then becomes a surgical emergency. A stroke can
result if an aneurysm bursts in the brain. This is called a
hemorrhagic (or bleeding) stroke. A subarachnoid hemorrhage is
bleeding into the space between the brain (very fragile soft
tissue with thousands of tiny folds) and the skull (bone cover)
but not into the brain itself. This then puts a lot of pressure
ONTO the brain and its sensitive areas. Remember that the brain
is the command center of the body. If the signal it RECEIVES is
distorted (pressure or incomplete message) the command GOING
BACK to the body may also be inappropriate. When an artery IN
the brain bursts, flooding the surrounding tissue with blood,
it's called a cerebral hemorrhage. The escaping blood within the
brain may cause severe neurologic complications or death. The
size of these vessels in the brain are relatively small compared
to the large abdominal ones, but the damage is often much more
serious than in a blockage in a vessel of similar size in an
extremity. Always keep in mind that aneurysms can leak or burst
outright.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

They sat around the fire and talked all night.
Supper was a meager meal, enough to satisfy, and
to sustain energy, but nothing fancy.
The conversation touched on nearly everything,
with Mae and Susan telling Wong of where they
lived and what their lives were up to now.
Wong was interested in all the ladies
experiences with higher law.
They told him of how they came to know about
it and the things in life they went through. They
spoke of the common bond, the Henry family, and
how that relationship led to them being here
today.
Wong was especially interested in any meetings
with Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha.
The ladies filled him in as best they could.
It was well past dark when they finally
decided to turn in. Mae placed her usual circle of
protection around them, then went to sleep.
Before she did so, however, she made the
ground under Wong to fit his body. Even when he
rolled over the earth shifted to the new
requirement.
He awoke in the morning quite amazed at the
good sleep he had last night. "The ground was
molded to my body. I was supported properly all
night. I have never slept so comfortable."
"I set that up for you last night. Tonight and
from now on you can do the same. It is just one of
the niceties of higher law." said Mae.
"But you are changing the very earth!" Wong
was perplexed.
"Wong, all is first a spiritual framework upon
which gross matter is formed. I merely altered the
framework under you so the earth would fit your
body. When you manifest anything, or when you need
to bring things into perfection, such as a body
that suffers pain, simply understand the
underlying framework can be altered to
perfection." said Mae.
"Moreover, Wong," said Susan, "it is not to be
thought of as amazing, but natural. As you do it
you will more and more come to see it as the way
all men should live, and that each has the
opportunity, if they but choose."
"This new knowledge I must learn well. I thank
you ladies for showing me, yet I remain a novice."
"Not for long" Mae had something in mind.
The three of them had a bite to eat, something
to drink, put out the fire, cleaned up the camp
and were about to be on their way for the day.
"How do we get to that village, Wong?" asked
Mae.
"There is a bridge across the river. It is
about five miles that way, and then there is a
road back."
"I think we will take the short cut" said Mae,
and she began to walk toward the river.
"Where are you going?" asked Wong in surprise.
"Watch this" said Susan.In complete surprise
Wong watched as Mae walked across the water
to the other side of the river.
"Come. It is our turn" said Susan.
"I have never done this" said Wong.
"For your first time concentrate on looking at
Mae on the other side of the river. Think that you
are walking on land as you walk toward her. Pay no
attention to the noise of the water. I will be
right beside you."
Wong did as he was told. The crossing was so
uneventful he hardly realized he was walking on
water.
Upon arrival on land on the opposite side
of the water from where he began he stopped and
looked back to where he had spent the night. Again
he was amazed.
"Wong, if you can do this then you can do
anything. The secret lies in knowing you are a
part of your Maker and can do anything your Maker
can do. If you believe and doubt not then these
things shall be done. That is the law" said Mae.
"You are doing very well. You are amazed, yet as
you were walking across the water you did not feel
any different than usual. This is the natural
way."
"Why do they not teach this in the monastery?"
"Because, Wong, they have their own agenda.
They know not how to do this themselves and
therefore do not want to have others get beyond
them. They speak as if they alone are the
authorities and that life is to be as they say. So
long as they have a never ending supply of young
men to teach, that is the message they will give
out. You have experienced first hand the
difficulty you have had getting over that thought.
You thought initially this was blasphemous to your
master's teaching. Now you have found your master
has not gone far enough" said Mae.
