Measurements can show amazing things sometimes.
It seems that the increase in the Federal interest rate
sparked an alarming rate in visits to real estate sites.
In a couple cases AOL at 83% and MSN at 54%. It
doesn't take much, does it?
Communist Vietnam, widening a crackdown on
dissent, sentenced a literature professor on Friday to
19 months in prison for using the Internet to criticize
its policies. Aren't you glad you live in a country
where one can exercise free speech?
Two eBay Inc. users have filed a class action suit
against the company. It seems they were over billed
by a faulty computer billing system.
Martha Stewart has been denied a new trial. A federal
judge rejected her request for a new trial. Her
sentencing will likely take place next week.
Spam is still the topic of conversation around the net.
In all countries of the world people hate spam, or
apparently so. A report from eMarketerDaily says that
a reported 70% of PC users fell victim to viruses and
still only 46% realized that opening attachments made
them vulnerable to attack.
What I find interesting about this spam thing is that
now ISPs are attacking one another. Some block all
email that comes from a certain ISP address. That
means that even the innocent are punished. Even
here at thePEBBLE we see that some words in the
content of our newsletter gets filtered out. In fact there
are so many words in some spam filters that it is
amazing anything gets through. In thePEBBLE we
can't even encourage you to do well, or reach your
target, or sell your way to success, without being
filtered out at most ISPs.
The entire spam thing has backfired as far as I'm
concerned. The ISPs are doing what they think right,
yet they are shutting down the internet for even a
simple communication between family members.
They are doing this, perfectly justified, of course, in
the name of attacking spam. You know what? Spam
is the only mail getting through. Think about that.

Word 2002
Left tabs are the standard, typical types of tabs most
everyone uses.
Left tabs are called such because text typed after
you press the tab aligns its left side to the tab stop in
Word 2002. Each bit of text will line up its left edge
with the tab stop, but pressing the Spacebar won't
do this. You must use a tab stop!
To make a new left tab stop for your current paragraph,
Do this - -
Type the paragraph you want to stick the tabs in.
Consider typing the text first. Make sure that the toothpick
cursor is in the paragraph you want to change.
Choose the left tab stop from the Tab button.
Keep clicking the Tab button until the Left tab appears, as
shown in the margin.
Click the mouse in the ruler where you want a new tab
stop.
For example, the first tab stop may be set at 1.25 inches,
the second at 2.5 inches, and the third at 3 inches.

Aneurysms
A Leak In Your Circulatory System
PART 5 of 9
An abdominal aortic aneurysm involves a widening, stretching, or
ballooning of the aorta. As the aorta gets progressively larger
over time there is increased chance of rupture. Aortic
(heart/abdominal) aneurysms occur in this main artery leading
away from the heart. They are usually located in the abdomen
below the kidneys, but can also be found in the thoracic (chest)
cavity. This defect can happen if the wall of the aorta becomes
weakened by build-ups of fatty deposits called plaque. This
condition is called atherosclerosis. There are several causes of
abdominal aortic aneurysm, but the most common result from
atherosclerotic disease. Aneurysms may also be due to an
inherited disease such as the Marfan syndrome. Marfan syndrome
is an inheritable disorder of connective tissue (which adds
strength to the bodies structures) that affects the skeletal and
cardiovascular systems, and the eyes, and skin. The main health
threat for people with Marfan syndrome is cardiovascular
complications. (Doctors performing sports physicals or general
exams may suspect Marfan syndrome in tall children whose arm
span exceeds their height.)

David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.

on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.

Those thoughts were sinking in as Wong and the
ladies walked toward the village.
As they approached the village there was a
halo around the village. It looked that way
because the villagers were out sweeping and trying
to deal with the dust the convoy had dumped on the
village yesterday.
The villagers were raising as much dust as the
convoy. They were trying to clear walkways,
doorways, roofs, everywhere. In places the dust
was nearly an inch thick. It was a real problem
for the inhabitants of the village.
The morning sun, not yet fully up in the sky,
was shining through the dust and made it appear as
if the village was entirely bathed in special
sunlight. That is what it looked like from far
away. Within the village itself it was only dark
because the sun could not penetrate far into the
dust.
The sight was somewhat surreal. Mae, Susan and
Wong were gradually getting nearer the village and
becoming buried within the dust..
Mae had enough. With one sweep of her hand the
dust lifted and disappeared, exactly as if a giant
dust vacuum had come along and sucked up every
particle of dust in the village.
Yet there remained one big problem for the
villagers. The convoy had dumped dust into the
rice paddies also. The dust that settled was not
so bad for it was fertile and did much for the
paddies. However, the dust did not all land on
water. Much landed on the rice itself and as each
particle landed on the rice it became heavier. The
more that landed on any stem of rice the more bent
over it became and eventually a lot of rice was
buried beneath the water. These had to be pulled
back up to give them air.
One look at this problem and Mae decided to
take one more sweep with her hand. SWOOSH! The
rice was all standing again.
The townspeople did not see what happened.
They only knew that to them a miracle happened. It
was not associated with the newcomers, although,
when Wong was seen in his monks robes, they all
approached asking for his prayers of intervention.
He responded as he was expected and as he
expected to do himself. Then, suddenly, he quit.
He looked upon the people and, concentrating, sent
unto them enormous love. You could see the energy
emanating from him unto the people. They all felt
it and those who were ill, injured or sick were
immediately healed.
The crowd murmured. This was a holy monk, much
more powerful than most who came through here.
They were confused. They had not seen this before.
They wanted to storm him, hug him, touch him, yet
they were afraid for they had not seen such power.
Wong lowered his hands. "Peace be unto you."
The three of them began walking again. It was
their intention to walk right through this village
and keep going north.
The villagers followed. Even past the edge of
town they followed. Wong, Mae and Sue did some
quick communication in thought. "We must render
ourselves invisible, or they will follow too
long." thought Mae.
"Agreed" thought the other two. And with that
they became invisible to the people of the
village.
The townsfolk murmured. There was continual
conversation amongst them. This was a day of
miracles. It was a Master's day. From now on this
day would be remembered on the calendar and it
would be called Masters Day. The townsfolk
declared this day forever more as the day a monk
came through the village and removed all the
terrible dust, and made everyone healthy.
As for Mae, Susan and Wong, they could see the
villagers had left to return to their village,
whereupon they became visible once more.
"These villagers will remember this day. Every
monk from now on will be treated with a little
higher reverence, just in case he too, has the
power. These villagers will make sure they are on
the right side of anyone who passes.
As the walked along they kicked up little dust
devils with every step. Their feet will certainly
be dirty tonight.
They stayed on the road so long as it was
headed in a northerly direction. If the road
headed any other direction for more than half a
day they looked hard for trails or roads that
headed north. While the two ladies were not on any
hard and fast schedule, they did want direction
and destination to ultimately guide them.
