The Bluetooth Special Interest Group says the wireless
industry should keep its collective eye on maturing
college students, who display a strong interest in sharing
photos, gaming and, of course, communicating, with
mobile devices.
Apple Earnings Jump to iPod's Beat
Lead by a surging demand for its iPod portable music
player, Apple reported that Q3 revenues had climbed 30%.
"It was an outstanding quarter," said CEO Steve Jobs.
"Our highest third-quarter revenues in eight years." Mac
sales were also up 19%. Apple has sold more than
100 million songs on iTunes since the online music
store was introduced a year ago. The site accounts for
70% of legal online downloads.

The other major diagnostic technique is an MRI. MRI stands for
"Magnetic Resonance Imaging". Whereas the MRI is a radio wave,
the CAT scan is done with x-rays, using special dyes. Resonance
means the sound wave bounce off an object. This method is
non-invasive: it doesn't need a cut to be placed into the body.
It uses radio waves and a powerful magnetic field rather than
x-rays to produce clear and detailed images of virtually any
part of the body. This procedure has greatly improved the
ability to "see" normal and diseased tissue. You might enjoy

MRIs do require specialized equipment and expertise in order to
be performed properly. It also requires someone with specialized
knowledge to correctly interpret the findings. Because of its
cost and size, plus other requirements, these (MRI, CAT, or CT)
diagnostic procedures may need to be done in a larger facility.
This is a relatively new technology that allows imaging
(pictures) of the inside of the body without using X-rays or
other types of ionizing radiation. Ionization is a chemical
process which is not desirable in all instances. An MRI scan is
also capable of showing fine detail of different tissues. So it
is easy to understand why the use of more sophisticated
technology is growing quickly while the use of standard X-rays
is decreasing. People are very aware of possible negative
outcomes.

One thing Mae and Susan learned while walking
through China was that the citizens were a nice
people. They worked hard to feed and clothe their
families. They were courteous to the last when Mae
and Sue were their guests and in the whole time so
far, Mae and Sue had made a great many real and
genuine friends.
In truth the ladies had never been treated so
well as guests. The people would do anything for
them.
As was their custom, Mae and Sue never left a
new friend without blessings of some sort. They
were either restored to full health or granted
plentiful food, clothing or other things. Always
they left behind a legacy of love.
Wherever they went this trail of love could be
seen. From Kowloon to where they are now could be
seen a string of friends whose lives have been
made better because of Mae and Sue. The two of
them loved to do things for people to help them in
some way, particularly when the people neither
asked nor expected anything.
That is the way with those who live by higher
law. The reward is in the giving. They seek
nothing else.
They were in a big city now, still in southern
China where the climate was continually warm. This
city was much like Kowloon, except it was not on
the ocean. It was, however, on a river, and that
is where Mae and Sue were now walking, along the
river. This was a busy place. There were literally
hundreds of boats on the river, all shapes and
sizes.
Farmers, fishermen, traders from villages up
river, all plied the river bringing their goods to
market. They would unload here, do their trading,
load up the goods they purchased and head out to
return home with their wares.
This was the rhythm of the river as it had
been played out over centuries. The activity had
not changed in all that time. Some were prosperous
enough to have motorized transport, but that was
the only change on this river. You might as well
be looking on this scene as if it was being played
out some four or five centuries ago. The actions
were the same. The clothing was virtually the
same. The trade was the same. All of life, teeming
as it was, functioned according to this rhythm.
Mae and Susan marveled at what they saw. They
marveled at how this pattern was ageless. They
marveled at how all this happened every day and
how it moved all the goods to market. There was
very little money changing hands. Most of the
trade was conducted on the barter system.
There was, of course, those who were
"influencers". These people were the ones who said
what would happen, so they all received a "fee"
from the farmers and fishermen who came to market.
If the farmers, fishermen and traders did not
offer this "fee" their wares would simply not be
sold. It was a system that had gone on for so long
no one, even the idealists, did not question its
workings.
Westerners visiting and observing would nearly
all think it was a corrupt system. Whether it was
or not, it worked. And it at least was equal for
all who plied their trade. It was straight
forward, easy to understand and functioned well.
The judgment of westerners was of no effect on the
system. It had gone on for centuries and would, in
one form or another, go on for many more.
It was not for Mae and Susan to judge,
admonish, change or concern themselves about the
integrity of such systems. It was their function
to love and help mankind. Like Jesus, they spoke
not against the system. They, instead, spoke of
love, higher law, perfection. And they were being
heard.
Many whom they met knew these two ladies were
special ladies. Many regarded them highly and
favored them with attentions. There was the
occasional person who spent time with them and
learned the kindnesses and the law. In many cases
these people were those who were the downcast.
Many were healed and wanted to learn the law.
This day was hot and it was now noon with the
sun high and hot. It was hot on the river too,
though possibly not quite as hot as in the market.
There was a blood curdling scream. It sent
fear into many hearts nearby. Looking out onto
the river the onlooker could soon zoom in on the
trouble spot.
A woman had a child who had fallen overboard
into the river. They were amongst hundreds of
boats in a constant state of motion. The
possibility of the child being crushed between
boats was what had the woman so frantic. In fact
it was about to happen and she screamed the
louder.
Mae and Susan, seeing, concentrated and sent
energies unto all the boats concerned as well as
to the child. From that instant the boats seemed
to still. The child had a clear area and the
mother jumped into the water to get her. No one
knew of the intervention by Mae and Susan. The
child was saved and all was well.
The market was back in operation even as the
emergency was going on. This kind of thing
happened on a regular basis and the people no
longer paid much heed. They well knew those in the
immediate area were the ones who would attend the
situation.
