A Good Idea

One of the great challenges in life is to stay focused and not
to go madly off in all directions. It makes so much sense,
doesn't it? How is it, then, that most people do not find it
easy to stay on track with their goals? After all, they
chose their goals, so they must be appealing!
There are many answers to it, no doubt. The important thing
for today is to find your particular answer to that question.
Is it difficult for you to stay focused on your goals? How
much prompting does it take for you to abandon what you are
doing and do something else? What is it about that "something
else" that is so appealing? What is it about your goal that
is not appealing enough, perhaps? Big questions.
Avoidance can be a big issue, can't it? Often we call it
procrastination, however, it really is avoidance. When there
is a task to do, we often find ourselves deciding to clean our
desk, make unnecessary phone calls, or, even counting all the
staples in that little box just to be sure there really are
1,000. It is often a good idea to take stock when this
happens...and I do not mean of those little staples! We want
to do things we love to do. We'll even do some very
unpleasant things to achieve a desired result...if this were
not true, who would undergo cosmetic dentistry or liposuction?
Walt Disney had some good advice. He said, "Get a good idea
and stick with it. Dog it, and work at it until it's done and
done right." So, the point is, if you are focused on what you
REALLY want, you may have to remind yourself that that task
that seems unappealing is really your ticket to your dreams.
Pay for it!
For today, reaffirm your goals. Make sure they truly reflect
what you want. Sit with each of your goals--read it out loud,
close your eyes, see how your body reacts to each. Goals that
truly light you up and/or contribute to your sense of
well-being and peace are the ones to focus on. Keep the others
for another time...or release them completely.

Sorting means to rearrange all the rows of a table on the basis
of data in one column. The table still has the same information,
but the rows are in a special order that you select.
The fastest way to rearrange the rows in a table is to use the
Table, Sort command or click one of the Sort buttons on the Table
and Borders toolbar.
WARNING; When you rearrange a table by sorting it, Word rearranges
the formatting as well as the data. Do your sorting before you
format the table to save yourself a headache.

Here is another really interesting site. It belongs to Dr.
Daniel G. Amen, a clinical neuroscientist, a psychiatrist, and
the medical director of The Amen Clinics in California.

I copied this off his site and I want you to read his
credentials. "He is a nationally recognized expert in the fields
of the brain, behavior, and attention deficit disorders. Dr.
Amen has pioneered the use of brain imaging in clinical
psychiatric practice. His clinics have the world's largest
database of functional brain scans for neuropsychiatry. Dr.
Daniel Amen, founder of the Amen Clinic presents his
breakthrough clinical research in neuroscience and Brain SPECT
Imaging. Used in conjunction with clinical history and other
tests, brain SPECT imaging is a powerful tool to see the
underlying brain physiology of many emotional, learning or
behavioral problems." What I find amazing is that he is a
"clinical neuroscientist" and a "psychiatrist". He is not a
neurosurgeon. Rather he is using this knowledge and all these
techniques to understand and change people's behaviours,
scientifically. I would suppose that their problems arise from
some sort of other "underlying" "misfunction", but these can now
be identified.

So here are some instructions I urge you to consider. BRAIN
DO'S: # 1 Wear a helmet in high risk situations. # 2 Drink lots
of water. # 3 Eat healthy. AND BRAIN DON'TS: # 49 DON'T Refuse
to listen to the people you love who are trying to tell you to
get help. # 50 DON'T Withhold love, touch and companionship to
those you love as a way to express anger. I encourage you to
read the 45 other in between suggestions. They could easily
affect your wellbeing positively.

This advanced knowledge has little to do with what we always
associated with the brain "power" in the past. Do you realize
most of the current scientific discovery has come about in the
last decade? In the past we would seek information about anatomy
and physiology. But for the ordinary person, it pertained only
to what they could "reasonably" understand. Now we have many
respected scientists and researchers giving us a very different
perspective.

would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts

As Mae and Sue progressed through the next day
they observed a strange, though perfectly logical,
phenomenon developing.
While they were walking, they always broadcast
love. As it emanated from their beings it
affected the people around them. Always they were
treated with respect, but what was happening was
they were gathering a following, children mostly.
It was close to noon and looking around them
they observed nearly a hundred kids following,
plus two or three adults.
The children were all orphans, with no place
to sleep, eat, or call home. The street was their
home.
"What are we going to do with those who
follow?" asked Sue, "These are youngsters with no
home."
"I've been thinking on that. Why don't we call
Riata to come. She will know what to do."
"Good idea." responded Sue.
With that they each stopped, closed their eyes
and concentrated on Riata, asking her to come and
give them a hand.
They continued walking toward the outskirts of
the city. They estimated that at their present
pace they were still two days away.
Riata showed up in a matter of minutes.
Instantly she understood the situation. She knew
immediately what to do. "Thank you for calling. I
think we can set up another orphanage here. I will
get some of the kids from my home town orphanage
to come and help. They know what to do."
With that she set to work.
Mae and Sue were always amazed at how
efficient using higher law was. Things just
happened the right way when you "knew" and "saw"
the answers or the things you needed.
Riata called Reno and Amenti from the
orphanage in Matto Grosso. They came immediately.
For a short while it was like "old home week".
The small group hugged one another in their
greetings. Reno and Amenti also knew instantly why
they were there. Each was pleased with the job and
knew exactly what to do.
The group walked on together. What they were
now looking for was an area of land that appeared
unused, and not likely to be used.
It was about mid afternoon before they spotted
what they were looking for. It was a clear piece
of land between two distinct areas of the city. It
appeared to be used for nothing other than a place
for people to throw their refuse. It was not an
official garbage dump, but it certainly had a
gathering of garbage that had collected over the
years.
Riata, looking at Amenti and Reno,
communicated her thoughts to them that this looked
like a good spot. They agreed and the three of
them broke away from the group and began their
task of organizing and setting up.
Amenti and Reno walked the perimeter and as
they did so they caused all traces of garbage to
vanish. They walked off a large area two city
blocks square.
Riata located within that marked off land, a
suitable building site. She needed a place for the
children to be sheltered from the elements,
nothing elaborate, but a roof.
When Amenti and Reno came back from their
clean up chores the three of them concentrated on
putting a shield of love completely around the
perimeter of the land they had marked off. There
would be no enemies or those with evil intentions
enter upon this land without losing entirely all
their selfish intentions.
While all this was going on Mae and Susan kept
the rest of the group away. They all stood and
watched, marveling at how, so suddenly, the area
became cleaned up. Not only that but as Amenti,
Reno and Riata worked the land became green with
fresh grass. Then flowers appeared as if in
organized flower gardens.
Soon Riata had manifested a roof under which
all could sleep. Upon finishing that she waved her
arm in a beckoning motion.
Mae, Susan and the entire group came into the
land and under the roof.
Riata explained to all that this was their new
home. They would be responsible for keeping it
clean and orderly. Here they would be fed and
clothed, and for those who wanted they could learn
how to do the things they just witnessed.
The crowd of kids was buzzing. This was a new
concept for them. Many would have left, not
wanting the regimentation of learning, or living
with others, but the love Riata, Reno and Amenti
projected was so magnetic that every one remained.
