Do moths actually eat clothes?
Why is the Sphinx moth called the hummingbird moth?

ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -

How many Americans fought on the British side in the
American Revolution?
An estimated 50,000 Americans provided military support
for the king. Not very many actually joined the British
army, but thousands served in provincial regiments
under Loyalist officers.
How do worms get into apples?
Have you ever picked up an apple with a nice, smooth
surface and no holes whatsoever, only to bite inside
and find a worm? Well here's how the worm gets inside:
he grows WITH the apple. Apple worms are actually the
larvae of codling moths. In spring, the moth lays a
tiny egg within the apple blossom. As the flower's
ovary develops into a mature apple, the larvae, already
inside, grows with it. By summer, the larvae may tunnel
its way out and transform into a moth.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
Them What Has - Gets!
(The Principle Of Magnetism)
Have you ever heard the saying "Them what has, gets!"?
It comes out of jolly old England from a long way back.
What it means is that it seems that riches go to those
who already have wealth.
Have you ever wondered why that is?
It is called Magnetism!
That is correct and it is one of the fundamental
principles of wealth. The plain and simple fact is
money attracts money. It has been a known principle in
wealthy circles since the dawn of time. It is practiced
by all who have money and no one can gain a foothold
into becoming wealthy until or unless they practice the
principle.
It is the building of the "nest egg".
It begins with setting aside some money, knowing it
will be like a magnet, then every day begin adding to
it according to a formula.
Often it is called the 10% formula. You know, the pay
yourself first, 10%.
Too many folks have the notion they cannot afford to
take 10% out of the paycheck and still have enough left
to pay the bills. That is because they don't trust the
law.
When you muster the courage to take that 10% from every
paycheck and put it in a jar, or the bank, you will be
very surprised at how there really is enough money to
go around.
Once you do this and the "nest egg" begins to build it
is amazing how the money begins to flow.
By the way, this is not a savings account. It is not a
rainy day account. It is not to be touched by you for
any reason at any time. It is your "magnet" account.
You will have to live out of what is left. All the
cars, houses, boats, trips and everything else,
including all your daily living needs come out of what
is left of the check AFTER the 10%.
It is the principle of magnetism and it works - big
time.
It is unavoidable. Money attracts money. The sooner you
participate, the sooner you can attract the money you
want.
Funny thing about principles, they don't jump up and
slap you in the face. They are just there functioning
as they normally do waiting only for man to discover
them. Whether they be the laws of money or the higher
spiritual laws they are always there waiting to do your
bidding. All you need do is recognize them and then
step out and practice.

MEDICAL COLUMN - - - -
by Karin Henderson
Anaphylaxis: A Medical Emergency
PART 1 of 11
Anaphylaxis represents a state of protection.
Essentially that means your body is protecting you
against something that has just entered it. Something
that will upset the wellbeing of your entire body. We
are not talking about a little cut or a bruised elbow.
This can be a life threatening situation.
Lets explore what anaphylaxis is by looking at some a)
definitions, b) possible causes, c) signs and symptoms
(seeing how your body reacts naturally), and d) some
treatment options. I will conclude with my thoughts
about possible prevention. Please keep in mind we are
exploring anaphylaxis: not allergies. Ill also share
a couple of my own experiences to illustrate the
heart-racing situations. The more you know, the more
helpful you can be, if the situation ever came up. Even
just reading my experiences will help you be more
practical. You will be amazed at your capabilities if
you have the slightest idea how to help in an
emergency! This kind of emergency truly is an
emergency. So a tiny bit of insight can be of
tremendous value. Please make sure you do NOT use this
information for anything more than just a learning
experience.
This is an extremely complex situation, so please dont
assume anything. But I want to simplify it to make it
understandable. Hence do NOT use it for class
presentations unless you can speak about it in your own
words. I will add links to helpful sites. Do
investigate this more if you read anything that might
impact your family. I am also gearing this information
more towards adults. Children have their own
challenges. I am not a nurse who has ever specialized
in pediatrics for any length of time. So what I will be
discussing is meant for an adult: not an infant or
child. Their bodies react differently and in most
cases, much more quickly. Also their doses of emergency
drugs will be different.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

So did Sharon, but she picked up a toss
cushion from the couch and threw it at him.
Tim ducked and the cushion flew right onto the
kitchen counter sending plates, cups and cutlery
onto the floor. Fortunately nothing broke but the
noise it made broke the spell they were under.
Both laughingly picked up the stuff on the
floor and put it back where it was.
"Oh I love you Miss Smithson. Soon that's
going to be Mrs. Henry and then you will no longer
be safe from me."
She leaned up against him with full body
contact, rubbing herself across his body, "Good."
"Stop that, you ... you gorgeous creature you.
Let's talk about something else. You're driving me
crazy. I'll either have to misbehave or go home if
you don't stop this."
"Oh, okay, Mr. Prim And Proper. I'll wait. I
guess I can last two more days."
The pair of them settled down and began
talking of the plans and assessed their level of
readiness and preparedness.
With all that was going on they decided they
had things under control. They had invited people
from all over the world and all of them lived by
higher law. They knew they would have no lodging
problems, food problems, clothing problems. All
was in readiness. It was likely Sharon's Mom was
in more of a fit than Sharon, and Alewka Henry
would likely be acutely aware of what was
happening, too.
The two kids decided to go down to the
restaurant for a couple milk shakes.
Upon arriving they were surprised to see
Alewka and Sam Henry. "What are you guys doing
here?"
"We just came down to relax a little. What are
you guys doing here is the question? It is you two
who are supposed to be running around in a tizzy
just making sure everything is ready." Sam
laughed.
"I guess when you live by higher law life gets
much easier Dad." Tim was commenting to the
question Sam had asked.
"That's right. I am glad I learned. Tomorrow
promises to be a busy day. Are you guys ready?"
"You mean folks will begin to arrive tomorrow,
or the wedding practice?" asked Sharon.
"Both."
"We're as ready as we'll ever be. They say
you're to pay your nickel and take your chances.
Well, we've paid our nickel. The rest, well, what
will be will be."
"Oh ho! Look at who is little Miss Calm and
Confident. Good for you two. I think it will be a
wonderful wedding. Sharon, how are your folks
coming along. Do they need any last minute help?"
"I don't know, Mom. We were going to go over
there after we had a milk shake. Maybe you'd like
to come along."
Alewka looked at Sam and they each nodded to
the other. "Sure, honey. That would be a good
idea. We will."
They all ordered and then finished their
beverages with small talk occupying their
attention. When done they rose and prepared to go
over to the Smithson's.
Just as everyone had thought, the Smithson's
were in a bit of a fuss. Harriett was just
finishing the wedding cake. It was a beautiful
creation she had put a lot of time into. It was
three layered and she had gone out and bought
little plastic pieces that were used as the
columns between layers, plus a small plastic
wedding couple to decorate the top of the cake.
Only the lower two layers were cake. The top
'layer' was only a fake decoration.
"Harriett that is beautiful. I've not seen one
so lovely before. It really looks like it was made
with love. It will be a shame to have to cut into
it. My you have done nice work." Alewka was some
impressed.
That made Harriett feel good. She knew that
anything the Henry's did was always perfect and
she also knew she did not have the same capacity,
so it was important to her that she did a good job
on the cake. That Alewka thought it was beautiful
was a huge step in the right direction for
Harriett. "Thank you Alewka. I appreciate that."
"Harriett, I mean that. I wish I had your
talent, but when it comes to baking I'm all
thumbs. This is wonderful. How are you two doing?
All ready?"
"Oh, I hope so. The time has gone by so
quickly it's hard to believe. Bob picked up the
men's tuxes yesterday. I have my dress, and now
the cake is done. I guess we are as ready as we'll
ever be."
"Good. Would you like Sam and Tim to take the
cake out to the lake? That way it'll be there and
it will be one less thing to worry about tomorrow
and Saturday."
