Is Mount Vesuvius still active?
The eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, burying the
cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, is perhaps the most
famous volcanic eruption on record and one of the first
to be documented by an eyewitness. And yes, the volcano
is still active. Mount Vesuvius has erupted several
times since 79 AD, the most recent eruption occurring
in 1944. The most deadly eruption was in 1631.
Who invented aspirin?
Aspirin wasn't really invented, but discovered.
Scientists in 1829 discovered that a compound called
salicin in willow plants relieved pain. But they
weren't really the first to understand that.
Hippocrates, who lived sometime between 460 BC and 377
BC, wrote about the use of powder made from the bark
and leaves of a willow tree to treat headaches, fever,
and pain.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby

Faith That Twitches Your Toes!
Do you have any real idea what faith is?
Oh, I know what the church says. But do you know in your
heart of hearts what real faith is?
It is not a belief in God. It is not a belief in the church,
the Pope or any of those teachings.
Real faith can be expressed without any religious training
whatever.
It is the unconditional, unreserved, no alternative belief
in your ownself and in an end result. It is the "picturing",
in advance of seeing, and the unreserved belief in the
outcome, before the fact.
Do you have that kind of faith?
Have you ever watched a little child as it was tossed in the
air by a loved one?
The child may not like being thrown, that is true. Yet, the
thought of being dropped never enters the childs mind. It
also never enters the childs mind that it might go hungry.
It TRUSTS ABSOLUTE.
In fact the child trusts so deep there is not only no
question, no such contrary thoughts even are present. THAT'S
FAITH.
We have been admonished before to have "faith as little
children" and that is as necessary today as at any time in
history.
If you possess that "KNOWING", that faith, concerning any
project you are working on, what do you think will be the
result?
That faith is what moves mountains. Even without knowledge,
that faith will produce the result sought, for it will find
the knowledge.
Nothing can assure you of success more than having that kind
of faith that knows in advance that success is assured.
It is that rock solid knowing, beyond even any thought to
the contrary that the desired result is assured.
If you would like success that is guaranteed then develop ...

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.
The Saga Of Pinehill, The Adventure
is now in bookstores. A controversial and powerful story.
It will change your life. Go to

"Hello Maz."
"Hello, Sien. It is good to see you. There are
so many here I haven't had a chance to get around
to you yet. How are things happening?"
"As with you all is well. How are the kids?"
"They are both fine, and wonderful. I like
being a Dad. Bueno is now working with them to
use higher law. By the way, the Wiley kids are
considerably advanced. Those are the benefits of
living in the village, I guess."
"And of having such loving and knowledgeable
parents, Maz."
"Oh, I guess so. But these kids are smart.
They pick this up easy. When I think of the
generations and the number of lifetimes I had to
go through to reach higher law I am impressed at
what my own children are doing. By the way I have
been wanting to thank you for working with Bueno
(Eloise) those many years ago. It is strange how
she came to our village and how things worked out
since."
"Thank you for your comments. You know you
would have done the same. And, remember, nothing
happens by coincidence. All has purpose in our
Maker's world. This is some affair isn't it?"
"It sure is. I love to be with these people.
Even the ones who don't live by higher law are
blending in just fine. This is a wonderful get
together. It would be nice to do something like
this annually."
"It would, but then the value might wear thin.
We do appreciate because it doesn't happen often,
Maz. Have you had lunch yet?"
"No, hungry?"
"Yeah! Let's go eat."
They walked over to the food table where there
was so much food it was amazing. It was set with
every kind of food imaginable, from every land. No
wonder it drew people. And, as you might expect,
Alewka had it set up so there were no flies or
other insects about and that the condition for the
food was such that it was continually fresh.
Sien looked over to some of the chairs lining
the wall of the cabin. There was a woman there
holding her head in her hands. Her husband was
next to her trying to console her.
"May I help?" Sien had walked over to help. He
knew what the problem was but the woman didn't.
"I ... I don't know what is wrong. I feel
faint, dizzy, ill in my stomach. Yet I was fine
before I arrived here, and I haven't eaten
anything."
Sien waved his hands in front of her and told
her she would be fine from now on.
"What did you do?" She was much more animated
now and it was clear she was fine.
"Many of these people live by higher law, just
as the Henrys do. That means they broadcast
love, always. It is the combined effect of all
these people that has you feeling woozy. I just
placed a shield around you so you would not absorb
any more than you could use. Some souls are highly
sensitive to that force. You will be fine now."
"Thank you. Yes, I feel fine. What is your
name?"
"I am called Sien, and you may call me that if
you wish."
"Thank you, Sien. Thank you. I was really
feeling ill and thinking I might have to go home.
I am fine now. Thank you.
"You are welcome, and what is your name?
"I am Mary Hamilton Day and this is my
husband, Brock Stanley. We are friends of Eloise
and Mazunta. Now that you mention it, they were
over for a visit a year or so back and I felt
something like this then. Is this 'force' always
present with you people?"
Sien laughed. "Yes, I guess it is. It is
the life force. It is what gives life, movement,
impetus to things. It is the essence of the
universe. Some, like yourself, are very sensitive
to it and should be introduced to it at a lesser
pace. You are doing fine."
Brock stuck his hand out, "Thank you. We
appreciate you telling us this. We wondered what
was happening. Thank you for your help."
"You are welcome. Excuse me. I see someone I
would like to speak with." Sien excused himself
and walked over to speak with Mombudo and Kenyata.
"Hello, you two. How are you?
"Hello, Sien," Mombudo returned, "We are fine.
This is some show. Sam and Alewka have really
thrown a party. We don't see much of this back
home."
"In a way you do Mombudo. It is just
different, that's all."
"I guess so. This is nice though. We like it.
We don't often get to spend time with those we
love and this gathering is just wonderful. Are you
conducting the ceremony, like you did for Romano
and Oomano?"

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!
"Never, for the sake of peace and quiet, deny your own
experience or convictions." -? Dag Hhammarskjold
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
HA! HA! HA!
A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich
behind him.
As he sits, the waitress comes over and asks for their
orders. The man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a
coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?" "I'll have
the same," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress
returns with the order. "That will be $6.40 please," and the
man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change
for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man
says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and the
ostrich says, "I'll have the same." Once again the man
reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes a routine until late one evening, the two enter
again. "The usual?" asks the waitress. "No, this is Friday
night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and salad," says
the man, "same for me," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress comes with the order and
says, "That will be $12.62." Once again the man pulls exact
change out of his pocket and places it on the table.
The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer.
"Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with
the exact change out of your pocket every time?"
"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the
attic and I found an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie
appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that
if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand
in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be
there."
"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would
wish for a million dollars or something, but you'll always
be as rich as you want for as long as you live!" "That's
right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the
exact money is always there," says the man.
The waitress asks, "One other thing, sir, what's with the
ostrich?"
The man sighs, pauses, and answers, "My second wish was for
a tall chick with long legs who agrees with everything I
say."
