The news from around the net lately is again interesting.
It appears that doing business over the net is still
increasing, and that broadband is a major contributor.
It seems that broadband is permitting sites and pages
to load fast and is closer to keeping pace with the
decision making process.
There remains a problem, however, with shopping carts,
particularly with first time buyers. It seems repeat customers
have no problem with shopping carts, yet new visitors to
sites, which can represent up to 95% of the traffic, are
responsible for 78% of abandoned shopping carts. It
remains a problem everyone is working on.
This information comes by way of an ACNeilson study
commissioned by eBay?PayPal.
Another item of interest is now you don't have to go to
the doctor in certain circumstances. Blue Cross Blue
Shield of Massachusetts has a plan where Doctors,
paying $50.00 per month for the service, can offer
advice to patients over the internet. Patients pay $5 for
each time. It is considered that pays for the doctor's
time and causes less congestion in the office. The doctor
gets paid the $5 from the patient plus $19 from Blue Cross.
That amounts to $24 per internet visit. Considering a
doctor could conceivably handle 12 to 15 patients per
hour even one hour per day can yield up to $360. Not
a bad hourly wage.
I am quite certain man's imagination will have many
more staple services come to use the internet. We will
soon see a day when we are using the internet to do
things we swore, even last year, would never happen.
The internet is changing the way we live, the way we
do business, and the way we shop.
We will be doing things over the net we never thought
possible. I remember having a discussion with a person a
couple years back where he was certain there were some
things we will never do over the net. However right or
wrong he might have been one thing is certain, as every
day passes more and more things are being done on the
net and folks can accomplish much more of their daily
routine right from a chair in their own house.
Even industry is creating ways of causing their customers
to use the internet rather than having to come to their
place of business.
It is clear that the internet will become the way of life in
our future. If you are involved with a business that is not
presently marketing over the internet, I mean actively
marketing, such as with a newsletter, then get management
to become involved. It will soon become necessary if
management wants to stay in business.

If you want to copy a Table of Contents to another document.
It can be done. Before copying it, however, you need to unlock
it. Unlocking means to disconnect TOC entries from the headings
to which they refer. To unlock a TOC, click in the margin to the
left of the first entry to select the TOC. Next, press
Ctrl+Shift+F9. Now you can copy or move the TOC to
another document. Because Word gives the text of TOCs the
Hyperlink character style, you have to change the color of the
text in the TOC (it's blue) and remove the underlines.

ALZHEIMER'S disease usually affects people over
age 65, although it can appear in people as young
as 40 (then may be called Pick's Disease, although
it's post-mortem's findings are different…). It is a
degenerative disease of nerve cells in a certain part
of the brain that leads to shrinking of cells. This leads
to senile dementia, a chronic mental disorder. As
the disease progresses, a variety of symptoms may
become apparent, including loss of memory, confusion,
irritability, and restlessness, as well as disorientation
and impaired judgement and concentration. The
cause is not fully understood. Late-onset cases, which
are the vast majority, may be caused by a combination
of genetic and environmental factors. There is as yet
no known cure. Treatment includes relieving the
patient's symptoms and alleviating stress on caregivers
through support groups and counseling services.
Personally, I have seen amazing results when people
have used quality supplementation.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

Living by higher law was a bit of a shock for
Miguele and Abetta, at first. It came upon them
when they were least execting it and not even
thinking or looking for it.
They had been concentrating on Oomano's wedding to
Romano, so much, they thought of nothing else.
That is the way with parents when their offspring
get married. It is a much bigger day for parents
than most realize. Most think it is a big day for
the bride, but you should be her Father.
So Miguele and Abetta had no idea the wedding
would turn out to be such a miraculous event for
all present.
Looking back they were grateful down to the very
core of their being, yet it was still a large
surprise.
Sitting around, after supper, they were talking of
the changes this would make in their lives.
"The kids will soon be away on tasks, plans,
hopes, dreams and missions of their own. We will
be left here, alone in this house, like two peas
in a pod." said Miguele.
"That should not be a concern to you. Now you not
only have your miracle truck, but you can do all
things the girls and Missy are able to do,
including live as long as you want and in better
health than you had before the wedding. That
should please you?" Abetta asked.
"Oh, it does. I was only wondering if it removes
my sense of purpose?" he responded.
"I don't know how. You may not be going to work,
but you have filled this house with children that
needed our help. Your heart is that wanting to
serve mankind. I am certain you will find ways of
doing that to keep yourself busy and purposeful."
Abetta was always the wise and knowing one.
"I think you're right. I'll be busy no matter what
happens in a day. What a wonderful thing, living
by higher law. Who would have guessed you and I
would learn. It was a good day, indeed, when we
met Missy." he said.
"Yes, it was. I have always been pleased our girls
wanted to live as she. They have contributed much
to the lives of the less fortunate in this city.
There are hundred of street kids whose lives have
become better because of what our girls have done,
and now we can contribute. The nice thing about it
is that I feel no need to get rewarded for it. I
have no need to stand on a streetcorner and say
'Look what I have done.' I feel strong and
complete within myself. It's wonderful." she
commented.
"That's true. That's the way I feel too. I guess
things will be alright. It's hard to leave old
habits." said Miguele.
"Maybe we should go visit the Oomano and Romano!"
she said.
Little did she know Romano and Oomano were
thinking the same thing. Yet it was late in the
day so now would not be the time. Maybe tomorrow.
"What are you going to do about your work,
Miguele?" she asked, "Are you going to continue
working?"
"I have been thinking about that. Now that I do
not have to I think I will quit. I know we will be
busy, just like Sam and Alewka. Hey! Let's go
visit them too. It's too late now but I would like
to see where they live. I have not ever been
there, and Missy and Mazunta, too. We have never
been there either. Come to think of it we haven't
been anywhere. We just stay home and work. I know
what we'll be doing for the next little while." he
winked at Abetta.
The pair of them had been as close to a perfect
couple as you could imagine. That is to say, they
rarely, if ever fought. They just seemed know what
each one wanted or needed and looked after it.
Now, after forty years of marriage they had
nothing to fight about. They simply enjoyed each
others company and did most everything together.
Miguele always thought that was nice.
