The Secret of Mind Sets...

"I joined this supposedly fabulous program," Jim
told us over the phone. "It is an internet business
making lots of people really good incomes."
"Oh?"
"Yes, well, I joined because a friend of mine did,
and he's doing really well. Maybe not $1000 a
week, but a good $500. He joined because another
friend was making about $1500 every week, with
good weeks being over $2000."
"Sounds like a winner."
"That is what I want to talk with you about. How
come I can't even get $200 a week? I do everything
that they do, right to the letter. My ads go out
every Monday without fail. I advertise in the newspaper.
But I just do not get the hits."
"Hate to say it, but you must be missing something."
"That's what I want you to help me find. I e-mailed
the program originators, and they said I had to be
doing something wrong. They have never had anyone
really fail before, so they are sure it cannot be in
the program. They even led me through the process
as they see it."
"Surely they found something?"
"No. Even with their direct help, my results are still
zip. And my friend is still stuck on his $500 to $1000
a week. He had expected it to go up after a
few months."
"What do you think we can do for you? Remember,
our business also needs an income, so we will have
to charge you for our time, even if we cannot make
you successful."
"Just show me how to make the program make some
money. I do not care how much, because, otherwise,
I feel like a failure. I feel stupid. And ripped
off because I believed the hype."
How many people can sympathise with Jim?
If such systems are failure-proof, why do almost 95%
of the participants end up like Jim?
How many people have heard, like Jim, that the
problem is with them and their mindset, not the
system? The mindset answer is part of the truth. But
mind set is not just about "prosperity consciousness";
it is about what one expects for the effort that
one puts in. Or, as I have said elsewhere, matching
one's purpose to the company's purpose. When the
two purposes are aligned, people succeed. The less
alignment, the more likely a person is to fail.
With Jim, we sat down and once again worked out
his business and personal Purpose Statement. The
basic structure in our approach to Purpose Statements
is to determine:
- What the business or person needs
- What the likely buyers need
- Who the likely buyers are
- What values are important to the business or person?
- What values are meaningful to the buyers?
It takes a good couple of hours to produce a
Purpose Statement with a meaningful detail, but it
is always a worthwhile exercise, since the statement
keeps one focussed on what one is really trying to
achieve. We then went through the program, and
developed its purpose statement as well as we could.
This part took a lot longer than Jim's personal Purpose
Statement, partly because Jim kept trying to impose
his version on the company. Then we compared the
two. It should be no surprise that Jim's Purpose was
very different from the company's. In fact, relative to
the company, Jim met its needs but it did
not meet his.
Mindset? One could call it that. People who live to
their own Purpose, which includes almost everyone,
do have a mindset. The company had one mindset,
and Jim had another. Jim could not work comfortably
with the company's mindset. Despite a great deal of
effort, he could not adjust his to it; he could not make
it fit his own mindset. We talked with the others Jim
knew in the program. Most had dropped out very
quickly - like Jim, their purpose was very different
from the company's. Those who did well had purpose
statements that varied only slightly from the
company's.
Yes, the company was right: people did not have the
mindset to succeed with that company. When we found
a company whose purpose statement fitted nicely with
Jim's, Jim began to earn a sizeable income, one that
has increased by about 10% per month for the last six
months, and is likely to keep growing. Consider your
own experiences with so-called Web Goldmines. Have
you found one that really fits with you and your purpose?
Until you do, you will not really succeed.

Word 2002
Besides making backup copies of your documents
on your own, you can tell Word to make backup copies
for you. Under this arrangement, Word makes a
second copy of the document and keeps it in the same
folder as the original. However, the backup copy is
made only when you, and not Word, save the
document. If a power failure occurs, you can't recover
the work you did in the last few minutes, although you
can recover the version of the document that was
saved the last time you saved the document.
To tell Word to create backup copies of your documents,
choose Tools, then Options, select the Save tab in the
Options dialog box, and check the Always Create
Backup Copy check box.

How would you and I figure that out what your body
really needs? I don't know and I suspect you wouldn't
be able to go to a health food store and pick out all the
correct ingredients either. I have shown in other articles
how the body always strives for balance...in it's hormones,
cell nutrition, blood components, organ team work: fight/flight
mechanism, etc. So if one part is out of balance, it borrows
from another part. By supplying optimal amounts of these
nutrients, no part would have to borrow anything, but each
would get back to performing the job it is designed to do.
When I speak to people about their Meniere's condition,
I use an analogy of the road full of potholes. The longer
the street is left like that, the deeper the erosion of the
roadbed occurs. Then filling it in becomes a big job and
"optimal amounts" of fill must be used. However, once
the road is back to normal, little maintenance is required.
So I invite you to see if you have any "potholes" in your
body, and if you do, fill them with top quality
supplementation, and live a long and active life.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

They set up a small fire and all sat around it,
just talking, as they prepared an evening meal.
Even the pig was tired after such a long days
walk.
"We are maybe half days walk from my home. We walk
faster when the load is shared. On my way out to
where I met you I was making much less distance
per day." said Shing Li.
They cooked a meal, ate, cleaned up, then simply
enjoyed the rest of the day. They talked long into
the night, keeping the small fire going as the
focal point amongst them.
Mae heard noises, in the long grasses that
surrounded them. She immediately rendered herself
invisible, then hovered over the area where she
heard the noises.
Just as she thought. There were two men trying to
sneak up on them at the fire. They had seen the
fire from the roadway and were sneaking up to see
if there was anything worth plunder. They did not
appear to be carrying weapons.
Mae returned to the fire and made herself visible
once more.
"There are two men trying to sneak up on us. They
are crawling on their hands and knees through the
grass. Be not alarmed. Their intentions will
reward them." said Mae.
She immediately set up a "safe circle" around
them. It was a circle of love. If the intentions
of the men was honorable they could pass through
the cirlcle and would be welcomed and fed.
If their intentions were to do harm, rob,stealor worse,
then they would be met with a surprise about five
feet inside the circle.
The women simply sat there and waited.
"Aren't you going to do anything?" asked Shing Li.
"Do not worry, Shing Li. When you live by higher
law you are always safe. You could not be safer
than you are right now. Relax and all will be
well. If they mean well, we will invite them to
eat. Yet they crawl and sneak, so I believe their
intentions are not honorable. In that case they
are in for a surprise.
Suddenly they heard a scream, Then there was a
hollering and much noise. There was a scrambling,
loud talk and then running, the noise getting less
and less as they ran.
"What happened?" asked Shing Li.
"These men were planning of raping us and then
stealing your pig. I set up a circle of
protection. If their intent had been honorable
they would have been allowed to enter. But they
were planning to do harm, and so were wary that
there might be some protection around or men in
the camp. They expected to see something that
would harm them, that is why they were sneaking.
Since they were crawling on the ground, like
snakes, I merely allowed them to see some snakes.
They were already suspicious there would be some
trouble, I simply allowed their minds to see what
they expected to see. As they approached they were
suddenly faced with a nest of poisonous snakes,
prepared to attack. The snakes were not real, of
course, but they thought they were and so they
ran." said Mae.
"So you set up a mirage. Is that what you did?"
asked Shing Li.
"Shing Li, you must always remember the law, 'As
ye sow, so shall ye reap.' I am not allowed to do
harm to anyone, or harm will come back to me. Yet
if someone wants to harm me, they, too, shall be
setting up a condition where they shall enjoy
harm. All I did was set up a spiritual wall that
permitted their intentions to be visited upon them
before they were able to carry them out. They,
being suspicious anyway, expected to see something
that would get in the way of what they were
planning. I simply accomodated their expectations.
They run in fear, but in reality there were not
even snakes there. They just thought there were.
Now they have gone, have not hurt us and are not,
themselves, hurt. All is well and we shall have a
peaceful night." answered Mae.
