In these days of do more, be more, have more, it
may be wise to get off the beaten track and reflect on
what is best for you in the workplace. What fits your
lifestyle? What fits your integrity? What captures
your interest? What warms your heart?
I once read a story about a young lawyer who
was joining a prestigious firm. She was spending
a quiet evening with her grandmother and she told
her that she was going to do all that she could to
advance in her new organization. She would take
a night school course to become an expert in her
specialty, and join community organizations to
bring in business. She was determined to do
everything and 'learn it all'. To her mind, the picture
she was painting was one of the perfect employee.
Doing all those things would win her recognition,
acceptance and an elevated career path.
The expected approval and enthusiasm from her
grandmother was not forthcoming. Smiling at her
well-meaning granddaughter, she said: "Be good at
whatever you do and do only what you are willing to
do well." This startled the young lawyer and caused
her a great deal of deep thought. After a few nights of
poor sleep, she embraced her grandmother's wisdom.
Now she is the esteemed senior partner in her firm.
Hopefully, you have chosen your work carefully. If
not, rethink it. If so, are you making sure that you are
good at what you do? Do you stay up-to-speed in your
industry? Then, add that next step, do only what you
are willing to do well. This may take some honesty but
it will have tremendous impact on all areas of your life.
Apply this wisdom liberally. Imagine the impact it will
have on your relationships!

menu. The utility is called 'System Monitor.' Open it,

Blood, Its Circulation And Its Pressure

Can you see then that a problems with inadequate
amounts of these requirements leaves vital life
supporting help unfulfilled?
Problems with blood or the lack of it can arise in several
ways. By now you know the importance of blood and its
components. We may only see the red liquid, but it
carries vital cargo! Problems can arise with
a) the blood itself as in anemia, cancer, or debris such as
potential clots
b) with the condition of the corridors system major trauma,
leaks (aneurysms) or wall build ups
c) blood components, not being available in adequate amounts
d) end cell (recipient) not being able to handle the blood as it
already has too many waste products, or the components not being
there, or the cell too weak from inadequate nutrients chemicals
and oxygen.
There are other situations, but these fit into what we are
learning here.
Anemia is a condition in which there is a reduction in oxygen
cell delivery to the tissues. This is due to a reduction in the
number of red cells throughout the body: not just in one area.
It may result from increased destruction of red cells, excessive
blood loss or decreased production of red cells.

There are many types and potential causes of anemia.
Another health condition could be cancers in the form of
leukemia where you can have too many white blood cells
and too few platelets (for clotting) and red blood cells for
carrying oxygen. So you can see how a person could easily
be tired (not enough oxygen). They could have many
infections, an imbalance in white blood cells and red
blood cells and could bleed more easily. (Platelets missing.)
As mentioned earlier, hemoglobin is the most important component
of red blood cells. It is a protein that carries oxygen from the
lungs to the body's tissues, and carbon dioxide from the tissues
to the lungs to be exhaled (waste products). Abnormalities of an
individual's hemoglobin can effect red blood cell balance, which
in turn can effect many body functions, including energy levels.
Both low and high values can indicate unhealthy states. It's
always about balance. But think of it, if you can't get enough
oxygen being carried to your cells, you will be really depleted
in energy and that affects all you do or are motivated to do.
And this is what blood pressure is all about. It pushes blood
throughout the body with regular beats or contractions of your
heart, twenty-four hours a day. And the goal is to have a
sizable spread from the systolic reading to the diastolic
reading. That will indicate a healthy heart at work and then at
rest or recovery.

Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began, and
David Wylie, age 20, were selected, by a
stranger in town, to take a dangerous trip, together.
The idea was that each was to take only the clothes
on their back, and go anywhere in the world where
the stranger took them. They were to be left there
to find their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they were.
Upon their safe return there was a million dollars
waiting in their bank account for them. If one did not
make it that money would go to the survivor. If neither
made it the money would go to their families.
The story deals with their adventures along the way
and leads into the only way they could survive. That was
for Eloise to learn higher law and commit her life to
that end. Along the way she learns how to perform
many a miracle.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures

from my life?" asked Shing Li.
"You will find an inner strength grows and
develops. You will find you take on a global love
for all things. You will find you can take comfort
in no longer being involved in the affairs of man.
Only those things you do concern you. You are now
in a postion to give without any thought of
return, not even any emotional satisfaction. In
other words you can actually give with a pure
heart and you set up no bonds between you and
those to whom you give. They may respond
emotionally yet you will not. You will give to all
equally and if you can show others how to live, by
your example, they may follow. That is what your
Maker would want of you." answered Susan.
"I don't understand why I must learn to live
without emotion. Is that not human? Is it not
natural?" asked Shing Li.
"Shing Li, all of life is growth. When you were a
child it was perfectly natural for you to cry when
you were hurt or wanted something. As you grew and
matured you left those childish things and matured
into an adult. Now, that growth must continue and
you leave the things that hamper adults, keeping
them in bondage, and progress to living by higher
law. Remember, no one is forcing you to do this.
You must make your choices and live with them."
answered Susan.
"You make it hard on me. I must leave the world I
know for a world I don't know." said Shing Li.
"Yes, Shing Li. It is a paradox. You must give up
your life, if you would live. Except you are one
of the more fortunate ones. You, at least, have
the example of Mae and I in front of you so you
can see what life is like for us. You merely have
to make your choice. For others, who have no such
example in front of them the choices are harder.
They must go inside and communicate with their
Maker to determine the right course of action. The
choices are the same, but their only support is
from inside." said Susan.
"So, what if I fail?" asked Shing Li.
"Tell me how can you fail?" asked Susan right
back.
"Well, what if I only get part way? I try but
cannot seem to get there?" asked Shing Li.
"Tell me something. If you saw your child crawling
toward the edge of the porch and was about to fall
off, would you just watch, thinking that maybe she
wouldn't, that she would see the danger?" asked
Susan.
"No, I would rush to save her from harm." said
Shing Li.
"Yes, and would you let anything stop you?" asked
Susan.
"No." came the answer.
"Exactly. You would be determined and accept no
alternative. You would go get your child to
safety. This is the same. There is no failure
unless you accept it. The degree of your
committment must be that certain. You will not
fail, because you cannot fail, when you accept
nothing less than crossing the veil and living by
higher law. The choices are yours all the way."
said Susan.
"So you are saying that all the time I am in
complete charge of my life and that all is a
matter of what I choose, even if I choose to
accept less than what I want?" asked Shing Li.
"Certainly. That has always been the case, even
though you may not have realized it up to now.
That is the case with all men, regardless whether
they blame others for their condition or not. Each
has choices and you become what you have chosen."
said Sue.
"But I cannot see how just my thoughts can let me
do what you and Mae do." said Shing Li.
