What are the "Seven Seas"?
What is the only ocean that encircles the entire earth

--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Why do crocodiles eat stones?
Crocs eat rocks to help in digestion and to add weight
(now that's a novel concept!) so that they can stay
submerged underwater. (Crocodiles can stay submerged
for as long as an hour.) On average, a crocodile
contains 10 to 15 pounds of stone in its stomach. The
stones must fill them up, because crocodiles really
don't eat that much and not very often either. Because
they are slow-moving and cold blooded, they can survive
on about the same amount of food as a bird.
What is the difference between an ocean and a sea?
Many people use the words interchangeably, but there
really are differences between an ocean and a sea. An
ocean is a large area of salt water unobstructed by
continents, while a sea is partially or entirely
enclosed by land.

Here's To Think On ...
with Ken Darby
------------------------------------
You Can Set Your Clock By Him!
Years ago in a town where I lived a little old man used
to go by every day to get his paper. Likewise about an
hour later he would go by on his way back home. This
happened everyday of the week including Sunday.
This little old man was retired, of course, and was
doing what he could to keep himself entertained, enjoy
the walk, enjoy the people he met and ultimately enjoy
his paper.
The most striking thing I noticed about that entire
thing was his dependability. Everyday, at the same
time, not one second soon nor one second late, he
passed by my place. I was always intrigued by that
consistency.
Over the years I got to trust he would be there. He was
so dependable when everything else was changing I found
it a comfort just to see him everyday.
Even as a youth I used to think that, Gee!, if people
got to know that a business was run that way, that a
business owner cared enough about his audience to be
that consistent and trustworthy, then that would be the
place people would like to deal. After all, with so
many things inconsistent isn't it nice to deal with
someone whom you know is going to be there, always,
through thick and thin?
It is neat when new ideas come on the market. It is
neat when new people come to the marketplace. It is
neat when the changes that occur are interesting,
fascinating and challenging. Yet is wonderful when you
can go back to that one business that is always there,
always delivers straight goods and services and has
been there long enough you know you can trust them.
It seems to me if I were going to start out a business
and want products and services that would help me
succeed I would want to get those from the business
that was proven to be there, to be tried and true, that
has shown themselves trustworthy.
I wonder, am I any different than you? Is that the kind
of place where you would like to deal? Is that trust
worth a lot to you?
If so, then you know what you must become. You know how
you must set up your business and your policies. You
know what you must do to be there for your customers.
Bear in mind too, that you dont have to be doing
business to require characteristics like this. Imagine
that if you had a reputation for being dependable,
consitent, reliable, what would that do to your
employability?
Remember the principle taught by that little old man.
You Can Set Your Clock By Him!

Your Heart And Your Courage:
Both Belong To You
Both Must Be Nurtured And Respected
PART 8 of 11
If you took this to a ridiculous end, lets picture you
standing in front of a judge. You are asked why you
consented to this procedure or took this drug, knowing
it might be a problem for you. Now you answer you
didnt know because you didnt understand what was
going on. Ignorance is not bliss. Its insanity! The
point I am making is that you do have the right to know
what is going on in your body. Moreover it is your
responsibility to know. I recently asked a gentleman
what his consent form said in regards to possible
complications for his major eye surgery. He had no
idea. He just signed it, but he didnt think anything
was listed there. Not good.
So you must find a way to ask questions that get
answers. You need to ask them in a way that it makes
you comfortable with those answers. This is not as easy
as it sounds, but lets start with bringing along a
friend. Make sure that the doctor will agree because
now the privacy laws are pretty strict. If you cant
take a friend, bring a tape recorder. And absolutely
bring paper and pen, but out of courtesy tell your
doctor what you are doing. It might SEEM, at this
point, to be easier not to pursue the right to know
concept. Please stick with it. Your health, your
integrity and your self confidence depend on your
perseverance. I guarantee that if you face your fear of
doing this, and stick with it, you will almost feel
smug when you realize what you have accomplished!
You must not feel inferior that you dont understand
the lingo. Chances are that your specific career has
language that only your and your peers know. Language
like that is developed for ease of conversation and
professional standards. But that doesnt make you any
better or worse. You are different, thats all. But now
you are stepping into another persons territory (your
doctors) and you need to understand the language. You
now have to make some important decisions.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many adventures
and many places.

"How is it you learned different, Dad?"
"Maz, that's a long story but the real truth
is that I just happened to be in a condition where
I could see. I removed myself from all the things
you saw in Pinehill and brought your Mother down
here to live. While here we had none of the
pressures upon us Pinehill creates. Then one day I
made the decision I wanted to learn higher law. I
worked with Boolanga, Mazunta and Aunt Missy. They
showed me things, but it wasn't until I made the
final commitment that it happened for me. Your Mom
and I went to a wedding for a friend up river and
while there Jesus came and gave everyone at the
ceremony a chance to live by higher law. Your Mom
made the decision to live by the rules of her
Maker at that ceremony. Now, Maz, it's your turn
and you and I must work until you cross the veil
of simplicity, that is if you want to."
"Oh, yes, Dad. I want to. I see you and Mom
helping people and I want to do the same. I always
knew I was special, Mae Eloise does too. We talked
while we were in Pinehill. We both know we are
different than other kids."
"In truth, Maz, you are not. What sets you
apart is only your thoughts. All men can think
like you or Mom or I, all men. It is a matter of
choice, Maz, that's all. That alone is what allows
you to think you are different. You must never
lose sight of that, Maz. Each of us is the same
but our thinking makes us different. This
opportunity is for all men all over the world. In
that all men are equal, regardless of race, color,
religion or body condition. All can speak with
their Maker within and all can live by higher
law."
"So what do I have to do, Dad?"
"Maz, you are already way ahead of many who
want to live by higher law. Nearly everyday you
see your Mother prepare our supper using higher
law. You witness me traveling or creating things
by higher law. You have come to expect that is the
natural way of things. That is good. What I want
you to do is two things. First I want you to think
long and hard on the law 'As ye sow, so shall ye
reap.' Understand that law applies to what you put
into your brain as well as everywhere else. If you
put right thoughts into your head they will
produce right fruit. If you put wrong thoughts
into your head they will produce wrong fruit. You
must understand there is no place in your life for
hatred, anger, fear, regret, thoughts of
unworthiness or anything that will produce wrong
results, the results you don't want. You must
forgive yourself completely, absolutely and
unconditionally for all wrong you think you have
done. Then you must understand unequivocally that
this is the life your Maker wants for you and for
all men. Can you do that?"
"Yes, Dad, but you said there were two
things."
"Yes, I did. The next thing I want you to do
is to learn to meditate. That is where you go
inside to meet your Maker. It is not as easy as
you might think. You and I are speaking here, now,
using a language we both know and understand.
However, if you were to go elsewhere in the world
where they spoke a different language then you
would not understand until you learned the
language. So to, when you want to communicate with
your Maker. Most people go into a quiet place,
become still and start talking as if they were
speaking to someone. Most people never shut up,
they just keep on talking. They fail to realize
that communication is both speaking and listening.
The listening part is the hard part. There are two
things which make it hard. The first thing is that
people, even though they are not speaking with
their mouths, still keep talking within their
minds. You must come to a point where you are
saying nothing within your mind, Maz. You must get
to that point where you are seeing things, but not
talking about them or anything. In the outside
world, Maz, we look at something and we say to
ourselves "Oh, the river is higher this morning."
When in meditation you can observe that but you
say nothing, you just see and go on looking at
other things. Once you learn to stop talking
within your own mind you are now ready for the
second step. You now begin to see things you never
saw before. You see that the life force that
motivates you is the same life force that
motivates all. You begin to see relationships that
exist between things. You begin to see the make up
of your Maker's world. You get closer to your
Maker and suddenly you begin to understand life
and the things in it. You start to see that
nothing is good or bad, it just is. You start to
know you are a part of your Maker's world and that
you can do these things your Maker wants you to
do. One day you will see the beautiful simplicity
of life and how you can do all the things you see
your Mother and I do. When you understand that you
simply step across that veil of simplicity and
claim your birthright."

HA! HA! HA!
A kid and his mom were walking on the sidewalk in
Dallas. The kid, being 100% Texan, upon seeing some
cowboys, said, "Hey Maw, look at them thar men with
them thar bowed laigs."
She said that if he didn't start speaking correct
English, she was going to send him to a Shakespearean
English school.
A little furtyher along, they saw some more cowboys.
"Hey maw! Look at them thar men with them thar bowed
legs!" he said.
So, true to her word, she sent him off to a
Shakespearean English school to learn correct English.
He came home several months later on vacation. As they
walked together down the sidewalk, they saw some
cowboys. "Hark!" he said, "What manner of men are these
who wear their legs in parentheses?"
