Kidman marries singer Keith Urban
Actress Nicole Kidman has married her singer boyfriend Keith
Urban at an evening ceremony in Sydney.
The Moulin Rouge star arrived at the cliff-top gothic church
in Manly dressed in a flowing white gown and veil and
clutching a posy of roses.
X-Men actor Hugh Jackman, media magnate Rupert Murdoch and
King Kong actress Naomi Watts were among the celebrants at
the service in a suburb of the city.
A statement released by the couple thanked everyone for
their best wishes.
It said: "We just want to thank everone in Australia and
around the world who have sent us their warm wishes."
A crowd of well-wishers gathered outside the St Patrick's
estate before the wedding.
The onlookers cheered when Kidman's Rolls Royce limousine
came past and had to slow down to avoid hitting anyone.
Waved
Police moved in to clear a path for the car.
Kidman smiled and waved to the crowd as the car pulled into
the estate of the former seminary.
The star accompanied by father Antony, arrived in a cream
limousine after driving from her harbour side mansion in
another part of the city - followed all the way by media
helicopters.
She held a long-stemmed posy and wore drop pearl earrings
and a willowy veil.
Some of the observers climbed trees and the stone wall
outside the compound trying to catch a glimpse of activity
inside
Guards were positioned around the church compound, which is
surrounded by a stone wall and a high-wire fence.
Ninety minutes after the Oscar-winning actress entered the
church its bells rang out, signalling the end of the service
and the start of her marriage to Urban.
A photograph of the couple enjoying a dance at their wedding
was later released showing the pair holding hands and
looking relaxed.
On Saturday Urban's manager said the couple wanted "a normal
wedding with their friends and family" - among them movie
stars Naomi Watts and Russell Crowe.
He added: "They're both just happy to have their family
around them at this time and both are really excited."
The wedding venue saw a frenzy of activity in the days
before the wedding, with a marquee erected outside.
Local newspapers reported on the event with gusto, with
headlines heralding "Kidmania" in Manly.
Pupils at a Catholic College opposite the Estate have
erected a sign welcoming the couple.
Locals described the venue as romantic, with an atmospheric
gravelled carriageway approaching the cathedral.
Engagement
Urban, 38, and Kidman, who turned 39 this week, confirmed
their engagement in May.
It will be Urban's first marriage. Kidman was married to
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise for a decade and adopted two
children, Connor and Isabelle, with him.
Both children have travelled to Australia for the wedding.
Jesuit father Paul Coleman met the couple earlier this week
to discuss their marriage, and is tipped to be conducting
the wedding ceremony.
The priest said he had a "good feeling about their chances".
"You've got to rely on their maturity and knowledge of each
other and I'm impressed," he told members of the Australian
media.
Kidman was born in Hawaii while Urban was born in New
Zealand. Both were brought up in Australia.
The actress won an Oscar in 2003 for her role as Virginia
Woolf in The Hours. Recent projects include Fur, in which
she plays photographer Diane Arbus, and thriller The
Visiting.
Country star Urban won a Grammy Award for best male country
vocal performance last year.
Asked what advice he would give the couple for their
marriage, Father Coleman said: "Make time for each other, do
romantic things together and never part without kissing."

A Few Basic Essentials To Keep In Mind

Here is my most important caution for you. Most
instructions require you to moisten the area (if it’s a
powder) and apply the powder or liquid, rub well and
RINSE. This last word is so important for your health!
You have cleaned the area. Things look nice. NOW PLEASE
GET RID OF THE RESIDUE! Unless you rinse off the
leftover disinfectant or cleanser, it will remain for
the next”rinse”: your shower! And now this chemical is
just waiting for you to stand in the shower: relaxed
and maybe singing or just breathing in all that lovely
steam…and chemical residue. The warm moist air causes
the particles to expand and they find their way very
easily right into your open lungs. If you ever
experience dizziness or lightheadedness or nausea after
a bath, check out the cleaning products. Or if you have
stomach pains a few hours after one, consider the
shower and the cleaning process.
Please don’t pour ANY chemicals from one larger
container to a smaller one. This practice is called
decanting. Often smaller container are used because
they are easier to handle. MOST likely it will not be
labeled appropriately. I am sure you have heard horror
stories where people have poured chemical cleaners into
fruit jugs and didn’t label them properly. Along came
someone who didn’t read the label, didn’t know the
product on the label was not the actual product in the
bottle, and proceeded to dispense it. Drinking or
inhaling these chemicals is very dangerous. The label
says so.

One thing I have never done with thePEBBLE is turn it into a
gossip column. However, the news is always so negative and
so much the same everyday, that I thought just this once I
would like a positive story. Hence the article on the
Kidman/Urban wedding.
I truly hope this couple have a long and happy marriage.
Lord knows there are so many who do not and that is doubly
so for those in the spotlight. It seems the press won't
leave them alone and the Inquirer, of course, will for sure
have them splitting, running around, having grotesque babies
and all sorts of crap.
An interesting theory has taken hold in my brain. I have no
idea where it came from but as I look out over world affairs
it seems to me there is a polarization going on. It is
beginning to look as if it is the Moslem world against the
Americans.
We all know of the ancient conflict between Jew and Arab,
but the Jew part of that equation seems to have grown into
the entire western world. In fact it looks like the Moslems
against everybody else.
I know not where wisdom went. Fighting only begets more
fighting. It solves nothing and stimulates further hatred if
nothing else. Yet when given a chance for peace the Moslem
so many times reverts back to his gun and more slaughter
erupts.
There are children in this world, trained from the time they
drew their first breath, to hate anything that appears to be
democratic or free enterprise. There are those who want such
authoritarian military control they actually want to revert
back to the state Afghanistan was in before the west stepped
in. Can you imagine wanting that condition?
One thing is certain. The Moslem world is having children
faster than any other group in earth. One day this
polarization issue will be much worse than it presently is.

can bring back that "old feeling" in both of you.

you take my bike in trade for it?"
The boy said, "You got a deal. "
The preacher took the mower and tried to crank it. He pulled
on the string a few times with no response from the mower.
The preacher called the little boy over and said, "I can't
get this mower to start."
The little boy said, "That's 'cause you have to cuss at it
to get it started. "
The preacher said, "I'm a minister, and I can't cuss. It's
