TODAY'S TRIVIA - - -
-----------------------
Is April Fools' Day still celebrated in France?
Where does April Fools' Day last 48 hours?
--------------
ANSWERS TO YESTERDAY'S TRIVIA - - - -
--------------
Where do we get the word "sleuth" from?
"Sleuth" is short for "sleuthhound," a Scottish bloodhound
good at tracking game or fugitives. Also called "slouthhound"
or "sluthhound."
How did April Fools' Day begin?
In France in the sixteenth century, the start of a new year
was celebrated on April 1 after a week of celebrations in
late March. In 1582, however, Pope Gregory introduced a
new calendar for Christians and the date of the new year
then fell on January 1. Some people never heard the news,
or didn't believe it, or didn't care -- and continued to
celebrate New Year's in April. Others called them "April fools"
and played tricks on them, such as inviting them to
non-existent functions, sending them on false errands, or
giving them false news. Practical jokes, of course, are still
played on April Fools' Day and can be very elaborate.
Sometimes the news media likes to participate. A British
short film once shown on April Fools' Day was a
"documentary" about "spaghetti farmers" and how they
harvest their crop from the spaghetti trees. (Anyone in the
US remember this? It played here also.)

OPTIMIZE LIFE NOW!
with Dr. Rhoberta Shaler
---------------------
Be Different!
To what extent are YOU making choices about your
activities, your values and your attitudes rather than
being affected, and thus controlled, by what others may
think? It is difficult to be a real power performer if
you think it is important to behave like everyone
else.
Do you back down because some folks do not agree with
what you want to do? Being confident in your ideas and
your ability to think them through is the starting
place for innovation. Who do you ask when you have a
new and, maybe, different idea? Do you go to someone
who is likely to agree with you, or someone who is
likely to tell you that you are mistaken? Do you want
to be supported
or stopped??? Many people count on
others to keep them from turning in new directions or
taking new risks. What is your pattern?
The extent to which other people affect you is
important to examine. Some people are very dependent on
those around them and are greatly influence by the
moods, attitudes and opinions of others. Others keep
their own counsel and are empathetic to others while
remaining true to themselves. This is preferable, isn't
it? Keep friends around you who will ask you good
questions and show interest in your ideas rather than
giving you their judgments and raining on your
parade. Sure, you may want their opinions to consider.
That's helpful to your thinking. It's the folks who
believe that their opinions are "facts" that are the
difficulty.
Surround yourself with people who are living fully and
pull each other in the direction of your dreams. The
extent to which you feel that you control your future
is the measure of what you will get out of life. To
some folks, life is like the weather--it just happens
to them, and they think they have no control. Really,
though, life is a majestic journey, an exciting
adventure, that you orchestrate and direct by the
hundreds of choices you make every day.
Keep it in mind!

Bones: Dont Take Your Support
System For Granted
PART 2 of 9
The smallest part of your body is the basic unit or
component: the cell. Each cell performs the same basic
and common activities in order to perform its mission
as a whole body. (Just as we as individuals are all
different, we still have the same parts to make us do
our uniqueness.) Those same functions of reproduction,
nourishment, and waste management keep you alive. Its
how you stay clean and grow and keep going. This
would include our expectation of having our hair grow,
our skin cells renew themselves, or new and healthier
kidney cells come back. It includes nail growth. We
expect this constant and ongoing growth to continue,
automatically.
Therefore these functions must not be interrupted or
eliminated. If they are, dont expect normal results.
You would not expect your computer to function without
its usual software. So dont expect your body to
function without its requirements. Its a computer. It
functions automatically. ). But lets concentrate on
bones. What are they? What do they look like? Bones are
made of fibrous tissue called connective tissue. It
is essentially solid and hard tissue: very dense. It is
immovable. If the immovable parts that support the body
need to bend, joints are inserted. They are made up
of living tissue with blood supply and food
requirements. Most bones are spongy on the inside and
very dense or hard and strong on the outside. The
spongy inside path houses the manufacturing
facilities for bone marrow.
Bones come in many shapes and sizes. They are made up
of cells, although we don't really think of them as we
would a skin or brain cell. Small bones such as the
malleus, incus, and stapes are located in the tiny
confines of the middle ear. They work as a special
team (transmitting sounds). Large bones such as the
skull, femur, and pelvis work more independently but
are also connected to other bones.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

----------------------------------------
Eloise knew of the events in Matto Grosso. It
had been so long since she had done any visiting,
what with being busy with the kids and the
village. She and Maz decided to come visit Miguele
and Abetta, and it seemed highly appropriate that
they do it when Riata was home.
"Oh! I've missed you guys. I haven't seen you
for nearly a year. It is so good to see you."
Eloise was really happy to be there.
For Miguele and Abetta's part they always had
a soft spot in their heart for Eloise. It was she
who turned their poverty into prosperity. It was
she who forgave Miguele's misguided attempt to
steal and rob into a never ending supply of food
and clothing, then gave them the truck with which
Miguele was able to earn a good living. And it was
Eloise who showed the girls, Oomano and Riata the
way to living by higher law.
Ultimately Eloise was the first cause to all
of them living by higher law. As such she had a
very special place in this household.
Mazunta, too, had a special place. Not only
was he the man Eloise had chosen to live her life
with, but it was Mazunta that had come to save
Miguele when he was shot and it was Mazunta who
was responsible for Romano finding higher law.
Between them this couple, Eloise and Mazunta,
were the first cause for all present realizing
higher law.
They all had beverages and sat at the kitchen
table exchanging stories and bringing everyone up
to date.
"Have you kept track of all the kids from the
orphanage, Riata?"
"I have, mostly. They are all busy doing the
work. They are spread out all over the world. I
think one of them is over working with Sonora and
Hemno in Africa and the others are seeing the
world as well as doing the work. They are much
like Mae and Susan, aiding those they find in
their travels. Once in a while I run into them
when called away on a mass aid project, but
otherwise they are all busy. Two or three of them
have come to visit the orphanage in China and
another two or three are setting up their own
orphanages where needed. They are all busy."
"Isn't that a wonderful thing. Slowly, ever so
slowly, we are able to spread the word. With Sien
and his group hovering over all of us and
broadcasting love unto mankind, it helps make life
more peaceful and aids us in our work. It is
because of those masters that we are able to find
those who want to learn."
Juanita was listening to the conversation. She
was in awe of this group. Here she was, six months
ago, living the life of a harlot. Now she was
amongst masters and was, herself, a master. Her
life had changed dramatically, thanks to the
efforts of Romano and Oomano. Now she was in the
presence of those who had done great things and
they were speaking about it as if it were a normal
part of everyday life. That she was present in
this group and treated as an equal, kept her in
awe.
It seemed to Juanita these people treated
everyone alike, as equals. They had a very deep
understanding of the foibles of man and they loved
man in spite of it. They well recognized they were
the fortunate ones and wanted to give unto man all
that man needed to find his way to higher law.
Juanita found a similar desire rising like a
ground swell within her own chest. She knew she
would be able to help and was thankful.
The kids were all children of those who lived
by higher law. They played peacefully and happily
together, without the normal "this is mine" or "I
had it first" conversations one could often hear
around children. Already they spread the love of
knowing individuals.
The adults emerged from the house, each
carrying a beverage. They brought one each for the
kids as well. They came out to sit in the warm,
wonderful sunshine where they would continue their
visiting. The love that could be felt in this
place was powerful. Each person emitted and
broadcast love for a distance of thirty feet or
more in all directions. Even the flowers, the
trees and the birds gathered to take of the love
that was offered.
Days like this do not occur often. All present
cherished the moment, the minute, the day. Juanita
was overwhelmed with gratitude and reverence. She
well knew that just a few short months ago this
would only have been a dream, if one could even
dream this.

TODAY'S REPORT:
Publish America advised me today the book is in the
printing process. It apparently can take up to six weeks,
although they expect it sooner. The entire process from
signing the contract to book distribution is a year. That's a
lot of work folks, and it is amazing the procedures, the
proofing and the editing that has to go on. I'm looking
forward to it and I hope you are too.

THINK ABOUT THIS TODAY!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
HA! HA! HA!
Two women came before wise King Solomon, dragging
between them a young man in a three-piece suit.
"This young CPA agreed to marry my daughter," said one.
"No! He agreed to marry MY daughter," said the other.
And so they haggled before the King, until he demanded
silence. "My sword! Bring me my biggest sword," said
Solomon, "and we shall cut the young man in half. Each
of you shall receive a half."
"Fine. Sounds good to me," said the first lady.
But the other woman said, "Oh Sire, do not spill innocent
blood. Let this other woman's daughter marry him."
The wise king did not hesitate a moment. "Indeed, the
accountant must marry the first lady's daughter," he
proclaimed.
"But she was willing to hack him in two!" exclaimed
the king's court.
"Precisely!" said wise King Solomon. "That shows
he is the TRUE mother-in-law."
