What happened to the body of Eva Peron after her death?
Eva Peron was the enormously popular young wife of
Argentine president and dictator Juan Peron. After her
death at the age of 33 from cancer, Juan had her body
embalmed and placed on a glass base in a dark chamber,
illuminated by a single beam of light. Juan's support following
her demise was weakened, however, and he was soon
ousted in a military coup. Generals responsible for the
coup had Eva's corpse moved from place to place for the
next 16 years, over two continents, to prevent her body
from becoming an object of pilgrimage to her devout and
potentially politically dangerous admirers. In the early
seventies, Eva's body was finally returned to Argentina.
(For an excellent novel about the real-life "afterlife" of
Eva Peron, read Santa Evita by Tomas Eloy Martinez.)
What body part did Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein,
keep on her desk?
Mary Shelley reportedly kept the heart of her drowned
husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley, on her desk.

They Burn The Church So
They Can Rob The Bank!
The slave driver of the Roman ship stared down at his
slaves and yelled, "I've got good news and bad news.
The good news is that you'll be getting double rations
tonight."
The mumbling of the happy slaves was interrupted by
the bellowing of the slave driver.
"The bad news is that the commander's son wants to
water ski tomorrow morning."
WOW! Men are so easily caught. This is the age old situation
that comes up so often I can't imagine how men continue
to get away with it.
The kind of trick described here is a favorite of government
at all levels. You can be sure that if they want to push
something through they know is not liked by the masses
then they will develop a story to get your mind off it and
onto something else. It is so old it even shows up in
children's bedtime stories.
So what does one do? Well, first of all consider that most
schemes are either to take advantage of your time or to
part you from your money. I have a secret for you. Only the
greedy can be conned out of their money. Those who are
happy where they are at and with what they are doing are
a harder mark to take down.
An old platitude says that your weakest point is the thing
you want the most. That is true. It is understood through
all the centuries of man and is as true today as when it
was first spoken. To find your weak spot simply determine
what it is that you want the most. Skilled con artists have
a way of finding these things out and can work on you fast.
So that, then, is also our protection. Once you know your
weak spot you can become more attentive to what is being
offered. All you need know is there is no free lunch.
Everything in this universe comes with some price. Look
for that price and you will gain ground faster because you
can then determine what things for which you are willing
to pay the price.

Bioburden: How Much Is Too Much
How Many Bugs (Micro-organisms) Create A Problem
PART 1 of 11
Bioburden is a very technical term. It carries a lot
of meaning in the medical community. But in the real
world (outside of this medical community), few people
actually use or understand the term. Yet, most people
do use the underlying concept throughout their day. So
I will discuss how medical world uses it. By learning a
bit more, it might influence your own in (non-medical)
decisions. Once you recognize the idea, you can then
compare home and hospital. You could also assess
possible risk factors.
Dont get too involved in the details...this is just
meant for your general interest. As always, if you feel
this subject alerts you to some unusual situation in
your own life, please consult your doctor. My intention
is to help you see your life as safe and healthy, and
raise your awareness of potential risks in your
everyday environment.
I think it is very valuable to see how a home
environment is different from a hospital one: why you
would want to not stay in a hospital for any length of
time. Usually you are going to fix up another problem.
You do not expect to be confronted with possible
infections. When you do have to go to a facility, you
go expecting your stay to be safe and healthy.
Unfortunately you may find some surprises. So there are
things to be considered.
Also when you understand the significance of all of
this information; you may be a little more willing to
answer questions that seem repetitive or simple:
information to do with your general health and possible
allergies.

THE NET'S BEST KEPT SECRET

THE SAGA OF PINEHILL
by Ken Darby
--------------------------------------
Eloise Henry, age 18 when the story began
and David Wylie, age 20, were selected by a
stranger in town to take a dangerous trip,
together. The idea was that each was to take
only the clothes on their back and go
anywhere in the world where the stranger
took them. They were to be left there to find
their own way home. They had no money,
no identification, and no idea where they
were. If they arrived back home, there
would be a million dollars waiting in each
of their bank accounts
The story deals with their adventures along
and leads to the only way they could survive.
The story leads to many friends, many
adventures and many places.
As you read enjoy. It continues . . . . . . .

----------------------------------------
That did not mean the kids were pushy, far
from it. They had a good grounding in manners, yet
they were bush kids and the manner of play back
home made them far stronger than most kids here,
of the same age. So a challenge to swim out to an
anchored raft became no challenge. The neighbor
kids couldn't try without parental permission,
where Maz and AliAnne just did it. They did it not
out of showmanship. They did it because in the
heart of their soul they knew they could, so they
did.
As the neighbors watched it was clear they did
not themselves understand how Sam and Alewka could
permit such activity. Did they not know of the
danger. The swim to the raft was a long one, and
not only did they have to swim there, but they had
to get back. It was plain to Sam, Alewka, Maz and
Eloise, that the neighbors sat there in
consternation. They understood not how such
youngsters would be permitted to take that swim.
Yet the neighbors knew not higher law either.
All the adults at the Henry's knew that if
trouble developed they would handle it. They also
knew no trouble would develop, because they knew
the kids and their capabilities.
It was always Maz's and Eloise's policy to let
the kids go find out what the world was all about.
They were there to guide, not rule, and when the
kids got into territory that was not the right
time or place then Maz or Eloise would rein them
in. The point here is they wanted the kids to
experience all of life. They did not want to
establish false fears in them by continually being
on them about "Don't swim too far from shore!",
"Don't go on the pier without a life jacket!",
"Don't do this" or "Don't do that". A steady
barrage of that kind of control by parents soon
brings a child to a point where they can no
longer know life. They become encased within a
"bubble" of false fears and "no no's".
Yet, when it came time to respect another's
person or property Maz and Eloise made sure the
kids knew exactly that they were to leave things
alone that were not theirs. They were well taught
that as they grew in higher law they could
manifest anything they wanted and that no man in
earth possessed anything they could want or need.
They were taught that all men are equal, that
none are exempt from their love. Many may not
return it, some may be jealous but they were
taught to love all, respect all and to live at all
times as a guest wherever they were. That meant
they had to respect the "social expectations" of
the group in which they found themselves.
Maz and Eloise advised them that as this was a
Friday they should get all the fun they wanted
today, for tomorrow would undoubtedly be busier
and they would have to be more attentive to
increased use of the lake. For example, they would
have to be more wary of traffic if they were going
to swim out to the raft tomorrow. All this made
sense to the kids and they understood.
For the kids part they always and immediately
did what their parents asked. They had long ago
learned they could do most anything, that their
parents trusted their judgement. So when one of
their parents asked them to do something or not to
do something it was usually with very good reason.
They understood they had to participate in all the
chores of family living. They understood the need
for self discipline and the power that would give
them one day. And they just plain wanted to be a
part of all the family did.
They took that attitude with them wherever
they went. When they visited Grandma's and
Grandpa's here in Pinehill they were always
helpful and did as they were asked. Their paternal
grandparents lived in the village with them and
the kids did the same for them when they were
home.
So Maz and Eloise were training their children
by showing them to respect the rights of others
and by showing them the fruits of self discipline,
rather than by issuing a continual string of
"don'ts" and rather than imposing upon them false
fears.
The result was the children were strong of
character as well as body. They had self
confidence that oozed from their pores. They
possessed a strength that was recognized by all
around them, even the adults.
So, when these strange kids came to visit,
they were allowed to do much more than the kids
who lived there. It presented a problem for the
parents of those kids. The problem was not that
the kids wouldn't listen to them but that the kids
were now putting pressure on them for permission
to do things the parents could now plainly see was
all right. As with children the world over, they
were having to drag their parents into a new
awareness of their own children's capabilities.
Life gets unnecessarily tough for a kid under
those circumstances.

HA! HA! HA!
On the first day of creation, God created the dog.
On the second day, God created man to serve dog.
On the third day, God created all the animals of the
earth (especially the horse) to serve as potential
food for the dog.
On the fourth day, God created honest toil so that
man could labor for the good of the dog.
On the fifth day, God created the tennis ball so that
the dog might or might not retrieve it.
On the sixth day, God created veterinary science to
keep the dog healthy and the man broke.
On the seventh day, God tried to rest, but He had
to walk the dog.
